Waterworks Pressure Cleaning

In February 2015 I purchased a special promotion from Water Works. It included pressure washing, staining and tightening any lose boards on my deck. I did not think twice about the getting the deal because I often used Angie?s List without any issues from any of the previous contractors. The deal said that I would have been contacted directly by Water Works to set up an appointment. I waited 2 weeks and to my disappointment they never contacted me. I called Water Works to ask when they would be able to honor the deal. I was asked to be patient because they received an overwhelming number of responses, and that they did not know when they could schedule the work to be completed on my deck. I decided that I would follow up with them two weeks later and then they provided me with a scheduled appointment within the next two weeks. They never showed up or contacted me to let me know that they would not be able to make it. I received approximately 20 or more phone calls from Water Works with scheduled appointments that ended up being no shows / missed appointments. Unfortunately, it took 5 months before an employee of Water Works had come out to complete the work. I was expecting someone that had experience with pressure washing or completing deck repairs.The employees were young males (freshmen) home from college that had no previous experience doing this type of work.As a result, the work was done very poorly. I am going to list multiple things that did not go well for this project. 1. The technicians work was less than satisfactory, they poured stain out on my lawn and got stain on the siding of my house and they did not inform me about it. 2. The technicians asked to borrow tools to complete the work and ran out of supplies, and as a result they had to come back multiple times. They also were nice enough to let me know the owners of the company were at the beach on vacation. 3. The deck was not stained properly, there were several areas of the deck that were not covered with the stain. To my surprise! Two weeks after the project was done, I received an Invoice from Water Works for additional charges. As you can imagine, I was not happy to receive this bill. I called Water Works and asked to speak with the Manager and I informed him that I am not aware of any additional repairs, and that I did not authorize them. You would think that considering the history with Water Works that the manager would apologize for the invoice and take care of it. That is NOT what happened. The Manager instead told me how much money they lost doing the deal. He mentioned that Angie's List get almost 50% of the funds from the deal, they had to pay the employees, gas to get to the my location and supplies. I would not recommend using Water Work and I would strongly suggest that Angie?s List remove them from their website. ----- Negotiated terms to rectify the issues.

It ended up being okay. We first purchased the deal and then it was going to be six weeks later. They sent an email that they also did pressure washing so I added that to the order. When they showed up they didn't have what they needed to do the gutters nor did they have a pressure washer. Then there is no plan to follow up or schedule the follow up visit. I cancelled it because they said it was going to be like three weeks later. I actually called Angie's List about crediting it to another vendor, which we did, and then the Waterworks people show up the next week and it was just kind of a nightmare. They did check the gutters and I didn't need gutter cleaning but they actually did attach gutter guards and then they sent me an invoice for some pressure washing and gutter cleaning and it was long and messy. At the end of the day I spoke with the owner and he said waters under the bridge they credited me, because they never did pressure wash anything, down to what the original package was that I bought. We called it well and good and ended it there. I wouldn't use them again and I wouldn't recommend them.

I could never get the job scheduled AFTER someone came out to the house and performed an estimate. The most frustrating part was after I cancelled the service, I then started receiving calls informing me that technicians would be at my home to perform the requested service the very next day. I would inform them that the service was cancelled and someone would call again the next week. This craziness continued for about one month.

Took a long time (as in months) to schedule because they are veyr busy. When we finally did, they were very professional. Some of the windows were not cleaned thoroughly, but overall the quality was fine. This was a Angie's List coupon deal.

Due to rainy weather, the service was delayed several times and the entire cleaning took over a week. We were not notified of delays, rather we had to call them for updates. Equipment failure, running out of daylight and rainy weather required the service tech to come out several times before the work was complete. The young man who came out was very pleasant and polite, and took care not to soak our new plants with the cleaning solution. The equipment and solutions he used were very effective and all areas cleaned looked great. We were happy with the results of all the cleaning, but thought the overall price of cleaning all the areas was high - much higher than we have paid in the past for the same services. We tried to get an up-front bid on the cleaning of the driveway and patio before the service tech came out, but we did not get a response from the main office. Had we known the cost of the additional areas, we probably would have gotten other bids. (Price was determined once the service tech arrived and took pictures and measured square footage which were sent to the main office via text.) After all the delays, we just wanted the work done quickly since the tech was there, so we agreed to the additional fees and didn't get other bids. We used this provider because of an Angie's List Deal, but in the end, we felt like it was a bit of a bait and switch. I was happy with the overall quality of the cleaning, but was frustrated with the length of time it took as well as the unexpected high cost compared to another company we have used.

They were supposed to come 2 weeks ago and I gave them a 5 day window. I still have not heard anything from them. It was a horrible experience.

I'm sure many people have read stories about small businesses that offer Groupons for discounted services and then can't handle the consumer response, either providing sub-par service or going under completely. Waterworks pressure cleaning appears to be the Angie's List version of that story. First, they should immediately fire whomever handles their email correspondence and scheduling. Their emails were inscrutable; no one EVER answers the phone; and we only received one single line email response from our multiple email inquiries. They schedule in blocks by neighborhood and don't really accommodate requests for dates. I understand this. However, they seemed to think that giving us almost zero notice (sometimes only a few hours) was okay. Our deck is in the back and in order to ensure access we have to leave our gate unlocked. It's simply not possible to do so everyday on the off chance that Waterworks could be bothered to visit us. Six weeks after we ordered the service a nice gentleman showed up to pressure clean our patio - though he spent maybe 45 minutes total and there were many spots (e.g. where pots had been) that need a bit more TLC. Then about a week later another man showed up and sprayed the sealant - pretty carelessly I might add. Both men were perfectly nice and clearly over-scheduled. They didn't really have the time or the support to do the job properly. I think this is clearly a management issue. In sum, the deal seemed like a bargain and we got sub-par service. I would recommend renting your own pressure washer and doing it yourself - your deck would look better and you'd save yourself the aggravation.

They were fine but it was just not what I was expecting. The only thing I disliked was that they weren't using any type of cleanser.

I had an okay experience with them. I thought they were going to clean all of the roof and they only cleaned part of it. They were busy so it took awhile to actually get it scheduled. They could have communicated better when they would be arriving. They just said they'd be there that day and they didn't give me a time. They didn't tell me when they were finished. They should have asked for some feedback.

I purchased the Angie's Deal to pressure wash and seal our deck. After several attempts to get a date, they finally said they would be out on June 3 a full 6 weeks after the purchase. They finally did come on June 3 and did a poor job in pressure washing the deck. Somebody was supposed to contact me and come back to seal the deck once it had dried. Unfortunately, nobody ever came back after requests by both me and Angie's List to finish the job. I have now hired another contractor to finish the work they started. I really wanted to get the deck cleaned for the summer and to date, we have not been able to use the back deck due to its unfinished condition. Bottom line it was a waste of $199.00 and now I have to pay somebody else to finish job this for me. This was a bad experience from start to finish and I would not recommend them.

It went okay, it was good. They cleaned the gutters. There was one little spot where something got caught the next day but I had my son go up and dislodge it and then we were okay. They did satisfactory work.

I wasn't impressed. It was just one guy. There was an area that was kind of difficult to get and he didn't do it.

I paid for service driveway cleaning on April 9th , have been trying to schedule appointment since ,today is June 29th they don't respond and they do not refund me my money . I am disappointed ANGIE'S LIST would continue to have this vendor. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

Process was good, service was good.

Horribly. They moved patio furniture and did not place it back. They did not even pressure wash where the furniture was removed. I have requested a full refund, and they have not responded to that request. This was purchased in January and the job was not completed until June. Horrible. DO NOT USE. STAY AWAY.

I had contact after my purchase of an Angie's Deal on 4/20 via email that they would contact me soon to schedule my service. I got another email on 5/4 scheduling my service for 6/2. The person showed up on time and cleaned my deck. He then cleaned my gutters by throwing the material all over my yard, including on my newly cleaned deck. He told me that someone would be there in a week to stain and seal my deck. I purchased the stain and left it for the company since I was traveling of and on for work. When no one had contacted me by 6/10, I called the office and was told by "Nicky" that she was the only scheduler and that she was behind and would schedule me as soon as she had time.yI finally received a call that someone would be there to do the stain and sealing on 6/16. The person called me on the appointed day since I wasn't home and we spoke several times throughout the day. He indicated that the deck would look better with a second coat, which I agreed to and I told him I would purchase it first thing Saturday 6/20 since he wanted to come back that morning. When I didn't hear anything from him that weekend, I called him on Monday, 6/22 and was told that he had been let go by the company. It is now 6/27 and I haven't heard anything back from the company. I am sending them another email to try to rectify the situation, but I am very dissatisfied as I have live for deck furniture on my lawn and a half-finished deck for almost 2 weeks. This is the second time I've purchased an Angie's Deal and it will be the last. Apparently companies sell these services and then are unable to deal with the response. I would expect Angie's List to check out the companies that want to participate in this program to determine whether or not they can deliver the service.
