McIntyre Fencing - Georgia

Repeat customer, first time they did a wonderful job back in 2017, hired them again in 2022 for a continuation of my fence and was disappointed. Scheduled the install date 1.5 months in advance, took a vacation day in advance so I could be home, and they showed up on the wrong day, called me from work, and I had to ask to leave work early. They never once apologized for making me leave work and wasting a vacation day even though the paperwork showed they were wrong. They didn't clean up any of the scrap pieces they cut off of the vinyl fence install, they left cellophane wrap, candy, and band aid wrappers all around for me to pick up, that my dogs could have choked on. They also never collected any of the 15 softball sized rocks they dug up, just left them in my yard. Customer service was lacking, reached out to the company and still haven't heard back from them in over a week now.

I will say up front that if the owner had at least acknowledged the email I sent her to provide feedback about my installation, I wouldn't be writing this review. But she did not, so..... If you are simply looking for a straight, sturdy fence at a reasonable price, then you will get that from this company. For the most part I am happy with my fence, and the overall experience of working with this company. Customer assistance from the office staff (Ashley) was excellent, and the crew that installed the fence was professional, respectful, and courteous. However, if you value attention to detail and good craftsmanship as much as I do, then I would look elsewhere. It is for that reason that I rated them as only fair. A few examples of what I mean.... inconsistent picket widths; numerous nails missing their mark; pickets not properly fastened; inconsistent post-to-post section widths; and quality of wood used could have been much better. Unfortunately I would not hire them again for those reasons.

Very professional and responsive. Start to finish this company was great to work with. They finished in only 1 day which was great and the timeframe from estimatee to completion was only a week. Their customer service is awesome and the price was very affordable. I would highly recommend this company for your fencing needs.

This crew was courteous and professional. They worked hard and did a great job. The fence looks great!

Disappointed. I had McIntyre install an aluminum gate across my driveway. The hinges for the gate was installed on a post such that it left a minimal clearance between the driveway and after year and half the gate sagged just enough to start scraping the driveway. When called to ask to adjust the hinges upward, they told me that it was out of warranty and it would be a minimum of $300 for them to come out and fix it. I would not hire them again.

The man that came out and measured for estimate was very nice and helped with the layout of the fence. We accepted the estimate and set up installation date. The two men who came to install were very nice and professional. They installed fence, two walk gates and one drive gate. I had them come back to adjust one gate and have had no problems with the fence or their work. I would hire them again and do recommend them.

Called to get an estimate on fence repair and the estimator came out that day and I was told I would have the quote e-mailed over that afternoon. Nothing showed up. I called the next morning and Ashley who I spoke with said she would send it right over. Two hours later, I had nothing. I called back again, and was told that it had to be entered into the computer, and I would have it by noon. It finally showed up 11:50am, and was a good bit higher than the other quotes I had. If I have to hound you just to get an estimate sent over, what will you do if I give you the actual job ? If I'm trying to give you work, I shouldn't have to hound you to do your job and send over an estimate - and reading the reviews it appears I'm not the only one.

Asked for an estimate for about 300 feet of fence. We were very specific regarding our needs. However the original estimate, which was days late, was so off target, it was almost to much to believe. After thinking it over for a week, we sent an email asking for a correction, thinking surely their was a mistake. Another two days later, we got the new estimate and it was still wrong. So we once again shared what we needed. We then asked if they could get back to us in a more timely matter. We got a "working on it" response. SIX DAYS later, nothing came in. Instead of actually attempting to speed up something simple that would have only taken a few minutes, they never responded, until we sent an email letting them know we would not require their services since it appeared they could have not cared less about our needs or gaining another customer. It was only then we got a response which simply said "Wishing you the best". It was clear they felt they did not need our business

Ashley helped me over a period of several weeks to find different kinds of fencing examples and offered pricing in a helpful and timely manner until such time as I made my decision. Installers were prompt and courteous and did a very good job. I had actually called another fencing company recommended by a neighbor that did come out, but short of an email acknowledging the visit I never received the quote or a follow up phone call. Because I knew exactly how many feet I wanted installed and could mark the property lines myself, I was able to handle the entire transaction by email and phone. I have recommended McIntyre Fencing to my neighbor who is planning on installing fencing very soon.

They were able to install my fence only 1 week after initial estimate. They arrived on time and completed the job in the allotted time. The overall quality of the job was very good and the price was in line with other companies. The workers were friendly and did a nice job cleaning up when finished. Good customer service.

We built a new pool and per the county code we had to have a fence to enclose it. I didn't want one, but since we had to have one, I decided it was going to be a beautiful fence that matched the craftsman style of our house (stained wood posts, dadoes, bronze caps and bronze iron fencing). Nobody locally wanted to do this specialty job. We priced iron fencing at a wholesale fence supply company thinking we could install it ourselves and maybe it would also be cheaper. After getting the quote, we called the fence manufacturer and asked if they recommended anyone. They recommended McIntyre fencing, but it was 1 1/2 to 2 hours away from us. We called anyway and they said they would come down here and do the installation. Not only was their bid over $1000 cheaper than the wholesale fencing place, but they were going to install it for us. They were very easy to work with and very accommodating considering we had to change the installation date 3 times due to issues with the pool. They also endured endless questioning by my husband. Once they started the installation, they expertly installed the posts we supplied and even put up the supports for two arbors. Everything is sturdy, straight, and perfect. They cleaned up after themselves and left the area looking better than when they came in. I am telling all of my friends and associates that if they need a fence, this is the only company they should call.

Absolutely great job! Had gotten two other estimates from other companies and theirs was the most competitive. They were able to start work within a week, which was something the others didn't offer. They also offered the service of sealing the fence as well, which was a big added plus for me. The end result was a beautiful fence that looks great with my home. This is a local family owned and operated business. I highly recommend them. They were very professional. The owner himself came out and did my initial estimate, and also sealed the fence. His son and his crew constructed the fence. It was a pleasure dealing with them as so many companies these days lack in customer service and pride in their work.

Went well. McIntyre arrived on time, performed worked as expected and cleaned up before they left. Actually, it appeared that they were never there as they left the area clean.

I became familiar w. Mcintyre Fencing when they did a fence at my brother's business. I saw first hand the level of quality in their work as well as the quality in their workers. When I closed on my own home, of course, they were among the companies I called for a quote. They were prompt and provided me w. a quote that fit both my specs and my budget. They were nearly half the price of other quotes I'd received because they stuck to necessities that needed replacing instead of trying to convince me to replace entire sections that were not damaged. We were quoted, booked, and job completed all within 3 days of each other. The work was done quickly, to the specs discussed, and it ended up looking better then we imagined. All in all, I see why my brother uses them...and I"ll def. use them again if the need arises.30

From beginning to end, the employees of McIntyre Fencing were patient with my questions, helpful in determining the appropriate fence needed to contain a small terrier who can climb, and very accommodating with my desire to have the fence built as quickly as possible despite having to wait for our city to process a permit.

The installers arrived right on time and installed the fence in a timely manner. They were very professional and did a wonderful job.

They showed up on time worked quickly and efficiently. They cleaned up before they left. I will definitely use them again.

They put in a different fence post without ever letting me know they were here. They never even knocked on my door and left a very poor clean up job. I then contacted them to express my complaints. They informed me that they no longer had the particular fence post that I had needed and apologized. I explained that they had left quite a mess on my property and would like some sort of reimbursement. After numerous phone calls and complaints, the owner finally agreed to refund me $75 due to the poor work that was done. I would never use them again and I would not recommend them either.

Submitted a request for a quote on the contractors web site. Was contacted by phone on Nov. 4th and was told someone would be at my house between 10 and 10:30 on the 5th of Nov. Mr. David McIntyre arrived about 10:30 on the 5th of Nov. I showed him the location of the fence and he took measurements and said that someone would be in touch later today or the next day with a quote. One week later and have heard nothing from the contractor. Guess my job was too small or they just don't want my business. Will call another contractor and see how that goes.

I called McIntrye Fence to do some repair work to my existing fence. They were very responsive and came out and advised my gate did not have to be replaced, just the latch. The scope of the work was nominal and I had other fencing companies tell me to hire a handyman or try to replace the majority or all of my fencing. McIntrye Fencing gave me a quote which would have matched a handyman and came out and did the work within a week. They would have done it sooner but my schedule conflicted. It is so refreshing to find professional friendly HONEST people.
