Description of Work: They wired my awning into existing power, and re-wired a switch that had been bypassed by a previous contractor.

Description of Work: I have service contract with Hammond for multiple systems & found their staff pleasant & generally knowledgable. Was disappointed in first electrician who was to check electrical system in older house I purchased and there was a problem with some of his work & he was unable to locate the reason when he was sent to recheck. A second electrician was sent on a Sunday & immediately recognized the cause & corrected the work. Have also been impressed with the HVAC tech who was most helpful with his suggestions & his work showed respect for the property.

Description of Work: Recharged refrigerant and corrected an issue with AC system. Responded the same day on a weekend and had the issue repaired within 6 hours of occurence.

Description of Work: We had no electrical power in 3 of the GFI outlets in the kitchen. The technician arrived on time to check the outlets and found a loose screw behind one outlet and tightened it. All outlets are now working. We had to pay for the house call.

Description of Work: Troubleshoot heat pump system. Repairs made without parts. Serviceman requested 2nd opinion of problem. Supervisor came next day. Assessed that it should be a wait a see issue. System working good now. No cost due to annual service plan. Only reason not "A" on quality is serviceman did not reseal the filter cover.

Description of Work: Hammond Services replaced roughly 40 feet of sewer line for my home due to a pine tree invading the old line causing a major backup into my home. The technician took 2 days to remove and replace the sewer line. I was quite surprised that only 1 technician was dispatched to take care of the job. I really thought this should've been a 2-person job which would have reduced the time that I was without water to my home. I have had no problems with the new sewer line but I have issues with the way my yard was left after the work was complete. The technician mounded the dirt over the areas that had been dug up leaving my yard a terrible unleveled mess with exposed clay and dirt and nothing to hold it in place. When I was informed by friends of mine that I could be liable for any run-off, I emailed pictures of my front yard to Hammond Services and they sent someone out to place hay on top of the dirt. They assured me they would send the technician back out in a few days to level out my yard once the ground had time to dry out from the winter storms we were experiencing at the time. He returned and leveled the yard somewhat but it still is not acceptable. The repairs that are needed to restore my yard to its previous condition are beyond my scope of expertise so I am going to have to have someone finish leveling my yard and get grass planted. I've been using Hammond Services for years to maintain my HVAC system and have never had any problems and highly recommend them. I guess I should have been more thorough in my discussions with them concerning the plumbing issues and what I'd be responsible for in restoring my yard after the job was complete.
