Charles from Charles Home Improvement came to the house and truly listened to my somewhat complex needs including a bathroom with no curbs, no shower doors, or walls. "I do not recommend, I had a banister put up and initially it looked ok however it was not sturdy, multiple issues and when I contacted Acosta to have it redone he simply used glue. Long story short within less than a year we were having to pay a contractor to totally redo the work as the banister came down!"

"PLEASE READ: Mark was great to work with in the beginning. After I did calculations for some items, Mark became angry and stopped communicating. Before construction could continue, I needed to get an electrician out because there was a real issue. Mark insisted there wasn't. After I insisted and called him out on his lack of communication, he said he was sending over his electrician the next morning. I cancelled plans and stayed home to wait on electrician. I never heard from Mark and he did not respond to texts. I called and he said there was nothing wrong and a new switch was installed. I called an electrician. There was an issue and the new switch was not installed. We also agreed that I would pay for flooring materials on main floor(lvp and underlayment) and Mark would demo and level kitchen and provide transition and baseboard. The floor is sloped in an area and there is a random square board and cuts in wood in more than one area. Mark used my old cheap laminate as a transition board on the stairs. This is not a joke or exaggeration. In addition, Mark did not use the underlayment that I purchased at his recommendation. Mark’s company cut and painted flooring on my gray stained covered porch without putting anything down. I have this on blink video occurring all day. There was paint and dust all over the porch. Mark does not apologize ever. The area had sharp small nails on stairs that were not even worked on. Mark said my request to correct this is ridiculous and said he would not repair slope. I’ve given him every opportunity to repair. I asked for an additional contract so we could let the contract guide us instead. Mark refused to add repairing of slope area and ignores me about underlayment. I asked him not to continue work or send his guys back for other work(He is doing insurance work on bottom floor.) Mark sent his guys twice after this and they just came into the house. I sent them home on Labor Day and texted Mark that I explicitly asked him not to be on the property until we had a signed agreement. His response was they could just work in garage. Update: 9/9/24! Mark is now demanding I take the reviews down or he won’t repair floors. The nightmare continues. He said he is putting a lien on my house. He says I am preventing him from doing the work but that is a complete lie. Read all details above to understand."

"Jose and his wife, Sandra, (J&S) were very kind and easy to work with! They were accurate on their material list (very little waste) and fair in their prices! They brought several workers with them the first today of the drywall install and they worked steadily until all was hung that day. (A full garage ceiling and walls and upstairs garage apartment drywall for certain requested ceiling areas.). After that Jose spent several days with a helper getting all the taping, mudding and sanding done; then finished with priming upstairs as requested and priming and painting downstairs. He made sure we were satisfied in every way at a fair price! Thank you, Jose and Sandra and your crew!"

"Excellent, also ask about a bathroom sink 65 years old. He said the sink was to far gone and not worth resurfacing. We appreciated his honest opinion. He did clean up 2 bathroom sinks , no charge and removed old stains and they look so much better. Exceptional service and very personable."
