+ -1 moreWe could not be happier with the final product. Norb's quote was $700-$1,800 less than the other three estimates we received for the project. He was responsive and on-time setting up the estimate appt. He provided multiple estimates with different options we were considering as well as informing of permit requirements/processes. Getting the actual work scheduled was a bit frustrating due to holidays, bad weather, and my work travel, but Norb's crew showed up on time and ready to go once actual project got underway. His foreman - Reuben (?) I think - was polite and kept us informed along the way. Given our dog is a little guy, he ensured that ground level gaps were as small as possible to keep him in. Norb stopped by mid-day to check on progress. A two-day job for concrete to set, they made good progress and actually finished in day and a half. Was initially cautious about quality of workmanship given big estimate differences, but workmanship and materials were top quality and extremely sturdy. The dog certainly approves!
Description of Work: Install combo privacy/chain link fence in back yard for new family puppy. Approximately 300ft total. Front street-facing side was 6' wood privacy fence. Sides and back were 4' black chain link. Included three gates - 4' wood and chain link gates and 8' wood gate.

Description of Work: The company sent me a quote for a privacy fence. I asked for references and they would only give me two one of which did not have a wooden fence installed. They refused to provide additional references.

Description of Work: TOTAL WASTE OF MY TIME! I Contacted this company to get an estimate for a fence. I had to wait 3 days before someone could come out and give an estimate. The day of the appointment the guy was a NO-SHOW! I called 20 minutes after he was supposed to be at my home only to get a voice mail. I left a message asking if there was a problem or if he could not make it to please give me a call back so I could go on with other things I needed to do. I never received a call back. In fact, It has been two days since the appointment and I still have received no call. I understand things happen sometimes but I needed the fence installed fast and I arranged my scheudle to be home for this appointment - then to not even call me and let me know that he would not be able to make it the day of the appointment let alone two days later is just garbage. I know nothing serious happened to this guy because I did receive a call around 7 p.m the day of the appointment and my caller I.D picked up his name but he did not even have the decency to leave a message - which to me is the same as NO CALL! BE FOREWARNED! I would NEVER do business with a company like this PERIOD!

+ -1 moreThe owner and quot;Norband quot; worked directly on my house fence project himself with one additional employee. I informed Norb from the get go that I chose him not only because of the savings he offered in comparison to the three other quotes I received but I chose him due to the fact he was listed on Angie's list and his prior reviews were credible. The fence he installed at our house is VERY NICE and is incredibly sturdy. The installation took only 2 days which was very impressive when your talking about the size of my back yard, BIG AND UNEVEN TERRAIN. Norb did not even flinch when I decided at the last minute to have a fence post installed in a concrete walkway beside my house so the fence butted up right next to my side garage door entrance. I explained that it would make it easier to let my dog into the garage during the winter and he said no problem. OVERALL me and my wife are very impressed with the finished product and we would recomend Alcovy Fence to anyone in the Atlanta metro area who wants quality work and materials at a very affordable price!
Description of Work: We received two quotes from Alcovy Fence, one for a 6 foot wood privacy fence and another for a chain link fence. We opted for the 4 foot galvanized chain link fence and we have a large back yard "390 foot total run" and we saved by choosing Alcovy Fence in comparison to 3 other quotes that I received from other local fence companies. The savings averaged over $1,000 on the chain link fence alone. "YES I SAID THAT RIGHT A $1,000 DIFFERENCE"!

+ -1 moreThey charged us a little over $5000 for 590 feet of fencing. Everybody else quoted us $7000 or $8000, but Alcovy Fence Co was definitely the least expensive one. Our cousin has used them before and my brother-in-law has also used them. So, we knew that they were good. The service went very well. The guy we dealt with is very professional. He did a very good job. My father who is very hard to please was impressed by his work. He came whenever he could get there and left whenever he needed to. It wasn’t bad because he still finished our fence in 4 days. I would definitely use his services in the future too.
