This happened over a year ago so I hope they have added more people to their staff if they are still too busy to get to you timely.
Description of Work: I bought a deal and they could not come until it had been a month later. When they came, they had gotten held up at other places and did not have time to do my work. It was going to be another month before they could come again and they said they would be happy to refer me for a refund. Because it had been over a month, I had the hardest time getting a refund. They were nice, but I learned a lesson about scheduling.

It didn’t go well. They called me immediately to set up the appointment and I told them I was not quite ready. I call them back when I was ready and they said they would be out a certain date and time. We rearrange our schedule and they did not show and we tried to call them and they said they were here which was not true. We arrange on Saturday and when we contacted them we could not get them. We tried one more time and it was convenient because when I was talking to her I was on my way to my mother in law’s funeral. We schedule and they came out. He did all the electrical wiring so I was not impressed with that at all. We were scheduling our time for them, to come out and do what they were suppose to do. We schedule and they came out. He did all the electrical wiring so I was not impressed with that at all. After I bought this on Angie’s List for around $100 and I saw it on Amazon for $48 so I questioned them about that because it was the same company and they said it did not include the bracket.

The deal was good and scheduling was good. They mounted a TV. I did buy equipment with the service so I did pay extra but I thought the pricing was competitive.

Our initial impression was good, but then it went all downhill, to the point of them standing us up and then lying to Angie's List that services were completed. Major issues with this provider: 1. You cannot speak to a person. They have a text/messaging service. When you call and leave a message you automatically receive a text message. The person (you never know who is texting) can schedule appointments, but they cannot resolve issues. They are not allowed to talk on the phone (they said). 2. We had an appointment scheduled for 6:30pm. They arrived at the house at 4pm when we were not home. Our daughter was home and the provider talked to us on her phone. We said we could be home by 5p, but had expected them at 6:30pm. The provider said he "didn't want to wait around" and just left. We called and called and only got the automated text. The person texting said "I'd be happy to reschedule". We didn't want to reschedule. We wanted them to come when they said they would. I asked to speak to a manager (this was a Monday). The person said a manager could contact us Thursday! Thursday! I texted with them every day and sure enough, no manager was ever available, and no one called us Thursday. No attempt to fix. No apologies. Just someone on the other side of the text saying "I'd be happy to reschedule... for 2 weeks later". There was more frustration than I'm even listing here.. back and forth communication that never went anywhere. No way to speak to a person. No email, only this texting/messaging with a scheduler. I was finally fed up and we asked for a refund. They said they would issue a refund. We hired another provider we were very happy with. In the mean time, I waited for a refund. It never came. I contacted Angie's List who said CineMcKay has no authority to issue a refund, it had to come from Angie's List. So Angie's List went to CineMcKay to investigate it and the CineMcKay had the gall to say they provided the service!!!! They showed a receipt with a forged scribble indicating the TV was installed. OUTRAGEOUS! We showed that we paid another provider to do the work instead. We were furious to get the run-around from CineMcKay, get blown off by a guy that decided to arrive early and then just "didn't feel like waiting around" until our agreed-up appointment time, then we were unable to ever speak to a human being. But they absolutely crossed the line by faking a signature and pretending that services had been rendered. They ought to be ashamed.

Thank you for your review. There are a few facts not mentioned of couse. Like the installer arrived at 5:10 for a 6pm appointment which we notified them the installer was in route there were no issues they said someone was home. When our installers arrived who was home was way under the age of 18. The installers called they were told please wait 10 minutes her husband/boyfriend whatever was on his way. The installers waited until 5:50 at that time they were told go ahead and start work my daughter is there. Its against our policy and most service companies to enter a home with someone who is obviously not 18. A date had to be rescheduled I hate that you are upset. We are a progressive company and do not only rely on speaking on the phone as a customers only means to communicate with us. We have staff available 24/7 to meet all your needs we are available via text, live chat, email, and many other ways. I apologize the owner couldn't get ahold of you looking at our records she tried 4 times voicemail each time. Our owner is not here everyday because she has stage 3 cancer. I will try to find a better way for people to get ahold of her. Funny thing is we have over 4000 clients in the Atlanta area and out of that we have less than a handful of people like this one. If only customers could be rated also!

I contacted CineMcKay on 10/8/14 Wednesday at 3:30 est to ask for prices and schedule an appointment. First off, they could not answer the phone and TEXTED me to either use text or either email. After many texts back and forth with Susan describing what I needed done (not sure why we just couldn't talk on the phone) I got a price of $100.00. I agreed and she said availability Monday 10/13/14 at 6:00 pm. I said that will work and I gave her my address. Susan texted me on Monday "Hi just wanted to confirm our appointment for tomorrow to install your tvs. Please let me know if you need to reschedule". I responded "We scheduled the appointment for today at 6:00". She text back "I show tomorrow and I don't have anyone in your area today". After I copy and pasted her text showing her that the appointment was on Monday, she texts back "ok, I'll cancel it thank you". I text back "Let's reschedule for Wednesday any time". She texted "We have no openings". I responded "Ok, when is your next opening?". She text back Saturday, November 8th at 4 pm". Which is a month away and on a Saturday afternoon. She was obviously just messing with me and was very rude and short. The level of professionalism felt like I was dealing with a teenager. All she wanted to do was text and would not answer the phone. The text messages were very short and rude. I did not feel comfortable with the texts in the first place and glad they did not show up. I probably would have had some inexperienced installers come out if their installation was anything like what I dealt with Susan texting back and forth. Overall experience F.

It ended up being cheaper because the work that needed to be done, they didn't have the tools to do. Holes couldn't be put in the wall. We had to hire an electrician for that because they had to run conduit and have woodworking tools.

I bought this for a projector and screen mounting. As I recall, the installer called me and I was informed the earliest install date was around 3 weeks later. The installer arrived on time, and proceeded to start on the job. He didn't have the particular parts necessary to mount the screen to the ceiling, which is understandable. His initial suggestion to modify my screen by drilling through the plastic on top was a little unnerving. So off to Home Depot we went. He didn't take into account that the screen needed to be hung several inches away from the wall, and after he left I realized that there is a 1.5 inch gap around the entire screen with no picture. I was also disappointed when he drilled into the ceiling without a drop cloth and dropped debris on my brand new carpet. The request for a tip was also a little shocking, but I gave one anyways. Final words he offered were "we'll it's mounted, the rest is up to you". Balancing the projector took a little time on my own.

I had seen their ad on a different site and purchased the deal. I called in to set up the appointment and that is when all my fears and relentlessness was taken care of. I spoke with Faith who was professional however very friendly also. It was as if i called my bff not a business that was great for me. She asked questions about the install and explained the differences in mounts to me so i could make an educated decision. she even told me they sell mounts however she knew 3 places in town and more online i could get my mount at a lesser price what business does that now days? Then James and Kyle came out, James made me feel just as easy as Faith did. He was a blast my 4 year old son wanted to help him with the install he is all into building things. Never once did James ask me to remove him instead he did the complete opposite and engaged him even gave him a tool. This company should be featured on your front page of your magazine. I read some of the other reviews people have left and i find it funny that people leave a review if the littlest thing goes wrong. IMHO you are fools CineMcKay has it together they are family owned which is wonderful and they are so nice and accommodating. The only way you can go wrong is if you do not use this company.

We found out the cable that is behind the TV is a dead line. So, I need an electrician come out. He looked at the other cable outlets and let me know he did not have the equipment to split the wires. I took him to the basement to look at the other cables but he did not have tools for the drywall. He was really nice and very informative. He told me exactly what my husband could do as far as splitting the wires. He did more research for me then my own cable company. He just didn’t have the tools to hide the wires.

Bought the $79 deal for 2 hours of work (a $250 value). They quoted me $380 to install 4 speakers then said they'd take off $79 I spent on the coupon, so is owe them $301. I said it should only be $130 because $380 minus the $250 (the value of the coupon). They said no. Total price is actually $630, then they took off $250 and then another $79 to get to that $301 price. Either way, that's too much to put up 4 speakers.

I didnt use the deal because the deal advised labor, material, and the mount are included. I scheduled an appointment 2 weeks in advance. When the provider showed up for the appointment, I was advised that they didnt have the mount they needed and would need to reschedule. I was later messaged and advised there would also be a 65.00 upcharge for the mount that was needed and that their next available appointment wouldnt be until August 18.

James did explain that to you while he was there and we did offer you the next available installation time. After canceling my appt an hr before because of unforeseen circumstances on their part, they rescheduled for the next day. I was given a window of time when they would arrive and nobody ever showed. I contacted them before my appt to confirm and I didn't get a reply. Never was contacted to cancel my appt either. Very unprofessional and a huge waste of time dealing with this company. Would not recommend!

I called the provider and explained that the TV was to be mounted in my son's house. When he and my son spoke on the phone, they advised they would charge an additional $129 for the mounting. When installer arrived at the house, he advised that the price would instead be an additional $200. I spoke with him while at the house and explained that this was unacceptable and that we did not want them to provide the service. I also called the provider, left a VM that this was unacceptable and that I would be contacting Angie's List for what I felt was bait and switch. No call back received. Sent an email to you but have rec'd no response. Please process refund.

The customer did not have a mount to mount his TV with. We offered to sell him a mount which was $65 and is the only additional cost above the $129.99 he was quoted. He did not wish to purchase the mount from us said he would get his own. We explained when he did contact us back and the price would be $129.99. No contact has been made since the day we were at his home.

He arrived on time and was very professional. He mounted a 26" LED flat screen TV on an exterior wall (in the corner) in a main floor guest bedroom. I paid extra to have the wires hidden (which was done on the opposite interior wall). It looks great and I would definitely use them again.

It didn't go so great. The light broke the day after the guy left. She said he would come back out. I just haven't been able to connect with her to have that done. The followup was good. She's been in contact. The tv was hung in the wrong spot but that's my fault, not his. I told him where to hang it. I've got to have him back out to rehang it again. Overall, I think they did a good job. I think they were reasonably priced.
Description of Work: I used CineMcKay. I had a light fixture in the bedroom fixed. It had fallen out of the ceiling and had to be reinstalled. I also had my tv rehung.
