King Green

DO NOT USE KING GREEN. I hired them primarily for week control. All they did was lightly fertilizer and grow weeds in my yard. Every winter I would complain: every winter my weed problem multiplied; poana, henbit, and bittercress. I asked for a supervisor to inspect my yard; never got a response. After I pulled the weeds and sprayed my yard, apparently they came by and saw no problems (with my work). After I fired them, they threatened legal action, then took full payment for services that were absolutely horrible. I was a long - time customer, but I recommend DO NOT USE KING GREEN.

I used King Green many years ago and they did a great job. Because they left the area for several years, I switched to a competitor. They weren't nearly as good as King Green. I started taking care of my own applications by purchasing my products from a major store. My yard never looked as good as it did when I had King Green. Finally, King Green returned to the area and I signed up for them to take care of my lawn, trees and shrubs. Wow, everything is so beautiful. My yard hasn't looked this good in twenty-four years. From the manager, down to every employee, everyone is kind, professional, knowledgable and simply amazing. I love this company!

Used King Green with no problems for a year or more. This spring, during aeration and overseeding, the service negligently damaged my lawn by dumping enough fertilizer to badly burn a portion of it. I now have to patch that area. King Green did recognize their mistake, and they didn't charge me for the service in question. Still, I cannot overlook the failure of a lawn treatment provider to do the one thing I hired them for: to keep my lawn alive and not dead. Problems arise and errors happen, but this is such a basic and fundamental matter for a company like this, I'd submit that my experience casts substantial doubt on King Green as a trustworthy provider.

They are very helpful, and very nice. I like them. I asked them how to get rid of crab grass, but it wasn't crab grass. They came out in May and sprayed for weeds. It was Dallas grass, and would take some time.

So far so good. I had a service previously and I had them for several years. Then they really slacked off this last year, so I hired King Green. They had really good review on Angie's List. They weren't the lowest quote but they where in the neighborhood. I don't mind paying a little more than what I was paying before as long as I am getting what I pay for. I really like that they offer a military and veteran discount which really helps. Not too many other companies offer that. They call before they come, they answer any questions. They send the same technician every time which I really like because they get to know your lawn. Whenever they come out they give me a heads up on what is going to be done and any necessary instructions.

WOW! When I called, I was told that King Green doesn't lay sod, just provides lawn care. I asked if there was someone they might recommend, and Olivia checked with the owner of King Green, who recommended someone and said they'd pass my name, phone and address on to him. Three or four hours later, Olivia called me back to say that they had learned that their first recommendation doesn't service my area so she gave me the name of a second business to help me! Talk about going above and beyond! If this is an indication of their customer service, you know who I'll be calling for lawn care once my new sod is laid!

I pay a year upfront so I get a 5% discount. I think it is about 800 bucks for a year. They are punctual. They respond, if I have an issue, quickly and I think their price is fair.

Arrived on time and each subsequent time for scheduled service.

This company has been very reliable thus far. Cain was my service provider and he was honest in his initial assessment of my lawn. He since has been great with spraying my lawn. I have a fence which only locks from the inside, so he always calls me the day before he wants to come so I can be home to let him through the fence. The customer service folks when you call are very helpful and polite. I have only had a few spray treatments, so I cannot yet comment on the whether the treatments are helping my lawn.

I have used King Green for several years and have been very satisfied with their services. I have used four or five different lawn service companies over the last twenty five years and have been the most satisfied with King Green. They are responsive, professional and do a good job.

My yard & my neighbors (who also uses King Green) are the healthiest & greenest on the street! The second thing I like about them is that they are family owned.

They usually do 7 applications so if you do the 7 applications, I think that’s expensive for that type of service judging by the yard size I have. They are fine. I think that’s the matching price for the service.

r,It went well, he was in and gone before I noticed it. To do a proper review let me state that I have used King Green for many years now. Whenever I call, they are courteous, treat me with respect and as a valued customer. Most companies, so does King Green, that if the treatment they did needs more then they come out and redo at no charge. But with King Green, I have never needed to call them back. I have used them for lawn maintenance (fertilize weed prevention etc), fire ants, top dressing and tree/shrub maintenance and they have been great. Just A++.

Just wanted to get the information out on these guys. Been a customer since Spring 2012. Moved from "up north" and wasn't used to have to have/ or need a service. They have been fantastic. Always available if I have any questions. I have had issues with some weeds (sedge grass), called and have had quick and courteous service. If I have anything "negative" to say it would be that they have not offered additional service options for me due to additional landscaping I have installed.

I am very happy with their service. Whenever I see any problem areas they come right out and handle it. I have recommended them many times in the past and am happy to do so here.

They always call ahead to let us know they are coming to do the work. If there is anything that may deter them, they call to let us know. Their technicians are very professional. We have been using them for about 3 years and are very pleased.

The worst part about it is I've been using them for years and never had any problem, and I had a grass that was like amazing year after year after year, and something happened to my grass. I have Mercedes grass. They did something to my grass. I called them and first they said it was because it didn't get enough hot weather and it was this and that which is a bunch of bull hockey. Anyway, I said, "Fine, I'll wait." Of course it looks a bit better than it did because this is a squared grass and it takes a while to really, but it doesn't look anything like it should. I mean, I had the best grass in the whole neighborhood and now I don't. It's like something burnt it up. I did everything I could to make it kind of come back to life and I'm telling you they did something to my yard. I know they did. I'm absolutely positive they did something. And they came and they said, "We didn't do anything." And I said, "That's bull hockey." And they came, and we had a vegetable garden out there, and I didn't know that they were coming in and they sprayed all their herbicides and pesticides out there and my garden is right there. You think they should have said, "Hey ma'am, we're spraying the yard." You can't spray right next to something like getting on vegetables. And this is a pretty toxic stuff that they used for the grass, granted I could eat it. So, they didn't notify me or even call me or anything about any kind of concern of it. When I called them it was just like, "You're crazy." And, I've been using them for like three years. I bought a special grass that's really good for shaded and sun. And, half of my thing is sun and I have some at the part which kind of shaded that hasn't grown is good as the sun part which is okay. It's still there, which is a Mercedes grass. I think it's not called Mercedes, but it's just a really special, extremely expensive grass. But, the other part was fine, the part that get sun, gets some like a half a day. And then he is trying, "Oh, because you have shade." So, the entire area, the part that get shade and doesn't get shade has the same problem. "But it's because of the area that had the shade." What? He shouldn't say them. There's no logic there. It was like a circle conversation. It was evident he was not going to admit that he's done anything wrong, so it's my problem. Something obviously just changed to my grass. I've even had people look at my grass knew like something's wrong there. That's a really good grass. This shouldn't happen. I can even tell you how much this yard costs me. And, last year, it was just amazing how gorgeous this kind of grass is. That was two years then, last year. So you'd thought like it was brand new or something. It's just beautiful. And now, no. And he's trying to say, "Oh it's because of the sun and shade". Well, if that's the case why did it, first of all start (00:11:06 inaudible) seemed like we had some extreme drought here. Secondly, why is it the same, all over the grass even where the sun is if that's his logic. Why is that? I'm extremely unhappy. I'm hoping it will maybe after season or two get back. I don't know. It's just something it's kind of overwhelming, so I've been trying to not deal with it actually, because I was so frustrated with it. Now, my grass is the ugliest on here. I would not use them again. They're very slow to react. I called them and I complained and I think somebody called me and just asked me, like the corporate office, if I was happy, and I said, "No." Then, the local guy called me said he was going to come by and look at the yard and then he never called me to say anything about. I said, "Well, I called this week", and he said, "Yeah they came by." I said, "And?" "There's nothing wrong with your yard", so to speak is what he said in summary of the conversation. I spent, I don't know how much, a year with these people. I don't know what they did. The price is just fair. Generally when they were servicing me, they were punctual until I had a problem.

I request they call before they come which they always do and if I need them to reschedule they happily do so. I use them through my regular lawn mowing services. They do not leave information as to what application has been applied which would be nice to know and are not consistent in leaving a sign in the yard to know that they have been there.

King green did a wonderful job.They were always prompt and very thorough.Our lawn looked great...

They increased their price over 10% and did not let me know ahead of time. I felt this is unprofessional. They called to tell me they were going to come the next day. If I am out of town or I get the message they still come to complete the service. Once they complete the service, they leave a flag in my yard which makes me feel that I everyone knows I'm gone. I feel that they should call more than one day in advance.

We have lived in our home for nearly two years. When we first arrived, the lawn was somewhat neglected and not doing very well. We hired King Green to start treatments, and within a couple of months, it was looking great! The persistent weeds faded away, and the lawn became thicker, greener, and healthier. My husband's only complaint is that it's so healthy that it grows too fast! We initially thought we would only use the service for a year to get the lawn established, but they do such a great job that we've renewed for another year. In addition to the success of their service, their staff is very professional. They always call to let us know when they are coming, and if the day has to change due to weather or other problems, they always call to inform us of the change. They leave detailed information on our front door when they've come, and the office staff is easy to work with.

They serviced our lawn for about 3 - 4 treatments. At one point, we were convinced they were fertilizing our weeds. To make matters worse, when I called they would tell me that they couldn't fit me in until 10 days from then. This left us literally pulling weeds by hand in the yard to keep the HOA from sending a fine. Builder's grade sod isn't the best - we know that. However, two doors down had their sod put in on the exact same day. They went with a different provider and never had any problems.

Asked if I was an existing customer and when said no, she said they couldn't do this for me unless I was a customer. This made no sense so I asked would I not be a customer if you did this work? She said no, you have to be on a contract. So you don't want to have an open business plan, help people and make money?
