My vocal process granuloma which did not get better with Nexium that Dr. Garlich prescribed for the reflux. Dr Garlich then performed two surgeries and after each the granuloma grew back immediately because of the acid reflux which I now know. He referred me to another physician who explained that VP Granuloma's are basically wounds from acid reflux which are just trying to heal. The new physician, Dr. Johns, prescribed Zantac to take before bed, voice therapy, and showed me websites which explained his treatment. How clear and simple he was. I googled and found more websites which described this exact approach so apparently Dr. Garlich did not take two minutes to research my situation. I wish I had researched it myself because I would have understood the problem, asked more questions and avoided two unnecessary surgeries and thousands of dollars in medical expense. When I asked for a refund of my coinsurance Dr. Garlich argued with me and specifically asked me how voice therapy would even help. I don't think he has any familiarity with that adjunct profession even those he is a throat doctor. Additionally, after one surgery I burned two hours of my day so that he could collect his fee and tell me in person in 30 seconds that my biopsy was not cancerous.

. Overall was a good experience. Nice office, friendly staff, good doctor. See my update for what turned into a horrible situation that never should have happened.
