They never showed up to do the work. Kept promising, after several calls to them. So don't believe it when they say they will come. This went on for 2 months. Finally had to get someone else.
Description of Work: Needed dead standing tree taken down. Was quoted a price.

As described above, great! Every time.
Description of Work: I have had Chris Jones Tree Service come to my yard now multiple times. To take out dying trees, to prune the trees in my front yard, and to cut up toppled trees twice. Each time they were particularly responsive, thorough, courteous and worked with integrity. I especially commend George, who epitomizes concern for the customer and attention to detail. He goes beyond the stated parameters for no extra charge when he thinks it is the right thing to do. I won't hire anybody else (and I am a Forsyth County Master Gardener. We're picky! :) )

Horrible! The chips cover the entire backyard and we cannot sod or landscape with the mess. The company ignores our calls and emails. Do not do business with these people. They are charming and gung-ho when quoting the work but they do not do what they say they will do.
Description of Work: Our quote called for 10 trees being removed from the backyard including the grinding of stumps. Wood chips were to be blown inconspicuously into the ivy in the woods in back. Once the trees were taken down the stumps were not ground but covered up with the leftover wood chips. The scattered chips cover the entire backyard and range from 8" to 30" deep! We called and told them to come back and grind the stumps. They came back and ground a few but not all. They have left the wood chips and said they're done.

We were impressed with how the crew worked very slowly, carefully and safely. They removed the large branches first, tying each one and lowering it carefully to the ground where it was put through a chipper. We got to keep as much of the resulting wood chips as we wanted and they put the piles right were we asked. The large trunks, one nearly three feet in diameter, were taken down in 2 ft high cylinders rather than letting them fall. It took them two days to take down the two largest trees and another half day to remove the smaller hickory and the dogwood. The hickories were all live, healthy trees but just located too close to our house. This made it somewhat safer for the crew member who had to climb to the upper parts of the tree. We noticed that he was belayed from above as well as having two belts around the tree for climbing past branches required unstrapping the belts one a time. I took pictures and videos of the process and have uploaded them to an unlisted YouTube which can be seen at http://youtu.be/Zf2eFpBg7O4 . After the job was complete, they cleaned up the work area with rakes and blowers leaving everything very tidy. They even managed to leave a small hemlock tree undamaged that was located only inches from the biggest hickory.
Description of Work: Chris Jones and his crew took down three tall hickory trees and one dead dogwood for us. The trees were all over 70 feet tall and one was over 120 feet tall.
