I scheduled My Amazing Maid for a move-out cleaning service in a 4-bedroom rental house in Ellerslie, GA. During the preliminary walk-through, Tamara showed a bit of an attitude and the quote came back fairly high, but she had been recommended by a friend so I moved forward. Right at the time of the move I had to travel out of state for an unexpected funeral and asked Tamara for a bit of consideration. She pushed the cleaning date back by a couple days which was very helpful, but the accommodation ended there. I had asked the movers not to pack a delicate balsa wood model airplane so it wouldn't be damaged. I'd planned to transport it myself, but being out of town, it was one of a handful of items that remained in the house on cleaning day. When I returned from the funeral, Tamara informed me that it had been thrown away. I'd also left my wife's brand new road bike in the house for the same reason. Thankfully it was still there, but Tamara admitted to me that her crew very nearly took it for themselves. Lastly, the movers missed 2 drawers in the kitchen containing our wedding silverware and other utensils. When we unpacked in our new house and noticed the silverware was missing, we contacted Tamara who informed us that the cleaning crew took it all home with them. They did manage to return the silverware, but anything that we didn't specifically ask for was never returned. One by one, we noticed many other seldom-used utensils were still missing... The pizza cutter, the garlic press, the ice cream scoop, on and on over the coming weeks and months. An entire drawer of very nice kitchenware worth a couple hundred dollars was just gone. Tamara offered no apology. In fact she seemed inconvenience by having to return the silverware and went out of her way to defend her crew, stating it was perfectly normal for them to take what's left behind. We're a military family. We move often and have worked with many different cleaners. No other company we've used would even consider taking valuables without at least contacting the owner.

This review really surprises me - especially since this cleaning was done almost 3 years ago and it is just being reviewed now. The price quoted was based on the condition of the house. The actual cleaning time took even longer but since this was a referral we capped the charges at the estimated price. When the estimate was done, the customer requested that after the movers left we were to clean everything else out. We did just as we were told - just like we have done on many, many move out cleans just like this one. The customer never mentioned the balsa wood plane nor the bike so this is the first I have heard of those. He did call to ask about the drawer of silverware and the cleaners had saved this since it looked valuable. When he called about it, we told him that we had saved it and we got it back to him. We were hired to do a move out clean and to dispose of any items left in the house so that the customer could pass his move out inspection. Based on the customer's review it sounds like he had the movers leave a few items but neglected to tell us about them. I'm sorry that the customer lost items that were obviously important to him. Unfortunately, the customer neglected to communicate that certain items should be saved and they were thrown away as instructed.

We interviewed multiple companies before selecting My Amazing Maid. The price for the service was about the same across all services (around $150/visit for twice monthly service in a home around 3400 sq ft). Ultimately, the presentation is what sold me on My Amazing Maid. When I received my quote from Ms. Ard, I was walked through a full checklist of the services they perform. I was also informed about their training programs and how their organization works to educate and empower their team members to grow. She explained that the cleaning uses a methodology to ensure that all rooms are cleaned from top to bottom. The first time cleaning was very good and the weekly cleanings are going well. They clean our home as a team of 3 (one supervisor and 2 team members). I really like this approach as the cleaning happens quickly and quality checks are done during the cleaning visit to make sure that My Amazing Maid standards are met. The ladies who clean our home are friendly, professional, on time and efficient. Not only was My Amazing Maid prompt to respond to my inquiries about services and receiving a quote, they called me to get feedback after my first visit and make sure we were happy!

We love My Amazing Maid. They are always right on time and are extremely friendly and professional. They do a wonderful job cleaning our home. The owner is always extremely friendly and accommodating if I need to change the day of my scheduled appointment. I always highly recommend My Amazing Maid.

The owner of My Amazing Maid (Columbus, GA) met with me in my home a week prior to cleaning to discuss pricing, and see a layout of my home. She was very friendly and told me all about how she does background checks and tries to consistantly schedule the same people to clean your home. She informed me that an initial "Deep Cleaning" service must be done first to establish a base line for a clean home, and then weekly or bi-weekly cleanings could be scheduled after this. Bi-weekly cleanings are more expensive than weekly cleanings because it adds "significant more time" to the amount of cleaning needed to be done. I can see how this applies if you have a crazy house party or something similar in nature, but to wipe a counter top requires the same amount of time whether its fairly clean or fairly dirty. THIS WAS THE FIRST INDICATOR OF TROUBLE. I agreed to pay a whopping $275.00 (yes, near $300.00) to clean roughly 1600 Square Feet. The ownder showed me a list of everything that would be covered in this deep clean. It was a rediculously high amount, but I agreed to pay because she employed local house keepers who were solid professionals. I was told the deep cleanings would be an all-day affair, and the weekly cleanings would be significantly quicker. I was quoted $85/week to clean 1600 Square Feet. I received a notification that two house keepers would be cleaning my house on October 9th, 2014, and they would be there around 12:30-1:30 and would be leaving around 5PM (the time I come home). I got home early from work at 2:30PM and was greated by two very nice and friendly house keepers. They left at approximately 3:30pm or 3:45pm. I do no know what time they arrived, I only know I was told they would come at around 12:30-1:30pm. The house smelled great. I told them I would sit on the couch and watch TV while they finished to avoid getting in their way. At 3:45PM, the house keeper notified me they were done with their cleaning. I was asked by one of the house keepers If I wanted to double check their work...I declined (BIG MISTAKE I AM PAYING FOR NOW). By the way the owner described the work, I didnt see a need. After they left the house, I did a small check-up on things I told the owner were important to us (blinds, window sills, dusting). All of these things were no cleaned at all. I will list some problems that I can remember off the top of my head... PROBLEM AREAS - spider webs on the chandalier above the dining room table - loads of dust on most furniture tops and bed siding - some baseboards werent touched - they mopped and swept around shoes and bags on the ground instead of moving items - picture tops were not dusted - the rug in the living room was not moved, only mopped and swept around. When I picked it up, there was a huge rectangle of dirt on the ground that matched the shape of the rug - blinds not cleaned - window sills not cleaned - air vents not cleaned - the list goes on and on and on... I thought, "If they call this a deep cleaning, what the heck are they going to do on normal cleanings?" I called the owner that night to let her know how disappointed we were that we paid almost $300.00 for a deep cleaning that would take "all day", and in reality, it took anywhere from 2-3 and a half hours (depending on if they showed up at 12:30pm or 1:30pm). At the time, the owner could not tell me when the house keepers arrived to my house. She assured me she could make it right by sending them back out there to fix things that were wrong. I told her it would just be awkward to have those same workers in the home making them fix all of their mistakes, and declined. I again declined to have different people come, as I already saw the quality of work that is done by this company. She charged me the full $275.00 the next day. BUYER BEWARE!!! Please, read this review before purchasing any services from this over-priced, under-fulfilled company. Do not let her justification of doing backgroundf checks and highering nice, local personnel lure you into believing that your expensive payments will go towards a good house cleaning.

I am disappointed in this review. We pride ourselves on great getting great feedback from our customers (which we solicit after each cleaning) and 99% of our reviews come back with perfect scores. The ones that aren’t perfect are addressed and while most are usually very minor, we are always happy to come back out to the house and promptly fix any deficiencies. I rarely have a customer decline the offer for us to return and correct any of their concerns. This customer refused this offer. Our policy is to do an in-home review with the customer prior to cleaning, just as we did in this instance. This allows us to not only see the house but to assess the customer’s needs. This customer has 2 large dogs and the house was in desperate need of cleaning. We provided the customer with a fixed price to do the initial deep clean and the customer booked the cleaning appointment based on that price, which is what he was charged. Our maids ended up spending almost 8 hours cleaning this customer’s home. For a 1,600 square foot home that is a lot of cleaning time, even for a deep clean. But the condition of the customer’s home required this much work. When we were finished, the home could be cleaned on a regular basis in less than 2 ½ hours per week – which would have cost the customer a very reasonable $85. We track our housecleaner’s time electronically and the cleaning times are made part of the customer’s cleaning profile. This way we can always go back and review cleaning times if we have questions in the future. As the customer stated, he called me after hours to discuss the cleaning and the amount of time the housecleaners were in the home. I do not carry customer profiles home at night so I was unable to answer his question until the next day. For the record, we were at the home almost 8 hours – just as estimated. We prefer that customers inspect our work before we leave so that we can touch up any spots prior to leaving. We asked this customer to inspect our work, and unfortunately it appears that he didn’t want to take the time to do that before we left. A post-cleaning inspection is even more important in a house such as this that requires extra work as the dust/pet dander flies up when dusted and it eventually settles somewhere else. It is not uncommon for us to dust a spot 3 or 4 times before declaring it clean, and yet still have some dust later settle. Apparently, that is what happened on this clean but the customer chose not to allow us to come back (free of charge) and instead chose to complain publicly about it. Interestingly, at the end of my last conversation with the customer, he said that he was fine to pay the charge for the cleaning. He did not ask for a refund nor did he ask for a discount. I wish the customer would have allowed us to come back to the house and touch up the minor issues that he had. Our goal is for every customer to be happy, no matter the amount of work that we have to put in, especially on an initial cleaning. This means that if it takes us longer to clean than we have estimated, then we stay as long as it takes or even come back if needed. Unfortunately, there are a few customers that do not allow us to do what it would take to make them happy.

They completely live up to their name. They are amazing! We have used other cleaning services and none compare. So professional while so kind and considerate of our desires and needs. Loved coming in to our home being the cleanest its been since we moved in almost 3 years ago. Truly a deep cleaning and no details missed.

The housekeeper was very nice but the owner seemed very judgmental of me even though I had explained the situation before she arrived. She made a couple of condescending comments about the condition about the floor and the dusty blinds. She said this was an unhealthy way to live but it was because of the situation that I called her company for help. She quoted me a rate of $40 an hour. I seemed a bit expensive but I needed my home cleaned up and restored to its normal clean condition. The housekeeper was very nice and she stayed until the work was done. However the owner called the housekeeper cell several times while she was cleaning to talk about my situation but she didn’t asked to speak with me even once or call me to see if I was happy with everything and I am the pay customer. The owner had instructed the housekeeper to use my mop on the floor instead of their own which was pretty insulting. Everything went well with the housekeeper and I gave her a check made out to the company. After that day the owner ignored an email I sent saying I couldn’t find my mop and I asked in a nice way if she could check with the housekeeper and ask her where she put the mop. I explained due to my vision problems it’s hard to find things if they aren’t exactly where I keep them. It’s been almost a week and she hasn’t deposited my check yet. I emailed her this morning about my check not being deposited and I like them to be deposited in a timely manner and she ignored that email too.
Description of Work: I contacted the provider to explain to her I had been sick with bronchitis for several and weeks and was unable to do my normal house cleaning. Also I had just taught my dog how to use a litter box and she had kicked litter all over the place and I didn’t have the proper type of vacuum to clean it up. I also explained to her that I am visually impaired so I couldn’t see all of the litter and I tried to sweep of some of it but there was still litter all over the place. I asked if she could come right away to give me a price and she brought one of her housekeepers with her.
