The Pool Dude

Went well.

A confirmed appointment was set for July 9th. No one showed or called. A call placed by me was unreturned. I am not sure how they got so many A ratings.

The husband and wife team were very friendly and the service was done well and in a timely manner. However, I was surprised to be charged an additional $65.00 service fee for no work done on the first visit that was scheduled to replace my hoses.

First, we bought our spa on-line and later discovered that it was made in China, not just the tub, but all the motors, too. (Don't do this). We had not used the hot tub in two (2) years. We tried to replace the heater by ourselves, couldn't get it to go past 82 degrees and had leaks all over the place. This is the only person who would tackle the job. We first contacted him in June and he came out and looked over the job and worked on some of the leaks. Then he was on vacation for two (2) weeks, we only found this out by leaving a message on his answer machine. When he came out the next time, he took apart one of the pumps and that's where the troubles started. the way it was made, he tried to find parts and tried them, but the motor would not line up so he had to order a new motor to replace that one. He finally came back after the motor came in and he installed it, fixed some leaks and filled the tub. He discovered more leaks, so he came back a few days later and finished the job. Our hot tub/spa works wonderful now. Really, the main complaint with this vendor is lack of communication.

Our hot tub heater was not working properly - no matter what temperature it was set to, the temperature would go to 105 degrees and stay there. Scot came and figured out the problem. It turned out to be an easy fix and he only charged me for a service call. He and his partner were very nice and professional and we will definitely use them again. In fact, we may switch to him to service our pool.

Left a bill. But I still have no pool working. He only claimed to fix the mechanics. I needed the pool cleaned, which has not happened yet. That is not his fault except that the phone number of the two people he left for cleaning turned out to be of no help. We have had no pool all summer.

He did a great job! Would recommend him to anyone. Scott is the type of person that you trust around your home.

My gas pool heater would not stay lit, so the pool would not heat. When he came out, all he did was blame me for it, even though, at the time, I had only lived in the house a month. He said we were not taking care of it and maintaining the pool as we should. He made one more visit a few months later, and blamed me again for the pool heater not working, even though I paid him almost $1700 to fix it. It's still not working, and I've got to find someone else to fix it.

We have used the Pool Dude twice and he is reliable, responsible and gets the problem solved. I will use him again if needed.

Our hot tub stopped again and AGAIN, about a month after being serviced by a different provider (who I was unable to reach). I was smarter this time and found 'The Pool Dude' on Angie's List. He immediately diagnosed the problem and did an overall check. A part had to be ordered, yet he managed to get it and return ahead of schedule. He gave very helpful information, and though he was too professional to slam the previous service, he did advise that the supposedly brand new part that needed to be replace, looked more like a refurbished part. If I have any additional problems, I will only call The Pool Dude!

If I have any problems then I call them and he is right here. He is like family. I would swear by him on my family's grave. I know a lot of people that use him so he has a very good reputation.

The overall experience went very well. Scott is very knowledgeable. I had already been online to price pumps and he was right on the money. The the total of my bill was expected except that if I would have used the dealer, they would have charged me double of what Scott charged! I would highly recommend THE POOL DUDE!

After replacing the capacitor, he stayed around awhile to make sure it was the only problem, and, while waiting, was kind enough to give me some needed advice about how best to operate the spa. His service was prompt and his charges were fair. I would definitely call him again.

Our entire experience was excellent!! The Pool Dude was here early to install our heater, and had worked us in his heavy schedule so we would have a heated pool for Memorial Day Week End. His work was exceptional, and he is one of the nicest professionals we have ever met. His prices are exactly as he stated..$60/hr plus a $65 Service Call. We also required a new chlorine feeder which he had in stock on his truck for immediate installation. He carried off our old heavy non-working heater saving us an additional trash pickup fee. This morning our pool water temperature is perfect and we will begin today to enjoy a summer of fun and relaxation in our pool. All thanks to The Pool Dude! We definitely want to make certain we are on his schedule this fall for winterizing our pool and heater.

Called for an appointment, he was very busy and set service time for three weeks later. Came out while I was at work, found the problem, replaced the non-working pump and left the bill. Quick and easy.

He was awesome! He took a lot of time to fix what was needed, and he charged appropriately, 60 dollars per hour plus parts.

Great job, reasonable price for how much work was done

Great. I now have a spa repairman to call with any future problems. Although he is in Georgia he comes to Tennessee often and does not charge travel time.
