Country Estates Landscapes

While driving down the road, I saw their landscape company truck at a gas station. I was talking to a family member on the phone (he was driving in front of me). I told him to pull in and get some gas and I would talk to the people in the truck. My family member pulled into the pump and when I pulled up to the landscape truck the man driving rolled down his window and was cursing my family. Apparently, my family member "cut him off at the pump" when the reality was it appeared that the landscape truck was was pulling around another truck- not into a gas pump. I rolled down my window with the intention of speaking to the guy about landscaping but when I realized what was happening, I apologized for the misunderstanding, explained my family was low on gas, and just escaped Irma. The response was "I don't give a "F*** why he's here. He's a D*** and I'm going to tell him!" I apologized again but the guy kept pulling up to pick a fight with my family (my family at the pump had no clue this was going on as they really thought I was pulling up to talk to the guy about landscaping). The guy told me to "Move the F*** along!" I told him that he "didn't have to be an A**. I was apologizing and was trying to reach to see if I could hire them" He said he didn't want my apology and that I was a "C***"" and used some words that I will not repeat. This company is clearly unprofessional, disgusting, and vulgar. The disgusting things that were said not only to me as a woman but trying to pick a fight with people that virtually lost everything ( I told the driver this) is despicable. There were two other men in the truck and no-one said anything to the driver. I would NEVER hire this company. If this is how they advertise their company (with fully wrapped vehicles)- NO THANK YOU! My husband called the company but did not receive a call back. If the driver is not the owner of the company, he should be fired.

Instead of building a retainer wall, he just laid the blocks on top of each other with no fasteners, pins, or adhesive of any kind despite my insistence that it was necessary for support (and for local codes). The wall was laid unevenly with parts jutting out, non-level, wasn't back-filled properly, and has started to settle and pull apart within the last month. I was out of town as he finished work (was home when he started) and am sad to say that I foolishly paid him the full $2,200.00 as the photos I was sent of the work looked appealing. However, I immediately noticed the issues once I got home and contacted him. He did meet on site and agreed his crew did not complete the work correctly, but said he couldn't come back for two weeks to fix it even though he had all of the money! Despite a written agreement that he would fix these issues and multiple recorded phone calls in which he recognized the issues and agreed on the course of action necessary, he has been a no show at 3 different dates to complete the work over the last 45 days and is now ignoring my calls and texts (I can see he reads them on the iPhone). Just a word of warning to all, and that no matter how good a photo looks and no matter how trusted the source of the referral, NEVER pay for any services until fully satisfied. I believe I will now have to take him to small claims to get my money back as well as for the cost of having someone else redo the work correctly.

There are no words to describe how badly. They laid sod that had other grasses mixed in, was bad and dying, didn't level the yard before laying it. Unable to trim or mow the grass. Left strips several feet wide while mowing, used chemicals on grass that killed shrubs and plants, never came on time and ignored requests to fix their repeated damage to the yard. They destroyed a 15-yr old hedge/row of Berkman Arbovitae by cutting all greenery away from the trunk (evergreens of this variety do not regenerate from the trunk). We spent over $4000 with them and are now having to redo everything they did, cost over $5000 to replace and fix the damage they did. Worst experience we've ever had with a contractor of any type!!! Stay away from them!!!
