Installation went very well. Marcus is very professional and hardworking with excellent communication. It took about 3 days (in a row) for demolition, preparation and installation of the new shower with a couple hour follow up visit on day 4 to finish grouting the floor and accent tile. The only minor issue was that the corner bench was installed 2 inches lower than requested...not a big deal though since the height installed was actually the standard height. Other than that, everything was done extremely well. The attention to detail was amazing! Naturally, our shower walls are not perfectly square. Marcus and team carried the marble slabs up and down the stairs multiple times (wet saw was outside) in order to get the cuts perfect. The result is amazing! We have had several projects done to our house over the past couple of years and this one was by far the most successful. The overall cost was probably about 20% higher than some other quotes we got for generic tile/generic shower pan. The extra cost has a much better return on investment alone and was well worth the small additional cost for the Schluter shower system (peace of mind/warranty) and the look, quality and low maintenance of the solid marble. Plus, cleaning the shower has never been easier. Just a quick spray every once in a while (no scrubbing required) to remove soap scum...no mold! 5 stars for sure, I highly recommend!

Marcus of Unique Surface Solutions did an excellent job. He took extra care to match up the designs at the few seams that were necessary so that it was not obvious. He will probably take longer than some other installers, but will be sure that it is done right and looks good and wants the client to be happy.
