Description of Work: They replaced a damper on a chimney, & cleaned the chimney. |They removed all the lint from the dryer vent. |The guys answered all my questions, were efficient with their time, cleaned everything afterwards. |The office staff were polite & helpful & called to confirm appointments & worked with my schedule.

Description of Work: Mechanical fireplace repair appears not to be their specialty. I paid $200 o March 13 - as a down payment for a part. I have had two visits. As of May 3, my Fireplace is still not fixed. They apologize every week for the delay and explain that the technician who does these repairs has another full time job. That does not get my fireplace fixed. The company remains in communication with me, but it seems that fixing gas valves is not their forte. They do seem to be the only "game" in town for the Senoia area.

We have a house built in 1904, they did a great job rebuilding our fireplaces to code to make them working fireplaces again! We have 4 more upstairs that we will have them come back to finish.

Description of Work: The damper on my pre-fab Majestic fireplace broke. I had 4 other chimney companies look at the problem. None had any viable solutions until I had JH Kinard come out. Within 10 minutes, Andy Kalina gave me the solution of installing a new type of top damper and viola`, my problem was solved. installation was just a few days later. Not only is my fireplace operational, my den is definitely warmer than before the damper broke. The installation itself was done quickly, no mess. I am very satisfied with everything.

Description of Work: Cleaned chimney. I was not home at the time but my husband was and all went well. My only complaint was that approximately two weeks later, the price was 135.00. Even so, we have enjoyed having a fire this winter.

Description of Work: Had them inspect a chimney in our new home. Two men came and quickly inspected the chimney (and would have cleaned it had we needed it). They were quick and very professional.

Description of Work: They inspected our fireplace and replaced a rusted out pin in our flue. They were prompt and very nice and personable. I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Contract was to clean 2 chimneys, do a cosmetic seal on both fireboxes, conversion of main level fireplace from wood to natural gas, and install gas logs. They initially drilled main floor fireplace in wrong position leaving the gas line visible in front of firebox and in process of running gas line compromised floor structure by removing part of header in front of fireplace. They did cosmetic seals and hurriedly cleaned both chimneys. Advised them of my dissatisfaction and was not happy with their response. I withheld payment until I could contact inspection office. Contacted building inspection office who advised they should have obtained a permit for running the gas line and put a stop work order in place. Inspection office required J.H. Kinard to use licensed subcontractors to install a gas line and repair structural damage. On 4/08/2014 J.H. Kinard returned along with subcontractors and required permit to complete job. J.H. Kinard employees drilled the firebox in much better location and the subs ran the gas line and repaired floor structure. It took the structural contractor entire to day to repair floor damage. We were pleased with the framers work and attention to detail as well as the HVAC gentleman who installed the new gas line. On 4/11/2014 inspection office approved both the gas line and structural repair. On 4/16/2014 J.H. Kinard returned to install logs and complete work. They initially brought wrong set of logs and returned that afternoon with correct set and completed work. Payment was made in full.
