Bell's Complete Landscaping

Description of Work: I had used this company in 2008 to put decorative curbing around the flower beds in my front yard. At that time the company was prompt and the work was excellent. I had my patio enlarged a few years ago and decided that I wanted to have a flower bed around the patio and I had one tilled and planted. I decided that I wanted the decorative curbing around that flower bed as well and I called Bells Complete Landscaping again. The son Michael came out on 6/9/2012 and the installation date was set for 6/30/2012. The 30th came and no one called or showed up. I spent and entire day waiting. I had to call the son's answering machine several times, call the father who actually did the work as well as the wife over a period of 3 weeks. I had to cajole, threaten, insult and everything else I could think of before I got any response from this company. I got a lot of promises from them but they never followed through. Only when i threatened to go to small claims court did they show up to get the work done. I had to pay a $100.00 deposit at the time I placed the contract. To make matters worse I recommended them to my neighbor who hired them and gave them a $250.00 deposit and 8 weeks have gone by and they still have not done the work. She too has had to call them multiple times and they keep making promises to come and get the work done and then never show. They promised her that they would be there today and it is after 6 pm on a Saturday and they still have not come. She is going to see her attorney and take action against them on Monday morning. Please put these people on your list of worst businesses. When they finally come and do the work it is good but the problem is getting them to honor their committments in a timely manner.
