 + 0 moreI was impressed with Robert's ingenuity and approach to the job. The room turned out better than I expected. He came in with better ideas than other contractor s. He took the window and door from the existing exterior wall, shifted them to the new room exterior wall and made shelving for pictures on the inside of the old window opening. He also had the hvac contractor tie into the existing ductwork which resulted in a better and cheaper solution than other options. He handled this job like it was his own personal residence. I would use Robert's services again and recommend him for your home additions/improvements.

 + 1 moreI was impressed with Robert?s fast thinking, creative solutions to challenges that came up, and his ?I can fix that? attitude. Robert has a wonderful crew that made the building process move smoothly and efficiently. From the framers to the electrician to the stucco guys to his everyday crew, he had top quality people working for him. I felt like my house was safe with his workers around even when I wasn?t. Each person was friendly, respectful, and appropriate in their behavior and words. I was very pleased with the finished remodeling project! I?m grateful for Robert's knowledge and expertise in giving us such a great room that we enjoy every day. We're all incredibly thankful for the extra space in our cramped townhome, and for the support we received from RJS Alchemy in making our dreams turn into reality.
Description of Work: Robert Stack answered my ad for a room addition over the garage in my townhome. While I had a small attic space already there, it was too small to remodel into a bedroom. Robert designed wonderful, understandable plans to take that cramped, unusable space and turn it into a state-of-the art, fifteen and a half by fifteen and a half, gable-styled bedroom. He came up with creative ideas on how to build a gable roof over the small, existing one, and then collapse the smaller roof down through a hole in the garage ceiling. That same hole was used to pass tools and supplies back and forth so no supplies had to be carried into my actual living area. He also uncovered tremendous water damage behind the walls in the garage, and came up with quick, workable solutions to fix numerous code violations which had resulted in the water damage. Once the walls were rebuilt, I ended up with a garage that’s the envy of the neighborhood!

These range from the design phase, Architectural & Structural building plans & permits, project construction, custom cabinetry & finished carpentry, kitchen & bath - new & remodel, artistic ceramic & stone work & all sorts of handyman services, installations & general home improvement.
Painting & carpet is not typically offered 'in house' @ RJS Alchemy, but is differed to contractors employed by home improvement stores such as Lowes & Home Depot or those of the business the product is purchased from. We simply can't be competitive, though in small remodeling projects it is provided.
