I have written letters to complain. The piece of upholstery they showed me that my couch would come in was black. They found out three months later but because I had bought it three months before I didn't fall in that category, it peels. They told me to go buy an electric shaver or that if I didn't want to do it they would send someone out and they will charge me $176 to take off the pilling. When I called them up to tell them about it they told me that they knew about that in the material but because I bought in March. I wrote letters all over, I got nowhere. They said I could get no help since I bought it before they found out. I was not happy with the product at all. After spending that kind of money and hoping that you would get something good and you would get resolved. I didn't know what else to do or where else to go. I've talked to more people and wrote down names. I said to them what would make me continue to be a happy Laz-ZBoy customer.? If they had said they were going to send that gentleman out and have them do that on your couch and you won't have to pay the $176. This was in March of 2015 and into 2016 and I finally said I would just let it go. I had a protection plan on it and I called them on that and they said no. I supposedly had ultrashield and they said they didn't cover that. The guy that sold me was even going to send me a shaver. I would never recommend them.
Description of Work: I spent $3000 on furniture. It was the first time I had bought furniture in 20 years. I got 2 loveseats.

The leather recliner is fine, but both love seats' upholstery has started to pill. When I asked the salesman, Charlie, about the problem, he said that they had become aware of the pilling problem with that particular fabric about 8 months ago. He recommended I purchase a shaver to remove the pills, and even said he would purchase one for me. He never did get back with me, so I went out to Hobby Lobby and purchased a shaver but I am afraid to use it because if it makes the problem worse, then it will all be on my shoulders and the company would say I was responsible. I feel as a senior citizen and a widow on a limited income that they do not care about me and my situation.
Description of Work: The provider sold me two LA-Z-BOY love seats and one leather recliner chair.

Description of Work: I gave the overall rating of B because the staff at the store did a tremendous job and worked hard. If I could rate the individual staff members, they would have gotten A's with the exception of the store manager. If I had to rate the store manager, it would have been a resounding F all the way around! We started off with Carlos as our salesman. Carlos was great but left the store's employment right after we placed our order. Joe was our second salesman and he was very good. He kept us informed all throughout the process. Billie was our interior decorator and she was fantastic. Our issue was with delivery staff damaging our bedroom suite and when we contacted the store things went downhill from there. Joe contacted his manager and was told "Service is taking care of them." and NO ONE called us to discuss the problem. We were being reasonable and expecting the store to just discount the damaged furniture about $100 for the damage done by their delivery staff. The store manager could not be bothered to return our phone call. We had to doggedly call the store. When we finally settled everything on our order with the store, the store manager was asked by another employee to call us. That is when we told her that our expectations were NOT met by her. Her staff had done their jobs. She failed to contact the customer after several messages and phone calls were placed. We waited 41 years to get this quality of furniture! $9000 is not an inconsequential order to us! When the manager finally called us, she wanted to blame the salesman for not calling us back. We did not ask him to call us! We asked her to call us! We left our message on HER voicemail. It was only after our salesman came back from vacation, that we had to let him know she still had not called us back! When I spoke with the store manager, she never accepted responsibility for HER failure to communicate with the customer! She acted disinterested on the phone. We love our furniture and would like to get a dining room package but I'll be looking elsewhere for our dining room suite! We have dealt with other furniture stores and companies and had MUCH better service from the store managers than this one. Lazboy corporate headquarters needs to seriously consider putting a new manager in this location.......one that understands customer service!

I was very pleased with the end result.
Description of Work: Lazy Boy furniture repair was a good experience, although a bit expensive. The repairman was very professional and skillful in his work. He told me he has been working for Lazy Boy for 22 years, which shows the stability of the company. The cost of the repair was all labor because the parts were still covered under warranty. I would definitely use this company again.
