DIVERSIFIED AIR TECHNOLOGY

Estimate was middle of three obtained. Owner came out first, then he and his father did the installation. They said they were just a small operation and that the dad had come out of retirement after 30 years as an hvac professional to help the son get started in the same business. All sounded good to me. There was no BBB complaint against them so I hired them. Within a month of them finishing, my electric bill increased by 30%. In the next quarter, it doubled. When I called them to ask about an evaluation of the system, they stalled, or confirmed appointments and then didn't show up. Cliff (the son) claimed illness every time. Finally I hired another company. This operation was able to determine that the unit and the coil did not match, had the wrong oil mixture, etc. Next I learned that Diversified (ie:Cliff) had never had the county inspect his work upon completion. After much deliberation and money, the problem was fixed by the second company I hired. Even after the county pursued DAT (Diversified Air Technology) nothing got done, but in the process we learned that Cliff has been sued several times by unsuspecting homeowner-victims, but has such limited assets that he was never forced to make financial restitution. DAT closed up shop one week and reopened as "Air Pros" the next. They closed again shortly thereafter and are open again as something else. If you deal with a short red-headed guy who tells you all about his kidney transplant, that's the leader of this con-artistry. Run away from any deal with this loser, or you will regret it!!
