Description of Work: I wasn't pleased with the overall work that was done. He gave me a price for work I wanted done, then said it would cost more for the work i needed done. Please make sure you get his estimates in writing.

Description of Work: Andrew came out to give an estimate. He was very quick to respond and very punctual. He took a soil sample and told us what our lawn needed. Applied weed killer, fretilizer, and lime.

Description of Work: Removed juniper bushes and a cypress tree from yard.

Description of Work: I called Mr. Santa because I have several very old shrubs in my yard that needed pruning and at least 18 inches off the top. This work would have to been done from a 12foot ladder and it was too large a job for the man who cuts my grass. Five or six other required pruning but not from a ladder. A very large weeping Yaupon holly had near my front porch was growing over the sidewalk and definitely needed to be tamed. It was way too tall and wide. Mr Santa and his crew worked for almost three hours. They followed my requests to the letter and didn't stop till I was pleased with the results.they picked up and raked up the debris and put in their trailer. Then they blew off my driveway. Mr Santa and I took a final walk around the yard when they were done and I told him that I was indeed pleased with their work and that they had accomplished so much in a short time. My front entrance in particular, was no longer overpowered by the holly.

Description of Work: We don't have much of a lawn ( not much grass etc.) but we have a large lawn front/back. it had not been tended in MONTHS! they were very fast, and very efficient, and they left my shabby lawn looking 100 times better than it looked when the started. They did EVERYTHING. They were also polite, and did not dawdle. They were on a mission and they stuck to it! I have also contracted with them for once a month maintenance! Excellent crew and company!

Description of Work: ACA cleared out a terrible back yard (greatly overgrown) and a somewhat messy front yard, put down mulch, trimmed bushes, and carried away a lot of debris (including household things, not just yard waste).

Description of Work: The day before cutting the lawn, they treated the lawn by spraying weed killer.. The next day, the lawn was cut, edged and hedges were cut. We have a large corner lot and we were very satisfied with the completed job in our front yard and back yard. We worked out a plan for the future, to tackle all of landscape issues. We were impressed with their knowledge and professionalism.

Description of Work: Andrew's service was great. He took very good care of our front lawn while we were away on vacation. I will use him again. The price for the company to service our front lawn was competitive when compared with other quotes but I still think it's a lot for such a small area of grass. I try to save the money and cut my own lawn but when I can't I would use A Cut Above Lawns. Jason H.

Description of Work: The Cut Above crew cleaned out 2 landscaped areas - one in my front yard and one in my back yard - by spraying weed killer and weed whacking, pulling up some unwanted shrubs, trimming back all other shrubs, and putting down brand new mulch. They also got rid of other weeds in my back patio area by spraying and week whacking.

Description of Work: I contacted Andrew via e-mail and then had multiple conversations with him over the phone. Unfortunately I was out of town when I was communicating with him when he visited my home to survey the yard and give an estimate. My original e-mail included the following: "I am interested in a total yard clean up. My last service left without notice and did not return my calls. I would like to start with a total clean sweep and then have bi-weekly or monthly mowing service. Work includes front yard (townhouse), one side with shrubs, and back yard. Very overgrown and unsightly. I would appreciate an estimate and discussion on how to improve my curb appeal for the months to come. Thank you in advance for your consideration." When I arrived home, I immediately noticed that a clean up had been done down to the dirt which I was appreciative for. However, the shrubs had not been trimmed which was very odd. Also, Andrew and I discussed mulch, curb appeal and taking out a dead tree in the back yard (dead limbs had already fallen) and I was totally fine with removing the eyesore. But when I got home, there was no mulch, the dead tree was still standing and the shrubs had not been trimmed down. I felt that I must not have communicated my wishes clearly. Andrew called and asked me if the work was satisfactory and I was indeed pleased with the clean up but I was tongue tied and somewhat hesitant to mention that certain items were not addressed. He did not ask about continuing bi-weekly service, further landscaping or future work. After Andrew called, I took a closer look around the yard and noticed that a few items were missing.....namely a hummingbird feeder and stone rabbit. Although they were not part of the yard cleanup, I didn't realize that these items would be removed and discarded. Although not costly by any means....it was odd that they discarded these items and did not tend to the shrubs. Again, I felt that I must not have communicated myself clearly and that I must have misunderstood the work to be done.

Description of Work: My yard was a total mess! It had become very overgrown and unsightly and needed some professional attention. Using Angie's List, I called three of the top rated lawn and garden providers to solicit bids. One was much too expensive and kept suggesting I do things to the yard that I could not justify doing , one did not show at all, and then there was A Cut Above Lawns. The owner, Andrew, arrived promptly at the prearranged time, walked the yard with me, met my two dogs, listened to what I had to say, and then offered me a fair price for the work I wanted done. This work included weeding different beds, trimming a tree, spreading pine straw in the beds, spaying round-up, and mowing the grass. In addition, Andrew and I talked about contracting for monthly mowing of my yard, scheduled to begin in February. Of course, I am sure this will go to a bi-monthly arrangment during the growing season. The price he quoted me was extremely reasonable.

Description of Work: Cleaned tons of leaves from front and back yard. Back yard had to be bagged by hand (hilly). Trimmed all bushes in front and side yards. Cant remember the exact date they were here in Dec, btw.
