He went silent and never responded to my attempts to contact him. After a week I sent an email through Angi saying that this must not be a responsible company because he wouldn't respond and that I will write a review stating so. He then finally responds saying he is no longer in the lawn business. I thanked him for responding. He went on to say he has canceled service with Angi so a review won't effect him. All that to say be wary if you hire this company. He may just go silent on you too."

Topsoil should go down first. If the topsoil is next to your house, make sure the grade slopes away from the house to keep water from pooling against your foundation and possibly leaking into your basement or crawl space. Don’t cover your decorative landscape mulch with topsoil as that defeats the purpose of laying down the mulch. If you’re trying to create a certain soil composition to improve plant growth, you’ll likely want compost mixed into the topsoil instead of mulch.
