Description of Work: Hired them on a Big Deal of $79 to haul away 5 cubic yards of junk. I knew I had more to haul away than that (hard not to, 5 cubic yards isn't very much), and we negotiated a reasonable charge for the rest of my stuff and the unusual access (debris in a rental property crawl space with access being two half-doors with steps down, kind of awkward). They were responsive, prompt, and efficient. No problems occurred; I would recommend them and use them again.

Description of Work: Deal was to remove 5 cubic yards of junk and clean up/sweep the area. I informed them I had just lumber from a deck remodeling project and that it was definitely less than 5 cubic yards. When they arrived he said he would have to charge me at least three times that amount and that the coupon was intended for people who have just one large item they need to get rid of and not what I had.

Description of Work: I purchased the Big Deal on a Monday morning (May 20) and promptly contacted the company to arrange a time for them to come out. I was told they'd call me back after they'd looked at schedules to determine when they'd "be in my area" next. They didn't call me back, so early Thursday morning I sent an e-mail asking for a response. By Thursday evening I hadn't received either a phone call or an acknowledgement of my e-mail message. The lack of responsiveness left me feeling uneasy about working with them so I decided to try another company to do the work. I will pay significantly more money, but so far the second company has been very organized and clear about all of the arrangements. As it happens, I finally received a follow-up call from The Hauling Men today (May 30). The man who called was pleasant and when I explained that I'd contracted with another company because I hadn't heard back from his company, he apologized for the confusion.

Description of Work: I called to schedule a trash pickup and they would not commit to a pickup date unless they could find additional customers near me. I know it's a long distance from Ellenwood to my house, but that should have been disclosed in the terms of the agreement. In the future I suggest that Angie's List establish a service area that is valid for the offer. Thanks for handling this refund. I'll find another trash hauler that is closer to me. I don't mind paying more;it doesn't do any good to have a great price if the company won't or can't honor it.
