I had used this company years ago for minor work when it was Steve's tree service. Now it's run by the nephew Corey who used to supervise the crews for Steve. Now he's not on site, and the person who supervised the job was rude, and the crew was reckless. In a series of text messages I have screenshots of after, Corey revealed to me that he'd had trouble managing the crews since he took over (no one in his former on-site position with the same sense of family business loyalty, I suppose). Well when the crew arrived, they didn't inform me by knocking on the door or giving me a text or ring. I just knew from the sounds of chainsaws running around. Honestly, I would have moved my vehicles had I known how careless they would be. They kept dragging the oak branches they were cutting back across my fence without any concern for damaging my property. While the fence is old, I think it has some functional years left. When I went out, I saw that they had knocked down multiple posts and decapitated three pickets. When I started to take pictures to send to Corey, the lead guy started yelling at me, "Why are you taking pictures?!" Um, cuz you're ruining my fence. So Corey comes out and assures me they'll take care of it. He said he came down really **** ** the crew. He looked at the fence and gestured with his hands that a section probably ought to be replaced. But we never specified a number. After a couple of weeks went by, he let me know that he was having trouble finding the same picket style and paint color. Finally, after many weeks, he let me know that he had had three replacements cut and painted. And I came back with the fact that seven were actually damaged (not just the 3 decapitated ones). Then he went silent and only responded to my texts when I became assertive. Finally, today (49 days later), he referred me to talk to Uncle Steve, which was the last person he should have had me to talk to. Steve quickly became belligerent on the phone and portrayed me as some sort of scammer who was just trying to get more out of them. Is replacing 7 damaged pickets really that unreasonable when you did the damage? I normally avoid writing reviews, but that treatment made it really personal. I will never use this company again. Very unprofessional.

Corey supervised the crew in removing a very large white oak tree that was 15 feet from my house and about the same distance from a neighbor's fence. I have a long driveway that is on incline so I asked that they not load the truck full and use small machinery to take to street. They did so. The trunk and branches when cut down were larger and heavier that I could have imagined and they managed to remove without damage to the house or fence. Be prepared to lose some plants as the logs have to land somewhere. Corey was either at my house or available within minutes by text. I will ask them to remove tree limbs hanging over my roof next.

Corey was easy to work with, very insightful in helping us with what was required to maintain the health of our tree. I never felt pressured into anything. Corey's team was quick, professional, and precise. They left the job clean. Could not be more pleased.

They arrived not only on time but early, did the work, did extra work we added on while they were here, were very professional and left the property cleaner than what they found it. Corey and his crew were awesome.

It went very well. I received a quote which was a little high but I agreed with the estimate for the yard. I had totally neglected my back and side yards for a while.After some delays due to emergencies and weather.When they could not show up the supervisor called me to inform me to keep me updated. They eventually showed up as promised on a day I thought would be questionable because of the weather.They had a crew of maybe 7-9.. They worked from one end of my " suburban jungle" to the other. They completed my yard nonstop in 3-4 hours.I walked through at the end with the supervisor.He was very knowledgeable and he informed about future maintenance for the yard.They even cleaned up some debris from a previous company I hired to do my front yard.I would use them again, definitely!

I was able to get the permit to remove the trees after being advised by Corey, the representative that did my initial inspection. The company promptly scheduled the trees to be removed after I received my permit. The trees were removed without damaging my hard or property. I was pleased with their work.

We are very disappointed in their lack of professionalism. We had agreed on a rather large, time-sensitive tree removal job: price, date, everything. Then they show up on the day the work was supposed to begin & say that they underbid the job, leave, & will get back with us. Still haven't heard back from them & now a significant portion of the tree has fallen and caused damage because this incompetent company refused to do job for which we had a signed contract. Under no circumstance should you do business with this company.

Steve's Tree Service did an excellent job. They were careful and cleaned up well after the work was done. One small azalea I had planted at the base of the tree was damaged by a falling trunk and they replaced it and planted a second one before they left. Pleasant group to work with (both the initial contact and the team who came out to do the work).

They did an excellent job. Because of the placement of the trees between houses in town it was a bit of a tricky job. They came out with heavy equipment, got 'er done and didn't damage our house or driveway in the process. They also contacted the city beforehand to get the necessary approval to remove a tree.

They were very knowledgeable and gave great advice on best way to handle the job, including things we should NOT do. Gave us a quote one day and came back the next day to do all of the work. They really seemed to know what they were doing. We have also used them in the past to remove a couple of trees. We've recommended them to two other homeowners in the neighborhood and they were also very pleased with their experience.

This is the 3rd time I have used steves tree service. They are awesome. Arrive with full crew. Work quickly and efficiently. Their clean up is fantastic. They deliver exactly whats agreed to. Corey provides great consultation. Provided info and tips on obtaining city permit for removal of the oak tree.

Job went flawless, no issues. Arrived earlier than estimated time, but waited until agreed upon start time. They were done in about 4 hours and we had no issues with their service.

They did not return calls or even answer the phone for three weeks. When we finally were able to speak to someone, they said there was a family emergency. They failed to perform the work because they did not care enough to do it. On 7/14 a large branch from the tree they failed to trim smashed into my new car. There is so much damage! We called Steve's Tree again and they actually sent a crew to look at the damage. Unfortunately, Corey told me he has trees down elsewhere so he would get to my job in three business days. No sight of him yet. Basically, if your job is maintaining your trees, they are not interested, but are too unprofessional to be honest with their customers.

Steve and his crew provided outstanding service with the work performed. The task was not an easy one and I was highly impressed with how they managed to get the job done. I totally would recommend to anyone needing to get the job done right at a reasonable price. I will have them back out to remove more trees at a later date.

Steve's crew was great to work with on both jobs. I did get multiple quotes for the first job, removing the pine tree next to my house, and I think Steve's prices are fair. I would definitely recommend Steve's Tree Service for these types of jobs.

He was on time and professional

They did a good job overall. It was a little hard getting them to come out to do the job. It took 2.5 weeks from the date the work was agreed upon and when they came out.

I have used Steve's tree service on several occasions. On each occasion they have exceeded expectations. In this case, we had a 100 year old fallen tree. The City of Atlanta had removed the portion that blocked the road and sidewalk, leaving us with about 10 feet of trunk as well as a large root wad. Our insurance company referred a tree service that wanted to charge substantially more. Of that, a significant portion was categorized as "landscaping" and would not have been recoverable. We opted for a cash indemnity based on the depreciated value of the damages, and were able to save a good deal of money by using Steve's. We asked them to do some additional small projects and they actually did some nice touches that we didn't expect. They were prompt, efficient, and friendly. I can't recommend them enough.

I don't know what to do except to give them an "F" because it is lousy to fail to respond to a request for a quote. They may do great work, but I have no way to know. If you're too busy to do the work, then tell the person who needs the work you can'd come out and quote. Please do ignore people requesting quotes! As far as I'm aware, they made no attempt to respond to my request for a quote.

These guys are a well-oiled machine. I love the way they do things - which is quickly and professionally. The representative of the company was a man named Cory, who was just beyond nice. The crew leader was John - ditto for him. They came in with about eight guys, and they were DONE in no time. They did their thing, told me what they did, cleaned up the property and were on their way - perfect.

I selected Steve's Tree Service because of their rating in Angie's List. The representative that provided the quote was very knowledgeable and professional. I took his advice about what trees to remove and expanded the scope of the project based upon his recommendations. I liked the fact that all workers are employees of the company (no sub contractors), and they own all their own equipment. I found out later that this is a family business, and many of the employees are related to each other. The day of the work Steve's Team showed up like a small army. They had all the equipment well organized. They had a chipper and dump truck, and they removed every bit of what they cut down. They worked non-stop to get the job done. The workers did not stop once they started and the job I thought would take all day was done in just a couple of hours. They actually did more work that I expected them to do. They cleaned up so that when they were done, you could not tell that they had a dozen people working in my yard. The owner, Steve, was on site and supervised the work. The Team really worked well together. I was so pleased with their work that I actually gave them a tip to buy the guys lunch. My yard looks great and the hazard of a leaning tree pointed to a neighbor's house is now resolved. I recommend them as a family business that takes pride in their work. I would use them again any time I need tree service.

Steve's service was great. He gave us the most reasonable estimate and beat other estimates by about $500. He showed up on time with a small army and got all of the work done within an hour! We finally have a real usable backyard!
