It turned out great. They did a fine job. I had no problems.

The service turned out very well. I had no problems with them. When he checked the air conditioner, he wanted to put in a new filter but the charge of $25.00 they wanted was too high and I just replaced it myself. They did come on time and it was during a cold part of the year.

I ended up signing up with a contract with them. They were professional. They were neat and cleaned up after themselves. They seemed knowledgeable. Everything has been working. I had to have a piece in the unit replaced. They told me that I would probably have to replace the unit but they were not pushing me. They could have been really, really pushing me to buy something from me, but they weren't.

Arrived on time, took as long as they said and air is working fine.

Very pleased with their service and the outcome.

On October 1, 2012 I called these people for new service. I found them in a Google search. They said they had an opening for October 26 and that a new service contract was $250. I agreed and timely paid the fee. From my records, it appears that they have been here two more times since their first visit, including today, May 1, 2013. I would have to do more research than I am right now willing to do to know for sure, but my guess is that I have paid them somewhere between $500 and $800 altogether. On today's visit, the technician said that he had found a leak in one of our lines. Something did not feel right, but I did not question him closely and forgot about it. He said that another man would have to come to fix the leak and would be here this afternoon about 4:00. Though in retrospect I can say that I "felt" something strange in this first technician's behavior, I did not give the affair much thought until this second "repair" man showed up a little late and after the appointed hour. I let him in. I noted that he was a little overdressed for this kind of work, and that he was carrying three different satchels of varying size which appeared to be sales materials and not work tools at all. I told him he was free to start the work, to which he said he had not come to work but rather he had come to talk with me. I said, I thought you're here to fix my leak; he said, no I'm not here to fix anything. Then why are you here, I said? That's what I want to talk to you aboiut, he said. Can I put my bags on your dining table, which he proceed to do without my permission. I began feeling this guy is a con man; he and his partner have lied to me. He said he wanted to explain some things to me and could we should sit down at my table. I said you have about 30 seconds to say what you've got to say, then fix my leak and leave. He demurred, and I said leave my house now. Be careful! This is a scam and a lie! I went onto Angies List - a source that to date has been very good to me to see if they were listed. To my surprise, I found these people listed with AL. These people are not an honest H&A repair house. I told him as he was on his way out to tell those people we're done.

I had an excellent experience. All scheduling was managed promptly via email with Michael. I received calls on both visits prior to arrival. And Pedro, who came out on both occasions, was very professional and really did a great job. He showed and explains my issues and how we would resolve them. I was never made to feel like I was in the way or asking dumb questions.

I bought a condo that was built in 1970, and there was only one thermostat downstairs. During the winter, I would have to turn the thermostat to a minimum of 80 to feel any heat downstairs, and even then, it was still cold. I contacted Shumate about the problem, and a man named Swift Tyler came to my home. He was very professional and even waited on me to get home because I was late due to waiting in a long line to vote. Swift checked things out, thoroughly explained the services that would be performed, and gave me an estimate. He also emailed me such information. I scheduled an appointment for 11/06/2012. A new thermostat upstairs and products for forced air zoning were installed. It is wonderful to have my downstairs heated comfortably without feeling like I'm in h*** upstairs. I will definitely use this company again if the need arises.

Shumate Air Conditioning & Heating's price was reasonable. It went well. I didn't have any issues after their work. I continuously use them because of their price and customer service. They will be here tomorrow for another work.

I called a day after I purchased the service on Angie's List. I had an appointment the next week. Being that we live on the opposite side Atlanta from the home office I thought this was good. We had our unit installed by Shumate a couple of years ago. The same person that put it in came and did check up. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and hard working. The only extra cost was for a new filter. The service person asked if I wanted them to replace or replace it myself. I chose to let them replace it, therefore the extra cost was my choice. We are exceptionally pleased with all the service we have had from Shumate and their office staff is friendly also.

They are always on time. They are honest. They don't try to spend your money. They let you know if something can be repaired versus replaced.

This company has the entire process down to a wonderful science. This was the easiest and fastest purchase we have ever made. It would be crazy to use anyone else!

They understood the landlord tenant relationship and were very professional wtih my tenant, but only took direction form me. THey were extremely responsive - the second time we needed them they were there within an hour. Very personable and strightforward. THey quoted a price and kept within that budget. I HIGHLY recommend them.

Our heater went out, so we called Shumate, which had good ratings here and seemed reliable. My husband called, and the most specific time they could give him was "afternoon." We both work during the day, so he had to stop what he was doing and leave work two hours early to meet the repair person at our house. After attempting a few things, the repair person said that we needed a new control board, and that they had to order the part and could probably be back to fix it before Friday. The cost was approximately $600, unless we decided to sign up for the service plan, which would actually end up costing us MORE money. To make matters worse, the repair person said he would put our furnace onto "emergency heat", which should have kept our house warm until he returned. Unfortunately, after less than 2 hours, the fan was blowing cold air and we're freezing again. Today, we called a second contractor. Yes, we need a new control board, but their price is $239 INSTALLED. Less than HALF of what I was quoted by Shumate. I will NOT be calling Shumate again. Update: After calling another company, I found out that the original item we would need, the control board, was actually in perfect working order but we had two major problems on the outside unit which were causing our heat to go out. The TOTAL cost was still less than the ridiculous amount we were quoted from Shumate. I will be calling to request my money back for the service charge, as truly nothing beneficial was done.

They found some interesting things that were not caught by the previous servicer. I am very pleased with their service. I signed up for annual servicing with them and have them coming back to clean ducts and install wi-fi thermostats.

The Shumate rep that came to give us an estimate on replacing our 15yr old HVAC system was courteous and on time. He gave our system a very thorough going-over and took measurements, and told us he would email our estimates shortly, which he did. We eventually chose a different company, offering a different system and price combination, to install our new system. I would not hesitate to call Shumate again for another estimate if we needed them for a different project.

They did a very good job. They had an issue with scheduling and had to come twice but they came and did the work they were supposed to do for free on the missed visit.

I had a sale rep come out in August to give me an estimate for repairing my HVAC. I didn't get around to replacing the system until Jan as the heating unit worked fine. When I called to inquire if the estimate was still good six months later, I was told yes. I made that call on a Wed. and the work was scheduled for Friday. The service men were right on time, professional and very good. I feel it's money well spent.

Shumate came to our house twice to fix an intermiitent overtemp indicator in our Furnace. The first time, they "cleaned some debris" and pressed us to get a quote for a new unit. The problem reoccurred shortly afterward, and the next technician "tightened a loose connector", told us our system was junk, and pressed us to get a quote for a new system. The system of course shutdown again the next day, and I ended up diagnosing and replacing the control board myself, which fixed the problem. So much for the "professionals". I've had good luck with Shumate in the past - they installed much of the system they now claim is "junk" - but my last few experiences suggest they are no longer good for much other than pushing new equipment.

I have been using them for years. They have the best price and we have been happy with their maintenance service. They always do the job and they always make me happy. I think their price is typical. I will continue to use them.

What a wonderful experience! Ed, the technician was sent to my home the very afternoon after calling in the morning for service on my Air Conditioner that had quit working the day before. I was very pleased to get same day service. After reviewing the wiring within my unit he determined very quickly that two wires had been burned causing my unit not to work. He replaced the wiring. He also discovered I was low on refrigerant and replaced it. The work costs exactly what he estimated. He was very informative in replying to my questions and laying out all options that I had available to me at this time as well as in the future. I would definitely recommend Shumate again!

The overall experience was very positive. Everyone I spoke with at the company was pleasant and professional. Since it was not an emergency situation, I made an appointment for service. I was called when the technician was on his way, and he arrived within the timeframe promised. He was professional, completed his work quickly., and explained the problem thoroughly.
