Shumate Air Conditioning & Heating

After submitting a request online for plumbing service, I immediately received a call from Shumate. I explained the service I needed and we scheduled an appointment for Thursday, September 13. Not only did Shumate not show up for the appointment, they didn’t have the courtesy to call and apologize or request to reschedule. So I called a different company yesterday that is scheduled to come on Sunday and also sent me a text to confirm the appointment. From my experience, Shumate is an unreliable company who caused a potential customer to lose a day at work waiting for necessary service that never occurred.

An outstanding company we would not hesitate to hire again. Initially, their technician did an admirable job of trying to repair the 20 year old units. When that didn't work, an individual came out and explained the different units available. The technicians who installed the units were very professional, prompt, courteous and fast! In all, we went from non-functioning units to new ones in less than 48 hours. I should mention that our house is 3 stories and they had to take one unit to the attic. No complaining at all. Just very nice. We definitely recommend Shumate!

They moved my entire HVAC system from my basement to my attic. Their estimate was lower than others I received, and they did a great job overall. I would definitely recommend.

It went great, except for the fact that we couldn't get the warranty company to cover, or even make, the repair. But it was our mistake for trusting that fly-by-nite company in the first place. We ended up taking a service contract with Shumate.

Even though the serviceman came later than scheduled, I knew the time slot was an estimate since there are always emergency calls taking priority which I understand. Jeremy came about 6:30 p.m. since they work as late as necessary to get to everyone scheduled that day. Jeremy was professional and personable and seemed very competent. Definitely recommend.

I had forgotten Shumate did plumbing work so when I saw them on Angie’s list I decided to give them a call. Adam Chrisman was the plumber that was sent out. Adam quickly identified the problem, cleared the drain and educated me on a couple of things regarding my drains. I would highly recommend Shumate for plumbing work. If you are a Shumate Signature member there is no service call fee and you gets priority call service.

The installers arrived on time. They were very professional and the work was completed without problems. I would certainly hire them for another job.

I was very impressed with my experience with Shumate. They had the best price from the three bids that we contacted for estimate. The installation of the Lennox system was done the next day with no major problems. The crew was very fast and efficient. There were only two minor issues. The crew didn't clean up around the AC unit and did not run a new drain line for the condensation pump. Both of those things were very minor and I can handle them myself. Shumate did excellent work for the price that was quoted and we are very happy (and warm) with our new Lennox system.

On time, professional and friendly, diagnosed quickly and fixed. We use Shumate for our HVAC system as well. Not the cheapest...but the best. Was thrilled to discover they do plumbing, too. And they are honest and really nice...trust them totally.

All aspects of the company were very professional, from beginning to end - the workers who installed our unit were especially helpful with explaining everything and ensuring that we were all set before leaving the premises. We will be using Shumate in the future! Thank you for your services!

They did everything expected and did a great job.

I called and made an appointment and they were able to get me in quickly. They were even able to come sooner than the appointment. I was not at all impressed with the person who came. I opened the door and he just stood there. No intro at all. No smile. He performed the work, I paid and he left. No thank you. I told him thank you and have a good day and he did say the same possibly. Not at all a pleasant customer service experience.

They simplified the situation and I was reassured by the lower cost and the supposed expertise of the person selling me the system. Unfortunately, it was all wrong. I would never agree to a system replacement costing thousands of dollars that didn't work-- but I did, unknowingly. Now i'm stuck with a system that doesn't work and I'll have to hire someone else at greater cost to fix it. I regret every day that we hired Shumate.

They were prompt to come and assess the old AC units and tried to repair them but it would probably have cost as much to patch the old units as replace them with new efficient ones. The entire job was done in less than a day and the new system has been working like a charm ever since.

The tech showed up around on Saturday morning as promised, and he found the problem as being a blown capacitor and hard start unit. He was courteous and even let our dog sniff him to the dog's satisfaction.

It didn't. So why would I give them another chance? Because they just did a stellar job on my mother and father in laws house in Marietta. Ive seen the work, which is why I wanted them do service my home. Maybe one day...
