Pest Free Exterminating

Christian was very reliable and did what he said he was going to do. He videoed the damage he saw and showed me the materials he would be using for the repair. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything to make sure I understood what he was suggesting I do and why. He has come several times after the work was completed to ensure nothing was coming in the house and that everything that may have already been in was caught and removed. The price was a good bit less then the other quote I got and he was referred to me by a friend who was also satisfied with their results from his work.

He was exceptional and the quality of the work is great.He is professional and I would hire him back if I have a problem.

I saw rodent droppings in my second bedroom and knew I had a problem. That weekend I went to get the rake out of the crawl space and saw droppings everywhere! Some rodents had made my crawl space home sweet home and were looking to expand into my house. Obviously, this was more of a problem than I'd initially thought. I called Pest Free Exterminating that Monday and Christian came out that Tuesday. I believe this fast response time was because it happened to be the week of the Christmas holiday and I was likely the only person interested in handling such an issue during that time. Christian Cerda went into my crawl space and called me to follow him inside. And although I was crying inside and outwardly expressing my distaste of the crawlspace, I went in. He explained that I had rats (I screamed at this horror) and that they had likely sought shelter because they could get warm on my water heater and furnace. (I thought I had squirrels because my neighborhood is full of them. I was not expecting rats at all.) He explained where the openings were and how the rats were able to squeeze through such small areas. Basically, rats are fat with small internal organs and muscles so they can squeeze their fat selves into very tiny spaces including my crawl space vents. To this day, I still wonder what they were eating because the only person who has less food in their house than I do is Daniel B. My neighbor said they were likely eating berries that were falling from the trees between our houses. Christian told me to look for any chewed books, boxes or food containers but I never saw any. Christian came out that Thursday to perform the work at my house. This is an expensive service but if you own a home then you already know that any service costs as much as a Mexican vacation and it's better to come home to a rodent-free house than to visit Cancun. Christian and his workmate did a great job. The vents are all covered with a mesh that cannot be chewed through. He put a cement block on my crawl space door and reinforced the opening with fresh wood so that the rats could no longer crawl in through there. He cleaned the crawl space and put down the best vapor barrier I've had. My crawl space is so much cleaner that I only had to take three deep breaths before going in to change my furnace filter yesterday. (Normally, I have to breath multiple times and let out a few pitiful moans.) Christian also sealed my roof area where there were gaps that allowed the rats to get into my attic. Since the work was performed, Christian or another person has come to check the traps they left behind (just in case one of the little critters was hiding in the walls when the initial work was performed.) But they did such a good job that on all the subsequent visits not one rat has been in the traps, and I have not seen any droppings. So as far as I'm concerned, my home is rat free and I'm so very, very thankful.
