They were very honest and gave me a a throughout review on the unit. They are a pretty big company. The servicing was free and it came with the new air conditioning we bought. They came out to make sure everything was going good. The service plan was included with the purchase of the new air conditioning unit. They checked the lines to make sure everything was running good. They really have good customer service too. Quality was good. We were really impressed with their people. They were very professional.

I had used them for almost 10 years, but ever since the company was bought out the service has gone downhill. I did not sppreciate the conceited know-it-all attitude of the last technician. I requested he not be sent again, but 6 months later he was the one. They did not appear to want or need my business so I have taken it elsewhere. The new people also reported cigarette butts left around my unit in the crawl space.
Description of Work: Filters that should have been changed were not, and when I tried to report my dissatisfaction , I got no help.

There is one man that I work with and I always request him so he always comes, he has been really honest with me, he's wonderful, and he's a just a great guy. When he couldn't come, he always sends out somebody that he feels that I would work well with. I'm not hard to work well with, but I've had heating and air conditioning where I think they sold me things that weren't proper, and they did things that weren't right. This one guy that works with this company is just wonderful. The year before we had insulation within that he recommended and I had asked him first, and he went through and priced it all out, and I had that done. I would rate them highly.
Description of Work: I have a yearly contract with Peachtree Service Experts so they come out twice a year and if I have problems with my air conditioning or heating, they come in and repair it. I have 2 heating and air conditioners. The last time they came out was in December. We also bought heating and air conditioning from them.

The system worked fine during warm months with the AC. We have had problems ever since the first time the heat switched on. We have had several techs out and no one seems to know what is wrong with it. At times it just doesn't work. For example, today it is 4 degrees outside and it isn't working. When the unit was installed last April the humidifier was also improperly connected and when it was first used this winter it leaked through the ceiling into my daughters bedroom. At this point we are trying to get them to remove the system and find another heating/AC company that knows what they are doing.

I have used this company in the past, and when I scheduled them directly, they seemed to take a bit more time than they did when I used an Angie's list Big Deal. This doesn't necessarily mean they didn't do a good job, but there was only a little interaction, but I'm glad they didn't try to up-sell me, or sell me a part for a huge mark up (the latter of what they did in the past).

Overall we are pleased with the service performed by Peachtree Service Experts and would use them again. We had set up a 10 am appointment but the guys showed up at around 8 am which was a surprise. I wasn't upset about their earlier arrival time since I was already up and running errands and thought it was not a big deal that they started the service so early on a Saturday until I walked outside and realized how loud the vacuums were in their trucks. Luckily, the neighbors said they weren't woken by the noise but I do not recommend having the service done early on a weekend. I did purchase the deal through Angie's List for one unit for $347 and messaged to find out what the additional unit would cost to have cleaned but never heard back. I called the day before the service was scheduled but wasn't able to talk to anyone who could quote me a price for the additional unit so I just purchased another deal for $347 through Angie's List. I may have overpaid but will never know. The guys, Dennis and Sergio, were very friendly and did a good job as far as I can tell. They said they found wood, drywall, and lots of dust and debris so I am glad we had the service done.

Everything went well with the installation of the dual fuel system by Peachtree Service Experts about 2 years ago. Recently however, we tested the radon level in our house and it came up high. We called a radon expert out to the house and he informed us that we did not have a radon problem, we had a duct sealing problem as our unit is located in the crawl space. He identified multiple places on the unit itself, where the unit connects to metal ducts, and where the duct goes into the house where there are major gaps that should have been sealed. There are places where the metal ducts have been "sealed" with duct tape instead of using mastic and one place in particular where the gap is so large where the return connects to the house that my hand can fit up inside the space. These gaps on the unit and the ducts have been pulling the air from the crawl space and pushing it into our house. The same day we found these gaps, we had a Service Experts salesman come to the house to give us a quote for a unit to be used in a different part of the house. When I pointed these gaps out to him he said that someone could come fix it for free, no problem. I later called Service Experts to have someone come fix the problem. I was told that a supervisor would call me, I received no such call. More than 24 hours later I called them back to follow up and was told that I would have to pay for a technician to come out - this call somehow cut off. I immediately called back and spoke with someone else who scheduled someone to come out and give a second opinion and I would not be charged. The day of my appointment the technician called to inform me that he was on his way and that there would be a charge for him to come out. I explained my situation and he said that there would still be a charge. I asked to speak to a supervisor about this. The supervisor was supposed to call within the hour. Three hours later, I called the technician back to get the supervisor's number as I still had not heard from him. After leaving the supervisor a message, he called me back and said he would have to look up my account and would call me the following business day, which would be a Monday. After speaking with this supervisor I was told that HIS supervisor would call me. I have had to follow up and have yet to be contacted by the supervisor's supervisor, over one week later. I even was called by mistake by the supervisor I had spoken to. I reminded him who I was and that I still had not heard from his supervisor. He was going to follow up on this.... Their website boasts of a 100% satisfaction guarantee. I wish that I was an HVAC expert and could have caught these huge mistakes earlier on. Now I know that for the past two years, the air being pumped through our house is coming from the crawl space and no one from this company will respond to our calls. I am EXTREMELY disappointed with how they have handled this matter and we will not be using their services again.
Description of Work: Installed a dual fuel system - we later found MAJOR gaps that should have been sealed. When trying to have them fix the problem, have had zero success in having someone come out.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went very well. They offered to be the service provider for bi-annual checks for my whole HVAC system and I agreed to that at an additional charge. They were there for a good 1-1 1/2 hours. They did a complete thorough check. They replaced the filters for me at a charge. It didn't seem like an exorbitant charge. It was good.

Service was Great! The technician arrived on time. He was very through. Answered all my questions in everyday language instead of technical jargon. I am female and new home owner and had encountered a lot of fast talking salesmen so it was refreshing to deal with someone who was there to do his job and not run a scam. I had a concern about an item related to my furnace that was flagged in my home inspection report. When I asked him about it he returned to the furnace to check it out. Confirmed it was no longer an issue (as he had already addressed it ) and gave me tips on what to look out for to know if something is wrong. I would recommend them to others and they are definitely who I will call when it is time for my systems to be serviced again.

As I had 2 A/C & furnace units, I purchased 2 Big Deal coupons. I have had a service contract with Peachtree Service Experts for the past 16 years, which I plan to renew again. But 1st I wanted to take advantage of the cost savings from the Big Deal offer. I have found over the years that the various service technicians from Peachtree Service Experts have always been knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. The Big Deal experience was no exception! As anticipated, I had to replace an air filter for 1 of the furnaces, not covered by the Big Deal. The only snafu was that they did not have a record of my Big Deal and the technician did not know anything about it. As this occurred on a Saturday, the office wasn't staffed, so the work couldn't be done that day. I contacted the office the following Monday to straighten out the problem and reschedule for the following Saturday.

I go under contract and the contract is ending in May or June, and they will start a new year, but I am not continuing with them. I have used them since 1986, when it started out under Masseys. They do 2 seasonal clean ups and inspections, and they are reliable, but I should not have trouble about having to speak to someone about the overcharge. The workmen are fine, but I am satisfied with the management. They carry only one unit, and so if I have to buy a new unit, I don't have a choice. I would like to have a choice. I am not going to use them again because of management.

September 2010 I bought a new water heater, Lennox Elite furnace and Lennox Elite central air conditioner from Service Experts. They were very prompt and professional. The air conditioner was installed according to Lennox specifications. At the time I did not think it was cooling as well and taking out the humidity as well as it should. They came back and said everything was set at factory specs. I called the company and spoke with a Supervisor named Roger. He came out, checked the system over and made an observation - I have a part of my ductwork that is irregular. He made some adjustment to the system to compensate for the smaller ductwork and the unit has worked perfectly for two and a half years. It kept the humidity level between 37 and 44% even on very high humidity days. Service Experts called me at least 2 times a year to come "service" the system. I saw no need in it since it was working so well till this year when they caught me at a weak moment and I agreed to have someone come check it. The technician they sent was a pleasant enough fellow but clumsy and absent minded. He lost one of his tools, which he later found in his truck and when it came time to put the panel back on the unit he could not get it back on and the unit kept shutting off and coming back on, off and on at least 4 times before he got the panel back on. Shortly after that, we went outside and the compressor was making a horrible noise. He said don't worry about it, turning off and on several times has made "the compressor run backwards". At this point, he shut the system down, said the compressor was "hot" and had to be cooled down. He got the hose, and for 20 to 30 minutes ran water over the compressor and said it would be fine. When he left, I noticed on my receipt, his notes said " cleared drain lot of scale caused compressor to run backward cooled off cleaned". It has not worked right since then. I cannot get the temperature in the house any lower than 73. The humidity level ranges from 43 to 50%, most of the time it is in the 48 to 50% range. A damp cool. Another Supervisor has been out here 3 times and says he has done all that can be done. When I call the office, no one will take my calls or return my calls.. This company advertises a "100% 3 Year Satisfaction Guarantee". My 3 years is not up until September 10, 2013.

I scheduled an appointment over a week ago for our a/c unit to be serviced. We receive a call 15 minutes before someone was supposed to be at our home and my husband was told that they had over booked appointments for customers receiving a tune-up. This person said that they would have to move our appointment to some day during the week. My husband told them that we needed someone here today, as our a/c was not cooling well when the outdoor temps were rising. Example: outside temp would be 88 and inside our home would be reading 84. This person then said that we would need to be put on a diagnostic list and they would charge us an additional $99 for that test. My husband told them let's just keep our tune-up appointment and wait and see if we needed the diagnostic test. Even after my husband tried to reason with this person, he was still adamant that no one would be coming to our home unless we got the diagnostic test as well. My husband told him that this sounded like a bait and switch, as we have a $50 off coupon. We decided not to have anyone come to our home as it was extremely unprofessional to call our home 15 minutes before our appointment and try to move us to another day. Secondly, bait and switch? Really? We had used this company in the past for a problem with our furnance and felt comfortable with hiring them again; however, we will never use their service nor recommend them.

They are easy to schedule, they do a good job of inspecting the HVAC systems, and their service personnel seem confident and professional. The problem with them comes with their pricing of repair work. They use a "White Book" to determine how much things cost. The prices in the book are considerably more than other contractors, usually by 20-25%. The service technician has no leeway adjusting the prices. It leaves you with the feeling that their up front service is just a tease to get to the repair work.
