Very good. Pleasant knowledgeable technician who worked fast.
Description of Work: Had an unusual problem. The upstairs AC made a vibrating sound when the blower came on. The service technician found the schematic for the furnace had come unglued and was wrapped around the squirrel cage fan. He remove it and fixed the problem. I signed up for the 6 month service contract and he cleaned both systems, checked the freon, and did not charge me for the fan fix.

They were very prompt in coming to our home, and the service call center would call ahead to notify us that it was time for our check-up. The technicians would call and let us know when they were coming. However, the visits always were the same, with the technician checking the system, then telling us that something (usually ranging from $500-$5000 dollars) needed to be fixed/replaced/etc. We began to get very concerned when we noticed that at each visit, they would tell us something different needed to be replaced. I soon began to feel very suspicious and lost trust in them. We assumed that if ''pins'' were corroded, then the next technician at the next visit would mention the same thing. A part that needed to be replaced was never mentioned twice by anyone. It seemed to us that they were just out to make a quick buck, capitalizing on our trust in them of taking care of our system. They also never replaced the filter as they promised they would, even after us complaining.
Description of Work: Signed up with them for a one year maintenance agreement for the A/C and HVAC system for our home. They would come out every few months to turn on either system, check the functioning of the equipment, clean parts, and report to us the condition of everything for preventive care.

The furnace servicing the basement had not been working properly and we got a surprise call that wed be having visitors stay with us. The replacement part was estimated at over $600. The sales consultant evaluated our system, understood our minimal heating and cooling needs for basement and did not try to sell us a super-efficient unit. He was very knowledgeable and noted the current set-up probably failed due to lack of sufficient return air. The installers were very professional, prompt and thorough. The system was complete by 2 PM and the guests arrived at 6 PM. Job well done!
Description of Work: 1) Service units and replace filters. 2) Replace furnace and redo return vents.

They came on schedule. Were polite and professional. HOWEVER, they mis-assembled one piece of equipment and neglected to service another. They came back, on request, and remedied.

They did what they said they would do. Their price to fix the unit was higher that another company I contacted. They also suggested that I replace the unit. I actually did replace the unit but had the other company do the replacement.

Called Peachtree in the morning and their technician arrived that afternoon. The cause of the problem was relatively minor and didn't involve a great deal of work to repair, but I was paying for the expertise and knowledge. Overall good experience.
Description of Work: One of our AC units was not working. Peachtree was called to assess and repair the problem.

The repair tech. indicated I should probably replace the system for $5000 or $6000, however, he would not give me a quote. He had the salesman visit. I explained that I wanted to budget for that later and would only like to repair the present system. He gave me a very fair price and did not push to sell me a new system. I believe the repair techs are paid a commission, however, the rates seem consistent with the rates friends have gotten with other companies. I highly recommend Peachtree Service Experts based on this experience with the salesman (who has been with Peachtree for 34 years).

They came the same day - thanks!! Worked us in even though they weren't able to arrive until 7pm. We were grateful to have AC again in the Atlanta summer. Our only complaint was that they didn't tell us until they were leaving that they didn't fix the leak, they just added freon. They said that we could call them back out for an additional $250-$300 to do a leak assessment and then pay more to have it fixed. So, we know that the solution was only temporary.
Description of Work: Diagnosed AC problem: freon leak. De-iced AC and put in more freon.

Showed up on time. Identified the problem quickly. Took his shoes off so not to drag dirt in the house. Very positive experience.

Salesman Adam rescheduled the original sales appointment three times (admittedly with my concurrence) over the course of 2 days. The last straw was when he called me at 7:30 am to move a 9 am appointment up to 8 am, and then showed up earlier than agreed and woke my family with the doorbell. I cancelled the quote and sent him on his way.

We have been using this company (originally Hobson H. and A.) for around 25 years. They installed a new system six years ago. Ever since Peachtree took over we have had the worst service scheduling possible, and it continues to stay very bad. Today's call had originally been scheduled for a day last week. They didn't show, and I had to call them. We rescheduled for a first call appointment today, between 8:00 and 8:30 originally. They called last night and said it would be between 8:30 and 9:30. The technician didn't come until 10:00, saying that he had been in a required meeting. I believe that: our poor service has always been a result of management practices. This was a typical experience with this company. Scheduling and having them show up at the 1st appointed time, on time, would be a completely atypical experience for me with this company. We are terminating our contract with this company and finding another company.
Description of Work: Today we had a routine service checkup. As usual the technician was extremely nice, knowledgeable, and did a good job.

Quality of work was good, tech gave a low estimate that he had to stick by. Hard sell for replacing system during this visit, usually pushed to buy extra work on maintenance visits. Still not sure how the valve was broken, or why it was not detected during the maintenance visit.
Description of Work: Currently have a 3x/yr maintenance contract. 1 month after visit, a/c not cooling. Service valve to coil was broken - told was a rare occurrence. Special-ordered valve, coil section was cut out and valve section was soldered in. System evacuated and charged with freon.

THE WORK THAT THEY DID WAS FINE. THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS THAT FOR ONE APPOINTMENT THEY DID NOT COME TO MY HOUSE IN THE PROMISED TIME WINDOW. IT WAS GOOD QUALITY WORK AND GOOD PRICING. IF YOU HAVE A CONTRACT WITH THEM YOU GET HALF OFF ON PARTS.

OVERALL IT WAS OKAY. THEY WERE ALWAYS LATE. IT TOOK THEM THREE DAYS OR SO TO DO THE INSTALLMENT, WHICH ISN'T UNUSUAL. THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH WHAT THEY HAD INSTALLED. THEY EVENTUALLY DID RESOLVE IT. IT TOOK LONGER AND MORE INPUT ON MY PART TO GET IT RESOLVED.

THE GUY CAME, AND HE WAS PROFESSIONAL. IT WAS HIS DEMEANOR AND INTERACTION WITH ME. HE SEEMED TO KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING. THE PRICE SEEMS A LITTLE STEEP FOR THEM TO COME OUT TWICE A YEAR TO CHANGE FILTERS AND MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS RUNNING.
