He first tried to use a cheaper siding then the original that we had asked for. We complained that it wasn't straight, it was not installed on our home straight. I have a letter that he sent and he said we wanted the siding to do something it is not designed to do and that is to be straight without cracks. We almost sued him, but it would have been an enormous pain in the butt. They left a mess in our yard and they cracked the driveway with trash truck because they allowed it to get so heavy. They messed up our lawn in the front yard because they were driving all over it. The roofers did not put plastic or a shelter over the hole they left in the roof. It rained and ruined our ceilings. They tried to make every excuse in the world that it wasn't causing all the water damage in the ceilings which are still not completely fixed. I have concerns about what all the wet wood and insulation will be like in 10 years. He didn't pay his painting contractor so he tried to come and get it through us. He told the painter to come and get it through us because we were with holding funds, which was just a very small amount. Then we found out he's not a full time contractor which is why he wasn't out here all the time like he should have been to supervise. He was hardly ever out here because he had another full time job. The wood around the windows was not replaced with what we agreed to replace it with. When the painters painted a lot of the windows got stuck and they never did much to unhinge them. We have paned windows and when they were replacing some of the rotted wood they knocked down some of the several panes that are in the windows. My husband had to put them back up. Their bid was $10,000 more than the next lowest bid.
