The man cleaning the set was on the phone during the cleaning at some point he stopped cleaning and held the hose on the sofa. I came back from the ATM to pay him and was watching him and he pointed out a wet spot with a small hose and I wanted him to hurry so I could show my wife, she was talking to our son that was coming from over seas. After the man had finish doing the work I notice while he was working he stayed on his phone and I remember my wife pointing out to him we vacuum for him so he did not have to because we wanted him in and out, but to do an excellent job. My wife could not catch the man after the work was done so she called the company and they gave her the run around claiming someone name Mark would called. No one called so she file a report because she was told to. Next thing I know she is telling me about this Joe Smallidge character coming to check and come to find out he closed the claim without our permission and he came to the home while I was there to look at the set. My wife told him we just moved here. The man came to my home on 11-13-17 stating he is the Regional Manager of Sears Services in the Area, he looked took pictures and my wife felt she was going to get a resolution. She told him the set was important to her it represented her only daughter who was kill while serving in the Army and apart of 911. He listen and she told me after she told him about our son coming home from overseas he stated "you had a lot going on that day" n "nerves problem were pretty bad" "he stated that this always happen at least this is was he noticed people r pretty busy". this is his words that she recorded. She was trying to get him to talk by telling him a truthful story of her life n pain. After the visit she tried calling Mr. Smallidge, and he was on Vacation, so she called again. He called her while I was on the phone and she let me go to talk to him and this is when he told her we did the damage when we put something heavy on top of the chair. Now he did not give an explanation about the inside damage and my wife was what, she told him that I am a certified packer and mover have been for 9 years for Nebraska Furniture Mart in Omaha, you or they can check. I told my wife there wasn’t anything on the chair to make a nail size cut in the top of a chair or both would have a cut in the chair. Sears is committing fraud and now they want my wife to accept 300.00 for the damage that an employee did to the set that has a sentimental value to my wife who buried her daughter in the Military plot in Omaha. When my wife told him she will get back to him, she called back and founded out they had schedule a cleaning without telling her during the call. She was confused, called me upset and asked what game is Mr. Joe Smallidge playing first he claim we did it and he doesn’t give an explanation as to how the agent damage the inside of both chairs and sofa and until this day you can still see the dents and impressions on the set. A custom made set well over 15,000.00 from Elena Contemporary Home Collection in Omaha, NE, she purchased other items but this set is important to her as a mother who had to buried her daughter and to have someone talk so insensitive and no moral support for a cash paying customer who by the way was upsale is insulting to anyone’s frame of thinking. I have to assume they feel my wife is going to let this go. She isn't so I can’t either. All she wants is to be COMPENSATED FOR THEIR ERRORS AND LACK OF PRODUCTIVE IN DOING A FINE JOB OF CLEANING A SET THAT IS CUSTOM MADE. She had put the letter on FB for support from Sears and still no reply, she did it twice. They are only willing to give us 300.00 and we both feel this is deplorable and Joe is showing a lack of respect toward his customer as if the tools they are using will not damage merchandise. So, we looked it up and the same complaints we had other customers had pink inside the chairs, dents, scratches and so many dissatisfied customers, with Sears Services. My wife said she should have checked before asking them to clean our set. I pray this helps someone in Georgia and other states not to do business with Sears when it come to cleaning upholstery or curtains. Back in the day they were awesome, but now they are a 1 star service company for a lot of customers. Reading their complaints allow you to get a better understanding as to why they are closing down so many stores in their network. As of now she is waiting for some sort of correspondence from Mr. Joe Smallidge and I feel as she does 1300.00 will resolve our issues for the damage, Even if Mr. Smallidge had offered 700.00, my wife was willing to accept that.

Professional. Makes you wonder if they mark up repairs so you will buy new with the discount they give you.
Description of Work: Gave an estimate on a dishwasher repair. Supposedly it was a $337 repair; the part was $179. We passed and bought a new dishwasher. Had a similar situation in the past with a fridge.

The oil change was done. I had my car painted recently and there were scratches in the paint on the fender. I started experiencing an oil leak my car was smoking I took it to another auto repair shop luckily they were honest and it only cost me $51 to have them tell me the oil filter was not put on tightly.

Up until about four years ago, I've had great service from Sears. They diligently covered maintenance on all of my appliances, even the ones that I had not purchased from them. The first problem that with them was with my treadmill. They would not service it at the same time that they had been doing everything else like they had every year before. They said they would have to wait, and that it was too soon to get it looked at, they would have to wait until February. I waited until February to call them, like they had told me to, but when the time came they said the contract had lapsed. I was livid. I don't know why they didn't do it when I asked them to. They've been great in the past, but they really dropped the ball on this one. The next problem that I had was with my refrigerator. I have had a contract on that for a very long time, but when I had a problem with it, they told me it was a maintenance free refrigerator. If they can't do any work on the it, why did I have the contract on the Frigidaire in the first place. They agreed that since they couldn't work on the fridge, that they would change the contract to cover my stove instead of my fridge. Currently, they now are telling me that they can't service the stove because it is too old. They never told me that the stove was too old to cover when I was switching around the contract. Thankfully, now they are issuing me a refund for the contract, but I have to jump through all sorts of hoops to get the money. It will probably take until the end of the year. They are coming out to service my Kenmore refrigerator today. Hopefully, when they see this, they will change their mind about my stove. I really don't think that there is too much wrong with it, it's just not heating evenly. Wouldn't it be better for everybody if they just had some common courtesy and take care of my small issue. The following grades reflect the last four or five years where their customer service has suffered. My previous grades would have been higher, but my current grades are generous at best. They reflect how I am feeling right now. The previous generation of service was extremely helpful and professional.
Description of Work: I had a service agreement with them to fix my major appliances. Most of them were purchased at this particular Sears at Arbor Place, but the servicemen told me to add my other appliances so they could work on everything.

I did not set the service up as the price was too high and the only time they could put tires on was not convenient for me.
Description of Work: Cost of service is an estimate I was given. I was shopping for tires and was given two different estimates for the same tires by the same person, with the 2nd price higher than the 1st. I have used Sear's in the past and not been disappointed; however, this time the price was not good and the only time they could do the work was not convenient.

Description of Work: We selected three companies to provide roof quotes, and Sears was one of them. We had to schedule two appointments because the calling center rep did not mention that both spouses needed to be present for the quote. However, Mr. Scott, the sales rep, took measurements and did assessments on his first visit. He was pleasant, knowledgeable and seemed to be thorough. On the second visit, Mr. Scott showed us an elaborate presentation about Sears' roofing services, comparing basically two or three roofs that ranged in price from extremely expensive to expensive. Of course, Sears offers a lower price if you sign with them on the spot or within a week. While the quality was undeniable, we knew that our insurance company would not cover such costs -- costs that doubled or nearly tripled our other bids. We selected another company.

They were very thorough. They measured everything three times. They looked at anything we wanted changed. Their recommendations were excellent. When we did mention something, they would fix it immediately. They were very prompt, courteous, and professional. They were prompt at cleaning up. The two men that did the work were nice Christian gentleman.
Description of Work: We have used Sears Home Improvement. We had some cabinet replacing done and some work done in our kitchen.

They are easy to work with. They do a good job and get it done quickly. They save me a 40-minute drive to the dealer. I leave the car and go to the mall and they call me when it is ready. The last time I should have asked for high mileage oil but they can see it is 164,000 miles and I think they should have asked if I wanted it. Ultimately it was my responsibility but they could have asked. They are professional.
Description of Work: I use Sears Automotive to check my oil and do the yearly maintenance thing. I am probably due for another oil change.
