The last thing he did was pick out items at Home Depot, and add tools that I did not need or approve of, and had the clerk at the Contractors Desk call me so I could pay for the supplies. At this time, I was not questioning his purchases because we had been doing this for about 3 weeks and I paid for the order. I later regretted this when I never saw him again, and I received a receipt via email listing two tools that I didn't need/approve of and he still had a key to my house. This man is guilty of Theft by Taking, but since the amount was so small, I did not make any criminal charges against him. I then had to pay a locksmith $100 to rekey my home's locks. I never heard from him again even though I sent texts and phoned. Please take this man off your list before someone else gets taken for a ride.

Maurice was incredibly conscientious, worked long hours to make sure the job was done on time, and did a fabulous job. He is definitely my go to guy from here on out.

After I paid for the paint service, Maurice contacted me to come to the house and take a look at the rooms to be painted. He told us how much paint to get. He finished the job as promised, in the time frame he gave us. He did not think one coat of paint looked good enough in the bedroom, so went to the paint store and got another gallon for a second coat. It turned out really well. The walls were well covered and the trim was neat. I bought this for for my mom's house and she was very pleased with the work and with Maurice. He was very pleasant. Good phone and email communication.

Maurice with Make-Over Home Improvement replaced two doors in my home. This was a last minute request and they were able to accommodate my schedule with outstanding service, excellent quality and craftsmanship. He is very professional, prompt, and affordable. He stayed late to make sure that the job was perfectly done. I will use Make-Over for future handyman and home improvement services.

we purchased a new home that I want to change some colors of the room, I wanted it done before we moved it and Maurice came out and stayed late to make it work for us. He is very professional and is very friendly and trustworthy! Would use him again in a heartbeat, actually have already referred him to two people that need painting done!!

Maurice, with Make Over Home Improvement, was very professional and experienced, and painted some property that I needed to make ready for my son and his fiancee.. He showed up when scheduled, developed a plan, was very reasonable and completed the project in a timely manner. Maurice painted a (3 bedroom, 2 bath ranch), including closets, ceilings and trim, and custom made shutters. In addition, Maurice completed other work (problems with a leak in kitchen sink, and rehung the custom made shutters to my satisfaction). Maurice also took down a cornice board and other outdated window treatments, and repaired any holes in the walls. Maurice was a perfectionist and took pleasure to ensure that the job was done right. He has a very pleasant personality and great work ethics. I highly recommend Make Over Home Improvement, and I will be calling Maurice to paint and complete some major renovation projects in my personal home.

Mr Robins came out and hung several of my personal art / pictures for me. Everything was perfect!

DO NOT USE THIS Makeover Home Improvement for any project. I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for painting and he was the provider. I should have known when he came 2 hours late to review what i wanted painted, that he did not have the courtesy of a phone call or email that he would be late. I should have known then that this project was with them was in trouble. He arrived around 8 PM that evening for the walk-thru when he said he would be over between 5 and 6 PM. During this walk-thru he told me he would start the work on Monday, July 20th. He never showed up. Not even the courtesy of a phone call or a message again. i had tried contacting him 3 times the week before his committed start date of July 20th, but he would not get back to me. I would strongly recommend you not using Maurice and Makeover Home Improvement for any project.

That work is going good. We are going to add on probably getting the gutters cleaned. He had to bring in another person for some of the woodwork that he can't do but his brother can. And so, we were talking. His brother came in and looked at it and he will probably come out next week. He's going to do some staining on the deck once he gets it built. He's also going to have to do some pressure washing. It's going to take him a long time to get it done because it's a lot of work.

We were very impressed with them. They were excellent and would recommend them to everyone. They were also very personable.

Contacted makeover home repair through Angies list message. Received a reply quickly and exchanged contact information to schedule a date. Marcus arrived on schedule to provided an estimate which was very reasonable. I accepted the estimate with the work to be done a week out. Marcus arrived as promised to do the work which had to be spread over 2 days as the decks had to dry form the pressuring washing before applying the stain. Marcus and his assistant di an excellent job and allowed me the time to thoroughly inspect the work before accepting payment. My wife and I are very happy with how everything turned out. Maurice is a really nice guy and professional and went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied with the work. We will definitely recommend Make-Over and he will be the firstcall for additional work when ready to have that work done.

It did not. We contacted Mr. Robins and was told he could handle the job but needed to call back the next day to schedule. Mr. Robins late the evening prior after we specified specific hours. Once we called Mr. Robins back on three difference occasions we did not and have not received a response. We used another Handyman service to meet our request.

Initially contacted makeover home repair through angies list. Received a reply quickly and exchanged contact information to schedule a date. Had to reschedule because of weather, but he always kept me informed. Maurice gave me a price that was extremely fair, and did an excellent job. Maurice pressure washed the back porch, stained the front and back porch and repainted the banister and spindles on the front porch. He also suggested to patch up the dry rot on the garage and repainted the garage doors. Finally, Maurice properly installed our new mailbox . We couldnt be happier with how everything turned out. Maurice is very friendly and professional and went out of his way to accommodate us. We will definitely recommend and he will be the first call with any future projects. Dont waste time with someone else. He does GREAT work at very reasonable prices.

He was wonderful. He did an excellent job. He was on time. Very professional. Cleaned up after himself. Nice, professional painter. I really enjoyed getting to know him.

A window in the house was broken and I needed a total of 4 windows boarded up immediately. It was late in the afternoon so I tried several companies including ones that advertised 24 hr emergency services but could not reach anyone by phone. I called Make-Over Home Improvement and Maurice said that he could board up the windows the same day but it would be late because he was working over an hour away. I told him to come on. ( I didn't even ask for a price since this was an emergency.) He said he would have to stop and pick up some plywood and would then be there. Maurice was considerate about the price of materials and was going to purchase the less expensive light weight plywood. He checked with me first and I told him I wanted the more expensive heavy duty plywood. He brought the cut sheets of plywood to the house, trimmed them to fit the windows and installed them. To improve security, he used Torx screws which require a special tool to remove them. He brought the receipt showing the price of the materials ($55.00). I was absolutely stunned when he only charged $40.00 for the labor. I was so pleased with the price that I included a 25% tip. I have already scheduled the company for more work. I am an engineer and have very high standards for quality of work performed.

Maurice was prompt professional and produced great quality results. My front door was stuck and jammed when I tried to open and close. Maurice identified the issue and fixed the problem within an hour. I will definitely use his services for future repairs.

While it was a bit difficult to initially 'connect', once we had a schedule things progressed smoothly although the painter had to put off the initial start due to a family medical emergency. Since I am retired and in no real hurry, this did not really bother me. The painter DID keep me informed, however. The painter did an excellent job and gave me 'value+' for my waiting. They were very friendly and professional and I was pleased with the result.

I contacted 3 other plumbers before calling Maurice of Make-Over Home Improvement. Each one was more expensive than the previous. I couldn't believe that they were quoting me from $300-$450 to do this job. I decided to bypass "plumbers" and look for a "handyman".....wise choice. The job was done professionally and it took Maurice less than 90 minutes. He actually charged me less for the entire job than what some of the "plumbers" were charging just to come out to the house! Then they would charge for labor, extra parts, and an additional $100 for every 30 minutes over an hour! I will recommend Maurice and Make-Over Home Improvement to everyone!

Maurice was punctual and very professional, and painted the walls. They put in a 10 hour day then came on Sunday and painted the trim and they stayed longer then they had too to finish the job without charging us.

Maurice knows his stuff! His pleasant personality and sharp handyman skills go well together. He prides himself in perfection and loves challenges! He did a fantastic job completing all my tasks in my house!

I never actually met Maurice in person, just spoke over the phone and he seemed nice over the phone. However, I ended up deciding to go with another company that I felt more comfortable with because they were personally referred to me.

I received confirmation of purchase from the contractor within 24 hours requesting me to call to schedule a review of the work. I did so within 24 hours, left a message and did not receive a call back for 5 days. I followed with a e-mail detailing the work requested and did receive a call back. The contractor indicated that he was working hard to honor all the customers that had responded to the deal, and thanked me for my patience. We scheduled for a meeting to review and schedule the work for the following weekend. I did not receive confirmation on the day of the scheduled meeting so texted to request confirmation, but received no reply and the contractor did not show at the scheduled time. Two days later, I have not received any attempts from the contractor to contact me. I believe that the contractor did not anticipate the level of the response and thus will not be able to fulfill the contacts in a timely manner.
