Coloredge Painting

Based on customer reviews, and at first contact I was happy that I met this contractor. However, overtime my trust in him quickly dwindled. The estimate for Painting and replacing my gutters were ok. However when it cam to repairing the deck (replacing the main support board, joists, and front railing) he quoted me $1800 citing the price of lumber (not to mention that while onsite I looked up and priced the materials which would have cost no more than $200. Additionally, he wanted to charge an extra $1200 to stain an average size deck on top of $1800 to repair the deck (you would think I asked him to replace the deck). My biggest issue with him is that he doesn't make full disclosure upfront. After waiting about 2 weeks to get an updated quote from him, he calls me the night before to say that 35% will be required upfront because he can't keep fronting every job he does. He has no problem fronting his investors job, but when it comes to individuals it seems as if he picks and chooses which job he wants to pay up front. After going back and forth on that issue, he then asks me how will I make payment, once I told him credit card he advised there would be a 3.5% convivence fee added and that the prepayment, as well as the surcharge were stated at the bottom of the quote. When I advised him that neither of theses were at the bottom of the quote he originally sent me, he decides to take a screenshot from his phone and sends it to me. The reason that this is a problem, is that previously I had asked him to put all disclosures up front, when he agreed to meet me at home depot and failed to show up due to his wife having a flat tire, but then sent a text 2 hours later. He made an effort to make up for that so I decided to continue business with him. However, I can't do business with a company that doesn't make full disclosures upfront, picks and chooses who will have to make partial payment upfront, and want to charge the cost of using a credit card to the customer. Ultimately the best decision was for us to part ways.

We just got our house repainted by Coloredge Painting. They did such a great job that I’m compelled to recommend them to my neighbors! I don’t normally do this sort of thing. After getting a few quotes from various painting company, Coloredge is lower than most of them. They we're not the cheapest but this is the second time this crew has painted my house so I trust them. I'll hire them again but what sucks though is they charged me the credit card fee, which is not on the quote. I know better now to include it in the agreement/quote.

The workers were courteous and hardworking. The job was done with professionalism, not only painting but also making small repairs. I would highly recommend them.

Coloredge painted my whole house, every exterior surface. I had a lot of wood rot and siding that needed to be replaced and with everything that was replaced you can't even tell there were any issues. The crew led by Giovanni did a great job. They were on time, cleaned up as they worked. The house looks amazing, so fresh and clean and well cared for(it wasn't). I would hire them again and would recommend them highly!
