Description of Work: Moran was fantastic. He put in a fence and a platform floor in my shed. The work was done quickly, efficiently, and ahead of schedule. My fence looks great and I can finally use my shed as a home gym. I'll definitely use Vered Renovations in the future.

Description of Work: He fixed the plumbing issue I had. I had a leak in my shower and it was leaking below me. Essentially, a screw needed to be tightened. He also gave me an estimate on remodeling my bathroom. There were about 3 other people who came out here before him and none of them did that and all of them told me it was going to be expensive.

He has now worked on removing a closet, adding molding, replacing a back door, replacing the roof, building a deck and more. He has also worked on my mother's house. Moran is on time, and does quality work for the quoted price. Great find!

Everything was done very quickly. They were very professional and took care of everything. I was very satisfied with them.

His price is fair - even when he discovered the additional repair work, he worked with us to make sure we understood without a shadow of a doubt where the additional cost was going. He always showed up on time, worked all day, and delivered impeccable results. He went above and beyond (brought in our mail while we were out of town, took down our trash). He stuck to his comittment regarding time line. I would not only trust Moran with my home repairs/renovations, I would trust him with all I have. From somebody who has worked with multiple contractors, Moran Vered is a cut above - always responsive, always fair, always friendly. My wife and I can't recommend Moran Vered highly enough.
Description of Work: Initially, we were going to have some masonry work done on a sun porch floor, new kitchen tile, etc. Our house is very old and he discovered some rotted flooring and drywall. This was due to poor plumbing in the wall of our laundry closet. He replaced the poor plumbing, the drywall, ripped up the multiple linoleum layers to our kitchen floor, jackhammered uneven cracks in our sun porch floor, laid down new cement board and title & grouted all of it.

Description of Work: Moran remodeled a friend's kitchen. My partner did the design and aesthetic policing; as a home inspector, I aided in quality control. Moran was earnest and sincere, and eager to get it right. When there was a design issue, he did not hesitate to call (ie he didn't shoot first and ask questions later.) He brought in quality subs to to do the resurfacing/painting of the cabinets and the fabrication/installation of the stone countertops and backsplash. He appears to be a good carpenter and electrician; the existing electrical was a nightmare.He was resourceful in finding appropriate materials to fit an old house. I do not know the details of the budget but I think the cost was on target at least for his labor and materials that he supplied. The kitchen is stunning; it's the same but it's not....the layout is as before, but everything is upgraded and feels wonderful. I know my friends are pleased.

Description of Work: He repaired drywall damage from a broken mirror that we took down in the bathroom. He also put a number that was in the wrong place back where it belonged on the siding next to the front door.

 + -1 moreThings went fine the day of the work; he was punctual and finished in less than 1.5 hours, including running out to get a part. He noticed a broken door handle and spent some time fixing it even though I didn't ask him to. I then realized I paid $125 an hour for his labor to fix the small leak. It seemed like a lot for what he did, but he explained that he did research and that going on a roof is dangerous, so it costs more than a typical job. I was mostly okay with that. However, I never did receive the estimate I needed for my laundry room--I kept following up and he kept saying he was "researching" cabinets. I then never heard back from him. Since responsiveness and follow-up are important to me as a customer, I looked elsewhere.
Description of Work: I contacted Moran to repair a small leak in my roof around a vent, as well as sand off the mold and paint the approximate 10" x 10" spot the leak caused. I then asked him to provide an estimate to remodel my very small laundry room and screen in my small front porch.

 + 4 moreThe price of the work was very reasonable, and work started precisely on the day promised. Moran performed most of the work himself, sometimes with one or two assistants. I was very pleased with the quality of the work, the time frame within which it was completed, and with Moran's professionalism and standards. I definitely plan on hiring him again for additional remodeling projects in the near future.
Description of Work: Moran Vered completed several projects at my home, including installing backsplash and floor tile in the kitchen, repairing walls, installing kitchen cabinets and a vent hood, building pantry shelving, sealing the basement, replacing trim around several windows and doors, repairing doors/door openings that had shifted over time (house was built in 1943), and custom building a fireplace mantle based off of a photo from a magazine.

 + 5 moreMoran is legal and everything like that. He is a younger guy in his twenties who can basically do everything; he is just not licensed. He has been great to us and has fixed and created so many things. He is so handy and he charges very fair rates. We feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful handyman and we would gladly tell others to use him because he is truly amazing.
Description of Work: Our handyman, Moran, rebuilt the floor in one of our bathrooms. He put down new tile flooring after stripping the hardwood flooring in that room. He also made some kitchen counters for us, put in light fixtures, and did carpentry work for various rooms in our cottage. He did some plumbing and electrical work also. He is a jack of all trades for us.
