They were okay and were here twice. The service went well and they fixed the issue. The quality is okay so far and the responsiveness was very good.

When I made my appt. we agreed on after 430pm. The gentleman was at my house by 445, fixed the issue (low freon) and was out by 5pm. What else could I ask for! Friendly, punctual service at a good rate. I also used the deal on here which really came in handy. Maybe I will consider keeping my account with Angie's!

They are good folks. It was $300 for the part and $50 for the thermostat. They live in the neighborhood. They were thorough and efficient. I didn't shop the price thoroughly but I thought it was a bit high. The quality of the work was fine but they had to come back to correct something after the first time but they did it willingly and quickly so everything was fine. I would certainly give them the opportunity to quote another job.

We had a heating unit put in by another company (not stone mountain) but that company didn't do a good job. It wasn't to code, wasn't working, etc. We asked Stone Mountain Heating and Air to come out and give a diagnostic what was wrong. They were able to fit us in the same day. During their diagnostic test - our heating unit actually caught fire due to the other company's work. Stone Mt. folks quickly put the fire out (and thankfully didn't let our house catch on fire) and advised what needed to be done to get it back up in service. They not only were able to do the work the same day, they were several hundred dollars below other other estimate we had received. They will be our first call now.

Description of Work: On routine pre-seasonal maintenance call by Stone Mtn heating & AC, they discovered the need to replace our compressor. We were using an AC compressor using Freton and put in place in 1992. They quickly established a policy of treatment & replacement. They removed the old compressor & establish connection with the new one. Our electric bills last summer were always over $400.00 per month. We never knew what was wrong, in fact as the AC worked we didn't think there was anything wrong. We didn't ask questions of our company and we should have.

The service visit overall was great. I liked Stone Mountain Heating & AC professionalism so much, I asked for a annual service contract. It's good to know that if I need help during the Winter months, as I have in the past, I'm covered.
Description of Work: We found this company near to us on Angie's List. We recently cancelled our old company & were searching for new company. We have a two system Heating &AC house. This company called & set up a next day appointment, two tech's came to the house. We had the most thorough examination & check of both systems. They explained the AC would be checked again next visit when closer to Summer. Right now the focus was on upcoming Winter checkup. We had no problems but chose this company to service our home via service contract. Let me stress this; they did not ask me to take a service contract; i was the one who asked them as we were so pleased with their professionalism. Thanks Angie. We have a fairly complicated dual fuel heating and A/C system. We had had intermittant furnance shut downs for a couple of weeks and had, of course, speculated endlessly as to the cause and worried about the possible cost of repairs. The problem turned out to be a damaged pressure tube. In all our speculation we never came up with this. Tony came out and fixed our furnace in less time than it took my husband to describe the symptoms of the problem. Excellent work. Very professional. Very reasonable cost. Thank you Tony!

Description of Work: They installed a furnace/AC unit last summer 2010. There were some initial issues with the installation but they were worked through. They are easy to communicate with and the problems were solved. I also have a contract for care and that has worked out well with the tech coming twice a year for furnace/ac checks.

Great experience. The personnel who put the unit in were very nice and professional. The unit was 900$ cheaper than other quotes. It's only been one day, but no problems so far. I was pleased with my experience.
