We scheduled the work and they did a great job. Today it rained for the first time since they were installed so I checked the work, and all looks good!

I had an estimate before he left and an emailed estimate within hours. When I agreed to use them, the team was here within 2 days and finished the job in 2 days. Everything looks great and I feel great about the work. The price was competitive and fair. I would definitely call them again for any roofing or gutter needs.

+ -1 moreI was very disappointed. First, they did not show up when they said they would. Apparently they came the next day unannounced when no one was home. Then they called and said that what we needed was some caulking at the edge of the dormer to fix the leak and that we could do that ourselves. They also said they do not like repairing dormer/ roof joints becuase they always leak anyway.... I am and architect and I think this is bs. I think they are too busy to deal with small jobs. So, my husband get on the roof and caulks the edge of the dormer. It worked ok for a couple of month and now it's leaking again. We still don't know the real source of the problem and our dining room ceiling is getting more damaged with each rainfall.

+ -1 moreI am really happy with the service that DeKalb Roofing provided. They were the lowest of three quotes I got, and a big reason for this was that they stock their own wood for repairs, so don't charge as much as other places that just go to Home Depot and buy it. Their crew worked nonstop for two days and cleaned up everything perfectly. I would recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: They ripped off two layers of my old roof and replaced it with new architectural shingles. They also replaced many moldy boards with new boards or with 3/4" plywood where there was a lot to replace. The reflashed around the chimney and replaced some of the vents. Also removed an extra vent that was unecessary to improve circulation.

The work was complete over a few hours. Their work was tested a few hours later by a heavy rain and we're happy to say all is well.

+ -1 moreDekalb Roofing called quickly and came out within 48-hours and repaired the missing shingles. I didn' t know what price to expect so I'm not sure if I paid a great price or not. They were great and I didn't have to be home. The guys over at Dekalb Roofing provided me with an estimate for long term roof replacement when I'm ready. A couple of weeks after their repair, a wind storm lifted the shingles they repaired. They came back out at no additional cost the day after I called and took care of it. I would recommend them and hire them again.

+ -1 moreThey came out and looked at the leak in my roof and told me that the pipe of the roof was not properly installed. They fixed it within two days. They were extremely efficient. They came and just got it done. So all in all DeKalb roofing dealt with the entire situation from estimate to fixing it in one week. They did not leave any debris. They came exactly when they said they were. They did the job in 3 hours and they left, and you could never tell that they were even there. I had a hard time figuring out they even did the job. The roof does not leak. Their office staff is also extremely efficient. When you call their office they get it done. I would recommend them as a new roof installer as one of your candidates for prizing; I would definitely put them in the line up, because I know their service is really good.

When I called the original roofer (Ridge Valley Exteriors), they promised a call back to fix the problem, but I never heard from them. After going through Angies List, I called Dekalb Roofing. They promised to have someone out by Monday (it was Thursday when I called). Since no rain was forecasted, I agreed to wait. To my very pleasant surprise, someone from Dekalb Roofing showd up the next day (Friday) and quickly fixed the problem. He was pleasant, professional and got the job done quickly.

Description of Work: The old roof was torn off and a new roof added. This was actually my husband's project although I did meet some of the other roofing contractors. I did not meet or talk with the folks from Dekalb Roofing. Hubby had used Dekalb Roofing for the previous roof on the same house and was very impressed with them. That was probably one of the reasons he hired the company again though I had heard there were new owners. Ridge vents were installed and the roof color was changed to a darker shade. The husband is very happy with the new roof and says it makes the house look elegant. I noticed on the first day of work the roofers left promptly around 5:00pm as previously requested. Upon getting home from work the second day, the grounds had been cleaned and the driveways blown. I admit the roof is an aesthetic improvement; will wait and see if the house is actually cooler in the summer with the ridge vent system.

When he inspected our roof and looked at the issues in the inspection report he discovered that all of the issues had been addressed previously (apparently the inspector did not even go on the roof). Jeff offered to write us a letter stating there were no issues with the roof. Although we offered to pay him for his time he did not charge us anything. We appreciate his honesty, integrity and professionalism and we would recommend Dekalb Roofing to friends.

+ 0 moreDekalb Roofing is one of the finest roofing companies in the metro area. From quote to finish they were completely professional. Their quote was much lower than other established roofers, and they were using the same GAF Timberline shingles. They replaced all rotted decking and all of the old venting pipes. The crew even came out the following day to make sure there wasn't any debris left on site. They were punctual and efficient, and even called on the first day to say that arrival was delayed a few minutes by traffic! I had used this company many years ago, and in the intervening years Robert has come out several times to do minor repairs. He is truly an honest and reputable guy.
