Well, I was in a state of clutter that had accumulated over the years and many moves. I live in a small condo and wanted to change the energy of the master bedroom and office, as I work from home. I reached out to Terri, she responded and we set a date for a first consultation. From that point on, tremendous progress was achieved in short order. There was no haggling over what to keep and what to donate, and what to trash. Her compassion, eye for detail, and appropriate questions about the value of an item helped me to make decisions quickly and without emotionalism. Each time Terri came to my condo, we had a list of what needed to be accomplished and quickly set about eliminating the chores on that list. By the time the session was over, detritus was labeled, packed, and ready for donation and/or outright disposal. Terri also has a great network of resources and people who she can recommend for any services outside of the scope of her business. She is a wonderful asset to the small business community. One thing I would say is to be clear that you are ready to move that mountain out of your home. Be ready to let go of some things that have been around so long, they are practically part of the woodwork you don't even SEE. Be ready to listen to her wise counsel, and be ready for the sense of complete relief and accomplishment you will feel after your sessions with her are over.

Description of Work: Terri was extremely helpful when my Mother was moving to Fla & we needed to not only down size her belongings but declutter her desk & boxes & boxes of old papers, photos, etc. Terri is very professional & trusting. Terri works well with the elderly, knowing how hard it can be for them to let items go. I would never have been able to accomplish as much as she did in the short time we had to complete the move. Terri went out of her way to research auto transports, and to connect me with another organizer in Fla that could help unpack & get my mother settled in since I could not get off work. I highly recommend her & her fee was well worth the service she provided.

I contracted with Terri to help me organize my home office and she was great. My office went from piles to very clean system. She always showed up on time and worked diligently to meet my scheduling demands. We spent three total sessions and about 16 hours working through my files and making keep / don't keep decisions. She has a very methodical process which was helpful in my case. You have to furnish all of the supplies or she will buy them for you. She was flexible to work with "my" system and needs. She simply did not force me into something that works for her. Overall, I thought it was very helpful to me. I think the price is a bit high for what she does; however, now that our sessions are over, I am much more productive in my office and have no piles on my desk.
Description of Work: Home office organization including organizing my supply closets, cabinets, pendaflex files, floor space and desktops. She relabeled all files and worked with me to devise a system that works for me.

Overall our project was well thought out, and working alongside Terri prompted my husband and I to really purge the items that no longer fit in the space rather than hanging on to them "just in case". The cost of the project was actually less than I had imagined. I think the toughest part of a project like this is just knowing where to start and jumping in. The time it takes to really clear out and organize a garage can be as little as 3 or 4 hours. Get some help, check out new products. It made the difference for us.
Description of Work: After living in our home for 4 years, we decided to have the basement professionally finished. We had most items casually placed around the 1600 square foot basement prior to the project. Afterwards we would be limited to about 150 square feet of storage in the mechanincal room. Following construction we pretty mcuh just dumped everything into the space. We found it impossible to find or access the things we needed. I made a quick call to Terri Stephens at Real Order who had helped us on a couple of previous occasions. We spent some time in the space, deciding on what should stay, what should go, and what should be stored in a better location. We started to clear out the space and organize as much as possible with our existing storage shelves. Terri then provided a few books and marketing brochures with pictures of storage options. I decided to hire Spacemakers for some additional wall storage in the garage and basement. The first part of the process took about 4 hours. Be prepared..Terri will really get you working! Phase two. Terri and I met with Spacemakers and agreed to a design. I had spent some time drawing up a general plan in advance for them to work from. Phase two took another hour. Phase three. Spacemakers installed the wall storage about a week later. My husband and I were able to arrange most of the items in about an hour. Terri stopped by the following week and we put some finishing touches on the space.
