Thanks to this company, we have been without a dryer for 3 weeks. Told us they ordered a part, and they didn't. Still waiting...

When the technician leaves her home the next business day the part is ordered through the warranty company and they use their supplier sometimes it is on back order, sometimes it is not available, sometimes they want to rebuild a part & we have to follow the guidelines and rules that the warranty company gives us and unfortunately the Customer suffers because there waiting for the warranty company to find the part or make a decision on replacing the unit.

Jones came out, diagnosed my problem and said they would have to order a clutch to fix the washer. After waiting weeks (with no washer), I finally called them and kept getting the run-around. Even later, they told me they had to come back to my house because they had the wrong part number. AHS called me later and stated they had the right part number. I asked for a replacement contractor since Jones was delaying (it had been a month at this point). I told Jones that I wanted my money refunded since they never returned to fix the washer and they were telling AHS that it was my fault. They refused and kept blaming me - the customer. They are not nice and they lie. Look at the Georgia BBB website and they did this to another customer and tried to blame it on the customer. Looks like a pattern of a bad contractor. I would advise consumers to stay away from this company. They never did return my money. I'm going to file another Georgia BBB complaint.
Description of Work: Jones Family Appliance Repair was a subcontractor for American Home Shield (AHS). They were dispatched to my home to repair a washing machine.

We order all parts through the warranty company which then they send out from the suppliers warehouse, If we received a wrong part we were not lying to you because we do not get paid until the job is complete. We would not purposely hold a part and not finish a service call. Parts company & warehouses do make mistakes and send out wrong parts. Unfortunately the customer that suffers because now they have to wait to get the correct part through the warranty company again. We do explain this to them but they are upset and want to blame someone. The warranty company collects service fee and they are responsible for refunding it, we do not get paid anything until the job is complete

he was rude, he did minimal work fixed the rollers only. and when the dryer stlll made a squealing sound he came back out to check but by that time the dryer had been used once and the noise was not there. so he told me to take a video and call him back and the next morning the noise was there and I made a video of my turning on the dryer and the noise was there. instead of comming back out to figure out what the noise was never returned my call or text they said they were unable to fix it and did not warranty the call. Jones family appliance is not a brick and mortor business but a one person and wife working out of an appartment or condo at 9401 Roberts Drive. Sandy Springs GA, How do i know this, I lived at the apartment complex 10 years ago. I would not recommend Jones Family Applicances it is not able to fix high end products or at least Siemens Bosch. The company is a service provider for American Home Shield who authorized the work order, I am being billed another $75.00 service fee because of them not even verifying the issue first . if it was a distance issue, ... well its not i am 3 miles from thier location and only a mile or less as the crow flies!
Description of Work: was out to fix my dryer because it was making noise, did minimal repair and said I had to clean out the lint from "inside" the dryer, yet the only way for that to be done is to take the dryer apart. I also asked if he was able to service Siemens Bosch Laundry appliances and he said yes

We have never in the 9 years of business lived at this address or anywhere near Roswell, you may have the wrong Company. Warranty Companies do not cover noise in any appliance only if it malfunctions if the tech tried to resolve the noise that was him just trying to help you out.

NEVER CALLED ME BACK ABOUT MY PROBLEM.
Description of Work: The guy accessed my oven and NEVER GOT BACK WITH ME! I've called over and over to ask that I at least get a return phone call and yet NOTHING! I have given them every opportunity to call me but nothing. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!

They did really well. They were professional and showed up on time. They were very thorough and find the thing that was needed to be found. Whatever it was, they made sure that they did it right.
