Description of Work: This visit was a service call where Steven came out to prepare my heating and air unit for the really cold months. This is my second year of using Ragsdale, and I am more than happy with them - from their customer service in the office to the quality of work done in the field. There may be other companies that are cheaper, I don't know, but I feel that Ragsdale does a great job for the money, and Steven Smith is very thorough and professional.

Description of Work: I have been using Ragsdale for a few years now for both my current residence and my previous residence that has been a rent house for almost 10 years. I have maintenance contracts for each house that I pay every 6 months, which includes a really detailed cleaning and inspection. I wouldn't guess they are the cheapest around but for reliability I consider them a really good value. My latest experience was for the rent house. The tenants called me to report the heat went out the day before during a cold snap. I called them and they were there the same afternoon, diagnosed the problem, called me regarding my options for a 13 year old unit, ordered the parts and finished the next day. Happy tenant, happy reluctant landlord.

Description of Work: This was a maintenance call on my hvac system so there was no charge for this trip. I have used Ragsdale's for a number of years. They installed my system several years ago. I have a yearly maintenance plan and they do maintenance twice a year. This is an exceptional company. I have never gotten anyone that was not professional.

Description of Work: Our heat pump died on New Years day during one of the coldest winters in the last few years. We called some local company who came out and looked at it. They said it was dead but that we would be ok because it would switch over to emergency heat. Tthis was a 10 yr old top of the line 5 ton Trane installed by our contractor who was also a Trane dealer. Still no heat. We called Ragsdale and they sent Steven. He discovered that we had no emergency heat because the genius that installed our system had never connected the wires. Steven connected them,and we bought our new system from Ragsdale. Steven is the greatest! Customer service great, all employees we have had contact with were great. We get regular service on our unit and always request Steven. We highly recommend Ragsdale Heating and Air.

Description of Work: We returned home from a short trip to find our downstairs furnace was on but with no heat. Early the next morning I called Ragsdale to learn that they were booked for the day, but they would do their best to work us in by day's end. In less than two hours they called to advise that a technician would be headed our way within 45 minutes. The technician called within 15 minutes stating he would be here in 20 minutes and indeed he was. He found the cracked ignitor quickly, quoted a fair repair cost & repaired within less than an hour. I had already purchased a complete Trane A/C & furnace system from them in May of 2010. I highly recommend Ragsdale. I plan to replace my complete downstairs system in 2014. No doubt I will be turning to Ragsdale for first quote.
