I checked out several places for carpet for one room. I didn't know what I wanted but I wasn't willing to settle as we were replacing cheap carpet in the first place. It is very overwhelming trying to pick out carpet and only having just the small sample to try to visualize your whole space in. What is nice about LightWorks/Floorworks is they have a showroom with big swatches of carpet on their floor so you can see how the types look on the floor. They told me what they have down now will be coming up soon and they are replacing with new styles. My first visit there went just okay. I was helped by a nice man who helped me pick out some samples and I took them home (free of charge). Back at my place I was also looking at Lowes, Capet Depot and Trout Carpet samples. Still couldn't decide. Upon returning my samples to LWFW I was helped by the fabulous Rebecca Palmer! This time I found a sample I loved! After a few days I made my final decision. I called the order in on a Thursday and she said it would be there Friday! Fabulous!! But since they don't know what time the truck would be in the install would probably be on Monday. So Monday it was and I was so pleased! The carpet looks great and it was so quick. Lowes had one I was considering.

They had to come back a couple of times for some lifting issues. They did a good job. One time, they came out to fix one problem, but then it another problem. There were delays in between. They took care of everything. They came the next day itself even though they had other jobs. I don't remember them taking off the work and they just sitting there. I would give them an opportunity to bid some other work in the future.

I contacted floor works to get an estimate on flooring. Immediately Jason called me back and scheduled a time to come measure the house (at not charge). He arrived early but first called to make sure it was ok that he was early. He measured the house then told us to stop by the showroom to pick out the flooring. There was a lot of flooring to choose from and it all looked very expensive which kind of scared us so we picked something out and went to home depot to get a second quote. The price at home depot for a very generic looking floor was almost 5k for the materials alone! At that point we decided that we would just have to live with the old flooring. A couple days later we get the final quote from Jason... $4, 400 installed! What a deal! Fortunately for us we found someone to do the floors for free so we decided not to use Floor Works. But if you are looking for high quality flooring for less I would recommend Floor Works.
