JC was wonderful. He came to the house we are under contract with to check out a leak that we thought was coming from the bathroom above the garage. The seller of the house said his contractors could not find the leak, so I wanted a second opinion- obviously water doesn't just appear. After reviewing the bathroom plumbing above, JC detected that it was actually coming from the roof. He found the path of how water was coming in from the front of the house, and into the garage. I was so relieved from his diagnoses and it made complete sense. I wasn't going to accept that the seller's contractors didn't find anything and just wanted to patch the wet sheet rock. He also checked the plumbing of the newly remodeled kitchen sink, and found a studor vent that was missing. Glad I jumped on Angie's List and found these guys. JC was right on time, very professional, let me ask a ton of questions, and made sure I understood what needed to be done. Will definitely use again.

It was a big job and about 8 feet of pipe needed to be repaired. My house is very old and only about 2 feet off the ground. The younger and smaller of the two workers had to do the work. I am very grateful he charged me the lowest side of the estimate and I will use them again.

Robie and his team provided excellent service all around. When analyzing the problem, he used his equipment to show me exactly the where the pipe was broken, and how deep it was (12 feet). They showed up early the next day to dig the hole and replace the section of broken pipe. They worked all day and finished around 5 pm. During each step of the way, Robie would explain what was happening and let me test that all was again working correctly before they finished up. The prize he quoted prior to starting the job was exactly what I ended up paying. I have recommended them to friends and would not hesitate to contact them again with any future plumbing needs.

We had a sewer leak with sewage into the basement. We called and they came the next day, on a weekend. The plumber was smart, professional, capable. He gave us a clear explanation of what needed to happen and what it would cost. He also looked at the basement we want to finish and gave us great ideas for how to add a bathroom. His team were wonderful about our landscaping. They tried to move the bushes I wanted to keep, and dug up the ones I was planning to get rid of. They did a wonderful job and I plan to use them to do the basement remodel.

Excellent! I received an unusually high water bill in July (~$300 vs $30) and when I called about it, was advised by the City of ATL that I probably had a broken water main. I made a number of calls to Angie's List-ed plumbers and was not very successful; the usual response was "we don't do that". I called Atlantis and they sent a representative here to give me a quote, and I thought it was pretty decent: ~ $3300. Then another rep showed up, but was not very encouraging. He said they'd have to substantially reroute the main around the house and into the crawlspace, rather than the existing straight shot from meter to main. After a while, he asked me what other quotes I'd gotten; when I told him $3260, he replied that he wouldn't even do the job for $7000! At that point, there was no question in my mind and I engaged Atlantis. Bryan and Cody came to do the job on a really hot and humid day. Initially they jackhammered through to where the leak was, but couldn't do the repair there, due to physical limitations; but after a while they figured it out. There was a sidewalk, wall, and steeply sloping front yard to contend with; and the way my house is situated, any digging would have to be done by hand. To make a long, hot, dirty, sweaty day short, they busted up the sidewalk and later patched it, and installed the new main. They also had to dig a tunnel (due tolow clearance) in the crawlspace to cap off the old main at the far end of the house. They were both very kind and friendly, and worked nonstop all day; it was not an easy job. It ended up costing me a lot more than quoted, but the underlying situation was not as simple (relatively) as it appeared to the rep who gave me the estimate. I would recommend these guys for sure; they were terrific!

Atlantis Plumbing spent time to find where leak was coming from. Condensation drain from attic air conditioner unit was not working right. They provided great fix for problem so we could replace insulation and repair ceiling above shower. We evidently had slow leak for awhile and did not know there was a problem until we started getting mold on the ceiling. Tracking down leak and getting fixed took almost 2 hrs. Very pleased with their service.

the initial estimate of cost was $1700, but once the subcontractor had completely destroyed the flowerbed and landscaping in front of the house he showed me how the pipe out to the street had developed a sag of the years and had standing water in the pipe. the estimate to replace the pipe all the way out to the city pipe jumped to $3500. but what was i going to do? have half the job done and still have the issue. I agreed to the additional work and additional cost and asked the contractor to keep as much of the yard intact as possible - this last request was completely ignored - not only did he tear up my entire front yard he damaged my neighbor's landscaping AND left a rut in my neighbor's yard when he drug the remains of my tree (which had to be dug up in order to get to the pipe) into my back yard. I asked him about the damage caused and he said he would take care of it - his idea of taking care of it was to put hay on top of it. this work was done at the end of October so there was not much i could do to replace the lawn until spring. 6 months of a dirt yard. the contractor also left several large scrapes in my driveway from the back hoe he used to dig up the yard. I would not recommend this company or anyone they contract with

[Member name removed], Considering this work was done over 11 months ago I cannot come out and look at the yard. The office has no notes of any complaints about the yard or work completed. The house was backed up on the first trip and tree roots came into the pipe next to the house at the bushes, where the line had broken off completely.. After removing the roots at the house, we were able to camera inspect the rest of the line. More roots were found at the tap connection. We proposed an option to replace the entire line after discovering more roots at the tap connection. We could have not checked the rest of the line but wanted to make sure no more problems were found. There was a large tree over the pipe and the connection to the street. We hauled off the tree limbs and dragged the rest of the tree to the backyard as the customer wanted the tree for firewood (if I remember correctly), we would have otherwise thrown away the tree through the front yard. We normally do not take down trees and haul them off, but we tried making the job convenient. The front yard of the house was very small and the sewer was very deep. The houses in the neighborhood are less than 20 feet apart and probably less than 1000SF of area that can grow grass, of that 1000 SF of grass only about 400 SF had grass growing the rest was bald down to clay and poorly maintained. The shrubs at the house were nice and the tree in the yard was nice but they were directly on top of the sewer line. The driveway was already cracked in multiple spots and had scratches. Google maps still has a full color picture of the yard prior to starting the work. We cannot dig a small narrow hole and risk one of the men dying in your front yard, because the hole was not wide enough to prevent a trench wall collapse. Unfortunately there was no way to do a trenchless replacement due to settlement and root damage. Three times as much work was done than originally proposed and the price was approximately double. We only quoted correcting the problem that we were able to locate and the second repair could have waited, but the chance of having 2 major breaks on a 20 year old PVC line is rare, the original install when the house was constructed was just done poorly. If the line was not PVC, we may have quoted a replacement from the start, but we quoted only what we could originally see on the sewer camera. No one likes to have their yard dug up for a full sewer line replacement. Perhaps, we should have been more clear about the landscaping but there was no choice give the small size of the yard. No one wants to dig a trench through their front yard, but everyone wants a working main sewer line. I do not think there was anyway to leave the front yard where you would have been completely happy with the way it looked. The sewer failed in October and not April, so I cannot control the grass and plant growing season in Georgia. If you would have told me the yard looked rough in the end of 2013 I would have gladly sent the guys over there to smooth out the yard. If there is anything I can do let me know. Good plumber and responded relatively quickly on a holiday weekend. His price to sweat a pipe was a bit high, but it was an emergency and a Saturday on Memorial Day weekend. It took him :27 minutes from diagnostic to completion, and materials were minimal (solder, heat, flux, and 50¢ copper cap). I would get a quote if I used him again. I feel like I got the "I know you're desperate" price, but it was either him or my wife with a blowtorch. We both won.

Woke up to find water dripping from my basement ceiling. Called at 7AM and plumber was there by about 10AM. They called 30 minutes before arrival as they said they would. The leak was from an upper floor so it required locating the leak which was probably the hardest part, cutting holes in the sheet rock, etc. Once the leaking water pipe was found the water the house was shut off, the bad joint was cut out and a new section of pipe was put in. Atlantis provided sheet rock referral and water damage referral. They did an excellent job all around and I would recommend them.

They did a great job. They are punctual. They explained everything and they were able to complete the work pretty quickly. He got here and the water heater was running. He even flushed the old water heater to make sure that I needed a new one but he didn't charge me for flushing the old one. He got the new water heater and came right back and installed it. I think they were good and the price is fair.

Hello, I have reviewed the situation to the best I can without talking with you. The Christmas holiday when the call first came in and the month of January 2014 and the start of February 2014 was not a good time to be a plumber. We were short staffed due to the holiday and then the temperatures dropped and pipes started freezing. We had enormous call volume from homes and businesses flooding due to frozen plumbing. I worked myself and the plumbers for endless weeks for long hours. The local distributors ran out of repair inventory due to low temperatures, high demand for repair parts and then the icy roads. I'm sorry the toilet repair did not meet your price expectation and on the first trip on the holiday we did not have the matching part from what I could tell. Doing complete rebuilds versus partial rebuilds of toilets is somewhat subjective from plumber to plumber, but generally the porcelain does not go bad but the rubber seals can rot, the bolts can rust and the moving parts can wear out. I looked at the invoices and would be glad to discuss with you and get your side of what happened. Please call me when you get a chance and I will make an adjustment to the invoice. Thanks, Mike Whitman, Atlantis Plumbing. Office: 770-505-8570, Cell: 678-634-3775

I got in over my head installing a new dishwasher. The supply lines weren't set up correctly for the new one, and the pipes were behind drywall in a new room in the basement. Jackie and Barry came and quickly figured out how to get a supply line to the new dishwasher where it needed to be. They showed up very quickly after my initial call and had the job done in about two hours. Both guys were nice and courteous, and I was pleased with the final result.
