I have a home warranty. Charles Pierce is a contractor for 2-10 Home Warranty. My heat was not working and it was very cold...in the 20's. The warranty company had deemed my repair high importance due to the temperatures. Charles showed up at 8:30pm on Thursday, Dec 27th. He could not do anything as my system is in a dark place and he couldn't evaluate. I will say my first experience with him is that he was rude to me first off. I tried to understand as I figured he probably headed over my way late that evening after an already long day, so I didn't say anything to him. He said he'd be back the next day. The next day, he showed up at my home at 3:30pm on a Friday afternoon and was again rude. I remember walking across my lawn to go to my neighbor's house to drop off something and he was sitting in his truck and he yells across the lawn for me to come over to him. He just has a very rude way about him. He is not a friendly fellow. I had attempted to be pleasant, but he simply isn't the type of person you can talk with. It was very odd. Unfortunately, due to his showing up so late on Friday, the parts needed could not actually be shipped that day. Since he hadn't received the repair authorization from the warranty company yet when he left my home, he told me he would let me know when the parts were actually ordered and an ETA for repairs. He did not call. In fact, other than 4 times me calling him on Saturday and finally getting an answer during which he told me he did get the RA and the parts were ordered late Friday and that He told me they would be in Thur or Fri of the following week, I wouldn't have even known that anything. From that day forward, I did not hear one thing from this contractor. I left him repeated messages to follow up on the repair date. I was left to continually call the warranty company to get any kind of updates and he was not responsive to them much either. It was on Monday, January 7th that I finally called 2-10 and told them I wanted a different contractor to come out and repair my system. I was simply tired of having to spend my time calling the warranty company and/or leaving messages for this utterly non-communicative, non-responsive company. It is now 1/8/2013 and I still do not have heat. I fully feel that had Ace Pierce in the least COMMUNICATED with me on the progress of the repair, delivery, order or anything with my situation, this would not have been so terrible. However, I would not recommend this company to ANYONE ever. When this man finally called me back yesterday, I informed him that I had already called the warranty company and let them know that I did not want him doing my repairs. His poor customer service and terrible responsiveness were the reason. He literally LOST IT and was VERY verbally abusive. He was absolutely unprofessional and rude. I made the right decision. Had he actually done the repair and I needed any warranty work on his repair, I probably never would have received service. Do yourselves a favor and do NOT call this company to do any repairs and if your warranty company tells you they are referring Ace Pierce as their contractor, tell them NO...this guy is not who you want at your home!
Description of Work: My heat went out on 12/26/12.
