Hired GA Septic to come and pump out our septic tank. The utilities came out last week to mark the lines. . Johnny started digging, upsetting a hornets nest in the process and was stung. After spraying he resumed the digging to discover a gas line over the lid of the tank. He called 811 and waited for them to send out a gas rep Fortunately, the line in question was not active and Johnny again resumed the inspection. Johnny found roots In the tank which caused issues with tank efficiency. The roots needed to be cleaned out and a bio kit was used as tank was over full. Johnny was great. He was a trooper when stung and patiently waited for gas company to arrive. I would definitely recommend GA septic, Johnny specifically for cleaning, inspection or repair.

Experienced some back flow in the basement level, Called Reliable Rooter and they were out the same day. Johnny Privett arrived on-time with all necessary machinery. Soon the septic tank was clear and pumped of 25 years of the previous owners sludge and solids. Johnny then cleaned and pumped the drainage fields and ensured they were also working correctly. He worked quickly and had the back yard septic site back in order by the end of the day. Two weeks later we had a separate blockage on the input side and even on a Sunday, Reliable Rooter (Johnny) came out and cleared the blockage on the input side. During the initial call in the morning provider suggested that the crew with the truck would stop by in a couple of houses. They eventually showed up at 6:30pm and we agreed to postpone the work to the next morning due to the onset of rain. Quoted rate for the pumping was $189 plus environmental fees for a total of around $210 Unfortunately I was not there myself when the work was done the next day. Provider pumped the tank, then created a high pressure situation for my wife by suggesting extra services due to "excessive sludge and water in the tank". My wife is on disability and had a hard time dealing with it and I tried to take it on remotely from work..I talked with the crew on the phone, but did not see the invoice until I cam home. Through high pressure tactics and creating stress the provider talked us into spending $2070 for what was essentially a septic tank pumping job and outlet baffle Tee replacement. This included Pump: $189 Overfill: $161 Pump drain field: $225 Replace outlet baffle Tee: $360 Liquid live bacteria: $1070 Environmental fee: $12 Fuel surcharge: $18.50 The charge for the baffles seems to be on the high side of average. The two extra charges for overfill and drain field pumping are questionable and did not take me long to find out that the GA department of health, who licenses septic tank pumpers in Georgia does recommends against the addition of expensive bacterial in their section for unethical business practices as they typically are unnecessary. Overall I recommend against using this provider and I find their business practices and professional ethics highly questionable.
