+ -1 moreThey arrived around 9:00 AM, and started by measuring the windows (four odd sizes the rest were standard). They made a pattern for the standard window and started cutting the metal; although there was some minor deviation in each window once they had the pattern each window was "Custom Fit" - no wood was left exposed. They set up their "Break" which allowed them to bend the metal to conform to their patterns and went to work. After encasing the window frame and sill in aluminum they calked all the seams so no moisture can penetrate. My windows are maintenance free and very attractive in as much as the "PVC Coil" has a wood grain texture. We were plagued with rain a couple of days but the job was thorough and I'm VERY satisfied and whole heartedly endorse their efforts and recommend them. Oh, it took about a week. As far as "Don'ts" try to pick a season with minimal rainfall.
Description of Work: Dan & Lisa came to the house, inspected the work site, told me the materials they would need (they would provide or I could purchase from my choice of supplier) and told me what their fee would be. I procured the required metal cover (PVC coil) for the 18 windows and 3 door frames, the caulk, and nails. Home Depot was the most convenient source.My house is vinyl sided; however, the windows had not been treated - plain wood requiring painting on a regular basis. I got tired of doing that to my cape cod so Dan & Lisa's Magic Touch provided their touch.
