They did a good job of cutting down the trees. Even came back later when I called them to cut the stump shorter. Very Happy with their service.

Great from beginning to end. They ground 5 stumps plus roots and pulled 1 stump out because it was too close to utility lines to grind. They were prompt, professional, knowledgable and courteous through the entire process. I definitely recommend them.

John and his team removed a pine treen (approximately 110 ft tall and 25 inches in diameter) which had to be carried by hand from its location in the rear of our home to the front for chipping and haul away. They arrived promptly at 7:30 am as stated in our preliminary discussions and were removing branches from the tree within 30 minutes. They were efficient,.courteous and respected any requests we had, as the job progressed. They were careful to avoid damaging walkways, shrubbery and a fountain located nearby. They did a thorough job of removing debris and cleaning up - to include dressing the site with pinestraw.. They worked steadily and completed the job in approximately 3 hours. We found this company to be a pleasure to deal with and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Service went well. Inspection of property done a few days before the work was completed. Reached agreement on what work was to be done at that time. Crew showed up as scheduled and did the work that was agreed upon. Cleaned up after themselves. No complaints.

I chose Yellow Ribbon Tree Service after looking at a few others. Their quote was competitive and they had been referred to me by my inlaws who were pleased with some work they had done. John had to initially re-schedule the estimate visit due to the storms in the area leading to some emergency work, but he called promptly and we got it rescheduled. His large team arrived on the scheduled day right on time and knocked all the work out, including a thorough clean up, in less than four hours. I will definitely call John the next time I need tree work done.

We had a single pine tree that was killed from pine beetles. It was very close to our house; in particular my 18 month old's room so time was of the essance. They beat the price of others and were able to squeeze me into their schedule to take down the dangerous tree. I wasn't home during hte work, but when I came back, the yard and property was so clean you wouldn't have known anyone removed a tree. Well done.

I could not be more pleased with Yellow Ribbon Tree Experts. Gary Robertson (owner) responded to my request for a quote the day I called. He walked my property listening to my needs, gave some feedback, and gave me a very good quote. He scheduled the work to be done within the week to co-ordinate with my schedule. He and his crew of 6+ men arrived at the agreed upon time, began the work which included the removal of two very large trees as well as trimming and pruning the rest, and finished it within a few hours. (Other quotes indicated that this was a full day of work for their teams.) The crew cleaned up everything, They even dug out some plants growing around one of the trees to be removed and then replanted the plants once the tree was removed and the stump was ground. I have never had any workmen be so efficient and thorough. I would recommend this company to anyone. It was a pleasure to do business with Gary and Yellow Ribbon Tree Experts.

Could not have been more pleased. John promised early Wednesday morning and by 8am he had 12 men on site and all working by 8:15. I have had tree work done in the past and generally it was 2, 3---maybe 4 for the entire crew and rarely was there real foreman on site. With Yellow Ribbon it looked like an entire logging crew was quickly addressing what most every other tree company I talked with told me would be at least a two day job. John was on site the entire day and by late afternoon they had completed my job and cleaned up everything as you like to see. I already have them scheduled to come back and do more work. After my experience with Yellow Tree, I no longer have to figure out who to call should I need Any level of tree work. Terrific job.

Gary and his crew have done work at my home multiple times, he is honest and reliable. I don't even consider calling anyone else.

They were supposed to come and give me a free estimate to cut down a tree and grind the stump. They never showed up for our appointment or called. I scheduled this appointment for his convenience, not mine, and he didn't have the courtesy to call and say he wasn't going to come.

Easy to work with, fast and friendly. Worked around our schedule and cleaned up nicely.

Gary Robertson came to check my trees at my request and tell me what he thought needed to be done. He is very personable and patiently answered all my questions, told me exactly what they would be doing, and told me he would call as to the date and time. The date and time were set and he and his crew were here when they said. It was amazing to watch them all work so quickly and efficiently. When they were done, everything was cleaned up, carted off, or shredded. I am very pleased with what was done and will have them back to check on and take care of my trees as needed.

Called Yellow Ribbon to get a quote, and they sent John (their GM) out for the estimate a few days later. We walked the yard a bit, and I told him what I wanted done. He was receptive, but more insistent on doing things his way than what I was asking for though. For example, I asked about trimming our Dogwood back from the house, and he recommended taking out the entire trunk that was closest to the house. He also suggested taking off a lot more of the Ornamental Cherry than just pruning, trimming, and minor shaping (his definition was halving and rounding). With him being the expert about it, I said OK to his suggestions. After going over everything, he gave me the figure and gave me a bit of the hard sell (OK, I'll drop it down to X. Will you schedule/sign today?). Between the time he gave me the original quote to the time he left, the price dropped almost $200. I still told him I'd need to consider it a bit more. So, he thanked me and left at the point. The estimate was itemized, which I really appreciated, since the other estimates we received seemed to just be figures pulled out of thin air. Later that day, I called the YRTE office to ask them a few questions (proof of liability/workers comp insurance, general job questions, etc). I was told the proof would be sent by 6pm that evening (Friday). It wasn't, but turns out they sent it to the wrong email address. I did eventually get it though, so not a huge deal there. After speaking to the office, I called back John and asked him if he could come down on the estimate at all. They were the last quote we received, and were the most expensive of them all. I told him I know some of that expense was for the workers comp insurance (which the other companies did not have) which was why I didn't ask him to match the lower quotes, but their price was still very high. So, he came down another $50. I thanked him, and faxed them back the estimate/work order contract the next morning. John and the crew (5 person) were on time for the scheduled day and got all the work done within a couple of hours. Most of the job was completed to what we discussed and met expectations. I was please with most of the work that they did. I was also very pleased at the clean-up as well, as they were very diligent in making sure the yard looked as it did when they arrived. However, there were a few items I was disappointed with: - A large branch (6 inch diameter, at least 7 feet long) of the ornamental cherry was hanging about 4 feet over the garage (one of the reasons I wanted it removed). When they cut said branch, they didn't support it or tie it off correctly and dropped it right on the garage roof and gutter (shook the house when they did). The roof APPEARS to be fine, but the gutter was bent out of shape. John did bend it back into form, but I was not pleased at all with the lack of proper trimming of this precarious branch. John tried to make it right, but it should not have happened in the first place. - ISA and TCIA* (of which Yellow Tree claims they have membership in both) advise against the use of tree spikes on any living tree not being removed (rope supports and climbs should be used instead). However, tree spikes were used on our ornamental cherry, leaving quite a few large gouges in the tree trunk that I noticed upon close inspection. It's very damaging to the tree (leaves the tree exposed to rot, bugs, and disease), and I just hope the cherry rebounds properly. Further about the ISA and TCIA certifications YRTE claims (their website shows both seals at the bottom), I did find that Gary Robertson, the owner, is ISA certified (listed as an Alabama certification though). However, he didn't visit my property once. So, not sure if any ISA certified arborist set foot on my property at all. As for TCIA, I couldn't find that the company actually has TCIA membership or accreditation as their website claims. A search on the TCIA site didn't turn up results for Yellow Ribbon Tree Experts or Gary Robertson. Even searching just by state didn't turn them up. It could be that they just aren't listed for some reason as well. Again, YRTE did a pretty good job for the most part, but the work done on and surrounding one tree in the yard was not up to expectations. Not much can be done about it though, and part of that is on me. I wish I would have asked more questions during the process, and explained my expectations a bit better. However, I also wish John would have touched base with me BEFORE the work started as well, just to make sure we were all still on the same page. Overall, I'm happy with the work, but weary of how some of it was completed.

The crew was professional and quick with very competitive pricing. I would not select any other tree service over them. Yellow Ribbon Tree Experts rocks!

Gary and his team did an excellent job and did it all in one day. I especially enjoyed working with Gary and found him to be very professional, responsive and knowledgeable.

They had committed for 10/10, but were able to come a day early, which was great for us. We were worried about this tree falling on our house. The crew was very professional, and knew exactly what they were doing. They were very courteous, and at our request left us the chipped up limbs to use as mulch, I was very impressed with every member of the crew.

Good expereince over all. While part of the crew was a little bit late, they moved quickly once they got started and did a great job. I found their price to be very reasonable. They were also very responsive and provided their bid quickly.

We were very pleased. They're punctual and professional. They're very safe and accommodating. They have all the qualities that we hope to have. They were prompt to come out and give an estimate. They were thorough and they did exactly what they said they were going to do.

I cannot praise them enough for the great job they did, right from the start. Gary called me back promptly to set up the estimate, which we did a couple days later. After choosing them for the job, we set up a time and date, and with the cooperation of the weather had the work done today. They arrived on time and ready to go and were done in about 2.5 hours . The crew was very professional and friendly, handled all the cleanup of the area. The equipment looked new, well maintained. During the estimate, Gary gave us some good pointers on the Bradford Pears which we plan to have them come back in the Fall and take care of for us. I would not hesitate recommending them.

It went perfectly. I just felt the price was too high. I was in an emergency and could not wait to get other estimates as the Leland cypress was about to fall on my house. He did not grind the stump that was left and it should have been addressed.

My wife called to set up the estimate & Gary (owner) arrived on time. He asked what I wanted done and advised the best way to do it. We had some scheduling difficulties b/c the utilities companies did not mark their pipes/wires when they said they would, but Gary was very responsive and easy to work with. The crew arrived on time & on the date of the appointment, & made short work of everything. They cleaned up & left my yard as they found it (less the stumps, of course).

Gary (owner) is very professional and prompt. He was not the cheapest bid, but in my opinion the low bidders in this business are unreliable. I highly recommend Yellow Ribbon. Gary's crew were very careful not to damage any adjacent shrubs or fencing. They removed absolutely all of the debris and left the yard in great shape.

Team arrived early Saturday morning and promptly got to work. Less than three hours later they were finished with complete clean up! Excellent job all around. Will certain provide neighbors with Yellow Ribbon name/references and use the company again.

The company quickly responded to request for a quote, scheduled the day, showed up on time, did a great job removing a very tall river birch and two smaller trees. We would use them again. They might be a little more expensive, but worth it.
