+ -1 moreThey found several issues that should have been addressed in builder's QC but were not. They are very detailed and trustworthy. I know many people that say "it's a new home and under warranty", but my experience proved otherwise. Both Joe and Jim are wonderful individuals who educate you throughout the process. Thanks guys--see you again in seven years (my next move!!!)

+ -1 moreAs a home buyer from out of town I was unable to attend the inspection appointment and needed to find an inspector I could trust. I was very happy with the work performed and final detailed inspection report delivered to me. I sent Medallion a list of ~20 questions before the inspection and they patiently answered every single one, allaying each of my concerns. In addition, Medallion performed a thorough roof inspection by walking on the roof -- critical to have completed.. Overall, Medallion spent about 4 hours on the job. Medallion sent 2 inspectors and they seemed to work very well together.
Description of Work: Medallion performed an inspection of a 14 year old home.

Description of Work: Performed Home inspection and Radon Test on a nine year old property that we're buying. Two inspectors, Jim and Joe were punctual. Each has a specific area of expertise. They cover their respective areas thoroughly and since two of them are working simultaneously, the inspection gets done quickly (two hours approximately). Joe inspected the roof and Jim inspected the basement. They looked inside closets, attics, and crawl spaces. In addition to a couple of big issues, they also identified several minor and potential issues (very useful when negotiating with the seller). They also suggested remedies for problems. Created a report within 15-20 minutes of completing the inspection and shared it with us immediately. Report is very well organized and easy to understand. Both of them were always available whenever we had any questions. Their office number is forwarded to their cell phones, so one can reach them at all times.

As promised on their great Web site, they taught me SO much more about the condo and I felt more confident about my purchase after Jim and Joe inspected and later re-checked the property. With their guidance and my inspection report in hand, I knew how to proceed and got the builder to perform all the repairs needed before closing. It was an incredible relief to have Jim and Joe in my corner! I really feel they protected my interests and made sure this purchase was a solid investment.
Description of Work: Jim and Joe from Medallion inspected a newly-constructed condo town home for us prior to purchase. They inspected the COMPLETE HOUSE, top-to-bottom, inside and out, including heating, electrical system, plumbing, appliances, roof, windows, and more. Before they left, they gave me a completed report in print and on CD. It included digital photos, the full report, and an easy-to-use Summary Letter for me to review with my builder. For an additional $129, I had them come back to check on all the inspection items we had asked the builder to address.
