FORTIFIED FENCE GROUP

After having to reschedule our initial appointment by 2 days, left the property with a promise of having estimate within 48 hours. After awarding the job to another fence company, our estimate finally arrived 13 days later. I'm glad I did not wait, as Fortified's quote came in $1000 higher than the others that had provided quotes.

We are building a new house in Gainesville, Ga. We currently live about 120 miles away from the homesite. Our development requires Architectural Review Committee approval of any fence request before the fence can be installed. It takes 30 days to normally get the approval. We want to get the fence installed as soon after we move in as possible. As a result i requested an estimate to provide and install the fence we need from three different fence installers in the area. The first , fastest and highest quality response i received was from Fortified Fence's estimator Terri. In every respect her handling of my request was of the highest technical quality. She determined the exact mfg and style of fence required where i am moving and provided a detailed estimate which more than met the details of what the ARC of our development would require to approve my fence proposal. I was initially surprised by the high amount of her estimate, but we quickly understood that she had proposed a steel fence when all i wanted was an aluminum fence. She made me aware that many of the fences in my development were steel, not aluminum. Nevertheless, she refigured the estimate using aluminum fence and it was approximate $3000. Subsequently, i changed the dimensions of the fence we wanted after visiting the house and measuring what we really needed. I provided Terri with that information and she immediately revised her quote to approxminately $2400. She actually made some recommendations to me regarding the fence which i adopted and which REDUCED the cost of the fence! By this time i was getting the other estimates i had requested and felt that Fortified's estimate would be my best one. I really wanted to use Fortified because of the outstanding way in which Terri, the estimator, had handled every element of the service she provided to us. I have no doubt the fence installation would have been completed in an excellent manner. Unfortunately, one of the other fence installers, an A rated Angies List provider, finally provided me with their estimate after i was able to meet their estimator at the home site , and his estimate turned out to be several hundred dollars less than Fortified's. As a result i advised Terri that i was going to use another fence installer.She not only handled herself very professionally in accepting my decision......she actually gave me some key questions to ask the other installer to make sure i was going to get a quality installation! I did not select Fortified from Angies List. They were recommended to me by a friend in the community where we are moving to. Subsequently, i saw that Fortified is listed on Angies List with only two reviews and a B rating. My only point here is to say that, based on how Terri handled my case, i could not have expected any better service or technical work than i received from Terri. This was NOT a big job for Fortified as most of their work is Commercial, but Terri approached this job like it was a key to their ability to stay in business in spite of their $7 mil a year in sales. I was truly dazzled by the service i received and only wish the other estimate hadnt been about 15% lower than Fortified's. I will definitely consider Fortified in the future if i need additional fence work.

Contacted for a quote & they never bothered to call back!

The guy who came out was fine and he did a good job. He was very professional and very good. It took them a little longer to come out and give me the estimate. I did not use them for the final job as I found someone else who gave me a better quote.

Terri came out to provide a quote, was very nice and courteous and extremely easy to work with. The price was a little high compared to other companies but my neighbor highly recommended them... so I went with them. I'm so glad I paid the extra few hundred dollars - they were prompt, efficient, clean, and polite. Very hard to find these days. The crew arrived on time and did a prefect, beautiful job. I have absolutely no complaints.

Great sales would have used if the quote was more in line.
