We had an amazing experience using Five Star Painting. We had a fantastically attentive, pleasant and professional crew. The work was immaculate, done on time and lived up to expectations. They cleaned up afterward and put furniture back. They were meticulous! We will have them back for sure!! We highly recommend them for your painting needs.

Wow. Amazing. German and Maria were fantastic, quick, clean, and friendly. Matt was the representative, and easy to work with. They cleaned up after each day, told us how they were progressing, and did an amazing job. Seriously -- best house painters we've ever hired.

The original quote was totally off so on the day the painters arrived, I was told that I was going to have to pay more money...a lot more. It felt like a bait and switch. The painters themselves were very nice but they only sent 2 painters for the entire house project. They moved quickly but I found drops of paint on everything from the floor, light switches to my dining room table for weeks after. I needed the house painted to sell the house and they were well aware of that yet it was still a sloppy job. I used their financing service but they ended up putting the entire job on the credit card I used for the deposit without confirming with me first. Fortunately I check my credit card bill regularly and noticed right away and they did credit the money back quickly. It was just a lot more aggravation than was needed during an already stressful time as I was prepping my house to sell. I would not hire again and do not recommend them at all.

It went great. I had several companies come out and I went with Five Star. They were dependable, honest, finished the work in the allotted time and answered all my questions along the way. They did a really good job. I was quite happy with the work. I would hire again and recommend to friends and family.

I needed my house's exterior painted and some outside wood repaired. After getting three quotes from local painters, I hired Five Star painting of Suwanee. From the start, I was impressed with their professionalism and systematic approach to the project.They even assigned a project manager to my job. The company is run like a well oiled machine. They pressure washed my house, repaired the wood siding and trim, prepped, caulked and painted my house in just two days. Their painters were courteous and friendly. Everyone, from the estimater, painters and project manager were punctual. One reason I hired them is because they carry complete insurance coverage, including workmen's comp. Their workmanship is excellent and their price reasonable. I'm pleased with the results and would hire them again.

Mike from 5 Star Painting of Suwanne came out to our house and took some pictures of our ceiling. He then handed me a copy of 5 Stars insurance forms and customer referral list and tells me that he'll have to talk with his boss, but that he'll probably have our estimate out later that day and or definitely by the next morning. That day and the next morning no estimate was sent. The following day I then proceeded to call the 5 Star call center and asked them what the situation was with the estimate and they in turned called Mike and he told them that he was about to go into and estimate, but that he would call me first thing after he got out of that task. Well he never called us back and so I called back the next morning and spoke with another young lady and she tried the same thing and he told her as well that he would call me back asap that day. Well...he never called back and so I called 5 Star painting back and tried one more time the next day to reach him or the owner (I was told that Mike was the only one that would have the estimate and there was not anyone else that was avaliable to speak with me) to find out where our estimate was and he again lied to the operator and told her he was busy but would call me back that day. Well nothing...Basically That's not how you run a successful business and people on Angie's list should be aware that...apparently this type of non-Customer Service is condoned at 5 Star Painting in Suwanee.

The people at 5Star do a very good job. They communicate well in advance, give quick and accurate estimates and each job is assigned to a project manager who is available throughout the day. They painters came on time and finished the job in a reasonable amount of time. The professionally fixed the water leak damage in the ceiling (did make it right the first time) and painted the ceiling afterwards. Damage is not visible anymore at all. I am very happy with the result.

This was actually my second project with 5-Star. The first project was much larger, great room with very high ceilings, walls up 3 flights of stairs and a 2nd floor hallway. The final product looked good. There were quite a few places missed in round 1 but they fixed them before they left. I concluded that the reason for the missed areas was because only 1 coat of paint was applied although 2 coats were quoted. The painter didn't think the second coat was needed and honestly, I didn't have to go buy more paint that way so I was ok with it. But, I still paid for 2 coats worth of labor and I should have asked for an adjustment at the time - my fault there. Second project, problem #1: one bedroom + ceiling and 1 bathroom + ceiling. Again, the final product looks pretty good so I have no problem with it. But, again, I got a quote for 2 coats and only received 1. The painter didn't believe a second coat was needed - I agree but why doesn't the price change at that point? I realize it isn't half the labor but it certainly is much less labor. Second project, problem #2: I awarded the job based on turn-around time and scheduling to accommodate guests coming in from out of town. If they couldn't meet the schedule I would have gone somewhere else. The first day, the painter was pulled from my job to go help on a job gone-bad somewhere else. He came back the next day and worked half a day and left because he had to go do an estimate. There were two repairs needed to finish up the job but he left them undone, went downstairs to "make a call about it" and never came back that day. Also, there was project management and inspection involvement in the first job - none this time. I had them all setup to do another living room and another bedroom - I'm not going forward with it and will find someone else. The final product looks pretty good and the people are nice but compute the hourly labor cost of the one coat of paint and the price doesn't seem reasonable anymore. The first project was managed well so maybe the management of the second was just a slip-up due to holidays or something but the facts are the facts.

We were happy with their service, they are very responsive, they were very patient with us changing the schedule and a shade of color. The quality of the painting skills in overall was good, the only place were they left paint was on the window in the playroom. They painted the frame and there was a lot of paint all over the window left over which we ended up cleaning. One more area for improvement is to cover more floors of the house they work and walk a little better. They had used their canvas in work areas but very often they would move exposing the floor during their work and stay like that during the day. Also not all areas they walked on were covered and every time you walk on the carpet or floor with shooes with paint on them you are running the risk of getting the floor getting dirty. In overall we liked their work, and would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody.

They did a masterful job. One room was big in size and they quoted me a favorable additional cost.

They were punctual from the estimate to the job. Scheduling was a breeze. They did a fantastic job. Not one spec of paint where it didn't belong. This was the second time I used them because they did such a good job the first time. Highly recommended. I can't say enough good things about them.

It took them about 3-4 days to complete the job. They had a lot of prep work to do. They are a small, but wonderful company. Both the owner and his wife were onsite and present. They followed up with their men’s work.
