It was a great experience. They were professional and always on time. The supervisor was always on top of everything and gave great advice. We had an issue 9 months later that they came back and fixed for no charge.

Everything went fine until they got to the door. It's a metal door which they took off to paint and covered the opening with plastic. So far, so good. They then proceeded to use a brush to paint the door which looked absolutely horrible. They also just painted over the existing paint. Of course, the paint started peeling in no time. I called them back out to redo the door and to sand it first. They again painted it with a brush. Paint stayed on better but still looked terrible. They came out again to repaint the door and this time used a roller which looked better but not the nice smooth finish that was on our new door when it was installed. I was just tired of messing with it. Now 2 years later, the color is great but the paint has started to bubble in places and has started to peel again. Think this time I'll do it myself :(

They ordered the wrong front door and then make you put down a fifty percent deposit. They didn't put the runner underneath the front door so water came in my house and messed up our hardwood floors. Then they put the wrong paint on the door and it completely pealed off because it was an oil base. We had a lot of problems with them. Their customer service is really good but what they ended doing is they sent a rep out to look at the stuff, you have to send pictures, your contracts, documentation, did you ever do business with them. Then they had to come back several times to fix things on the door that weren't fixed. You can still see daylight from my family room out the front door where the door wasn't put in quite properly. I mean it looks good but I'm so aggravated that they used the wrong paint on the front door and they never fixed it. They wanted me to take pictures and send the contract in and unfortunately I'm sick and I just didn't have the time to do all that stuff. The interior painting was fine, it was the exterior paint. We get completely direct sun on the front of our house and when they put the primer on you can use an oil base or something, well they used the wrong one and the door is fiberglass and needed to be re-sanded, but they are great when it's their business and they put stuff in, but then to come back out to the house, even though it has a lifetime warranty, even in year two, because the first season it didn't peal, getting them to come back after the fact a couple years later is where they really dropped the ball. I'll never do business with them again. The product looks good, it just took a while to get it installed, get it painted, just a variety of things. They are good when they want your money. But not responding when there is an issue. It shouldn't take six weeks to put a front door in. Their follow up was really not good. They were really nice up to having to come back because they put the wrong paint on the door.

The representative who came out, Thomas, was very professional and informative and this company would have been my second choice had I not gone with another Angie's List top rated vendor.

If it were possible in this forum to post a picture of my project manager, Tony Frick, with a caption reading, "This guy kicks a**", I would. The schedule he worked up for me seemed ambitious, but they hit it on the head (actually, they finished a day early), despite having rain in the forecast every single day they were working. The crews always showed up when they were supposed to, which was one big improvement over other companies I've worked with in the past. I was kept fully notified of every development, Tony was responsive when I had questions, and -- most importantly -- my house looks beautiful now that they're done. They were careful with my yard and driveway, kept their materials stowed neatly, and they cleaned up when they were done. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Our first experience with Exovations was very positive. We received our exterior house painting quote from Joy Branch. She was very professional and thorough with her estimate. We decided to go with Exovations over our other offers because their offices were extremely prompt and responsive. Our project manager was Terry and he did a great job in keeping us informed on the project's status. We had a minor issue with the pressure washing and he addressed our concerns immediately. He also was able to get the right folks over to our house when some additional unscheduled repairs needed to be made to some siding. He even offered to help us out with installing new light fixtures at the end of the project. During the job, the painter that they used was very professional and thorough. They took pride in their work and the end product is FAR better than I would have accomplished over many weekends. They were worth every penny and we will certainly use them for future projects. We are very satisfied with the job!

The work was provided and presented in a week, as promised. I was impressed with the drawing.

Tony was our project manager. He truly managed the project from start to finish. They arrived as scheduled and did a great job on our roof.

Excellent service and the job was done on-time with no hiccups. Everyone on the crew was professional and a pleasure to interact with.

We needed our deck replaced and up to code, and while we did not use Exovations they were very professional and had impeccable customer service. The ONLY reason we did not go with them was simply because we did not plan to stay in our house more than a year and we did not want to invest too much in a deck and front porch we weren't going to use. Joy Branch, the rep we spoke to during our estimate phase was very nice, very thorough, and great to work with. I appreciated their time and attention even though we did not use them. I saw a screened in deck that they did for a neighbor and their work is beautiful!

We wanted to build a porch/patio and had no idea how to go about it, so we consulted Angie's List. Upon review of this company, we figured it was worth a shot. We reached out to Exovations via their email request and was promptly contacted the next business day to schedule an appointment for 3/14/14 with Randy. Randy came out and reviewed our ideas and supplied a few of his own. What we were looking for was an addition built onto the rear of our house that would act as a three season room. We wanted windows throughout and a set of french doors that would lead out to a patio to a new paver or flagstone porch. The porch would include a sitting wall and a firepit. Randy said that they could do the work no problem and would need a few days to hammer out a design and quote. I asked about permits and all of the particulars and again, Randy said there wasn't an issue. We actually had something planned the following week so we scheduled the appointment for the week after (Monday 3/24). RED FLAG #1: On Tuesday the 18th, Randy called me to say that there was an issue with the windows and that they actually couldn't do the work because it would require permits for HVAC and other things because it was the addition of a room. I questioned why it would need HVAC since we were talking about a three season porch and were not looking for anything special with respect to the windows. All we wanted was storm windows that could be removed during the summer ect. No heating or AC was needed. ( my issue here is that if you did these type of additions all of the time, why wouldn't you know this when you meet with the customers?) Randy said he would need to ask and then get back to me, but when it sounded like a major issue, I told him to scrap the windows and just build a quote with screens only. Randy said ok and that if we really wanted windows (RED FLAG #2) - He would be willing to do them on the side after the work was done by Exovations. I wonder how the warranty would have worked on that one.... RED FLAG #3: When Monday the 24th rolled around, Randy called again and said he couldn't work up the quote for the patio until his stone guy came out and priced the job. My question is that if the stone guy needs to come out, then why didn't you know that up front. As I said, RED FLAG. I told Randy that would be fine, but wanted to hammer down another date for him to come out. He said for me to text him at his cell some dates and times and he would get back to me. I texted him a few dates that evening and then again the next day (3/25). I didn't get a response from him, which prompted me to call him on 3/27. Randy said that he got my texts but didn't have a chance to call me ect, but could we meet on Saturday the 29th. He had a morning and an afternoon slot open. I opted for the afternoon slot and he said he would confirm with me on Saturday morning and we would go from there. My schedule changed right after that, so I texted Randy asking if we could do the morning slot instead, but i never got a response. RED FLAG #4: Saturday morning rolls around and no call from Randy. I called him Saturday afternoon and no answer. I texted him that following Monday (3/31) no answer. It is now April 6th and I have not received any communication from Randy. At this point, even if he did come back with a quote we are not interested and count ourselves lucky that we are not going to have any work done by Exovations. I would have liked to have seen where they would have come in at on the bid, but alas, we never got one from them. All we got was a waste of time and the run around. How this company won Angie's List awards is beyond me, because our experience was less than stellar, and we didn't even get any work done.

They were very professional and held to the schedule. The remodeling worked out very well and we are very pleased. We would use them again because of the experience and the results even though they are not the least expensive.

Outstanding crews. The Project manager was stretched a bit thin and it was reflected in his ability (inability?) to properly communicate expectations/deliverables. That is the only reason for the 'B' rating. if he was spread thin, I think he would have done much better.

Our experience with Exovations was not a positive one. The quality of deck and portico construction was not what I would have expected from a company with Exovations reputation. Be prepared to remain very involved in your own project being your own hands-on project manager/advocate. Take nothing for granted or you may regret it. The major issues we encountered: - Portico construction did not match the design we'd requested chosen Exovations website. Repeated use of "that's code, there's nothing we can do about it" excuse. Three significant re-workings finally got it right. - Poor quality work on deck building. Deck posts that should have been replaced were simply wedged below ground level - sure to rot quickly. I was assured these posts were fixed, but I dug them out myself to confirm my suspicion. Poorly fitted and split blocking. These support pieces were approximately +- 3/16" short. Four return trips finally got this right. - Poor quality block-wall work (below the deck) that was hidden by the crew with a dirt berm three times (which I dug out three times to expose the poor work) before it was rebuilt correctly - but only because my wife stood in the rain and made the crew do it right. Eventually Exovations made good on the repeated poor work but it took far more involvement from us than I would have expected. Without going into any additional detail, save to say we will not be using this company again.

I was extremely pleased with the professionalism and quality of work. We were challenged with the weather...rained majority of the time but they came everyday except for one. Josh our project manager was fantastic and always answered or addressed any concerns I had.

The quote was fine. Everything about them was well done. It was just that I was doing it for a listing as a marketing tool and people who bought the house did not want to redo the front. They didn't have anybody redo it. They just left it as it is. The quote was a little high; but they are a very reputed company, so I was expecting to get the highest quote with them. The responsiveness was excellent.

I met with a sales consultant and project manager before any work was performed. The sales consultant shared with me my options and agreed upon the plan. The project manager conveyed the project details and the schedule. I paid a portion of the bill up front and the remainder when the work was done. The work was performed by Donald, Pablo and Manny. Great crew. Pablo installed the front windows quickly and easily. The large back window was a bear....the existing window was decayed and both windows were extremely heavy. Donald knew his stuff....he was very experienced and overcame several challenges. I am very pleased with the end result.

Unfortunately, the price was too high. However, the estimator was professional and friendly.

THIS WAS DONE TO KEEP WATER FROM DRAINING DOWN ON THE UNDER DECK AREA. THE WATER DOES NOT DRAIN DOWN. HOWEVER, THE CEILING SHOWS WATER STAINS. I HAVE NOT CONTACTED THEM ABOUT THIS MATTER. IF THIS MATTER CAN BE RESOLVED, I MOST CERTAINLY WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.

They removed the original gutters in the rear of the house and installed new, larger gutters and larger downspouts to better handle the volume of rain water coming off the roof.

Did a very nice job. Very professional. More expensive than others but you don't have to worry about the workmanship or schedule. I will use them again in the future.

The door had to be adjusted repeatedly over several months before finally closing correctly. Complaints aside, the rest of the project looks great, went well, will reuse them.

My rating is "B" because after I purchased the Big Deal it took several calls into marketing dept to schedule a visit of their rep Chad. Chad was very professional and a pleasure! We had to provide all the final features and hire an outside color consultant who was very helpful (recommended by Exovation) because to my surprise Exovation doesn't help with the design. They provided catalogs. I was looking for a professional design that would properly match the new selected features (new garage doors, new entry doors, new portico & entry stairs..., removal of colonial plaster decorations, dramatic change of color of the house, etc...) with the existing style of the house/neighborhood but we would have to hire an architect... So after paying "Big Deal" $149 for a $300 service (as advertised by the company), consultation with the color specialist for additional $75, I had to guess and design it myself. Unfortunately, the final electronic architectural drawing we received was impossible to open on the computer. Chad offered to bring a print-out but he brought a scrambled mess with completely wrong color and a lot of printing errors because their printer was out of toner, and it took him two trips. Then they also had to correct some drawing errors done by their office. Needless to say, we had an unfortunate delay in starting our project and didn't manage to be done before Thanksgiving. Also, the entire project would be perfect for Exovation but not only they would not break down the quote so we could understand our possibilities to work with our budget (they insisted just on one lump sum) but their quote we received was about $6-8,000 more than other companies'. We used the much needed savings for some windows replacement....
