I almost can't find the words to express how highly impressed we were with every aspect of the Exovations experience! From the initial fact-finding phone call to the final walk-thru, Exovations proved that they are superior to the competition. Tracy in the front office recognized our needs and understood how the company could approach our project and provide a complete solution. She was very efficient and flexible with scheduling both the initial appointment and the pre-construction meeting. The sales rep Kevin arrived at the appointed time - on the dot! He listened to our tale of wood-rot woe, assessed the situation, and knew exactly how to proceed. He spoke intelligently about the problems with building with wood and the problems with continuing to repair damaged wood. He was able to discuss solutions with PVC, vinyl, fiberglass, and composites. He didn't hesitate for a single second with any aspect of the project; nothing seemed to daunt him. He was able to describe how the work would be done and how long it would take. He assured us that all components (pillasters, side lights, transoms, thresholds, etc.) would be replaced with the same or similar aesthetics but with upgraded energy efficiency and safety. Kevin recognized that we weren't interested in upgrading to a leaded glass door or changing the hardware or frosting the glass, so he didn't bog us down with those details or attempt to up-sell us; he remained focused on the issue of the elimination of the wood-rot issue. After his full assessment and Q&A (during which he took detailed notes), he returned to his truck where he had a laptop, internet connection, and a printer. When he returned 10 minutes later, he presented us with a folder that included a multi-page detailed project description, a price quote, and all the relevant company info (eg: BBB #, license #, bond #, company history, customer testimonials). Kevin is a fantastic representative of Exovations! The pre-construction meeting was just as pleasant. Pete arrived promptly with tape measure in hand. He had done his homework and had Kevin's project description with him. Again, he seemed unphased by the size of the decorative window or the process of replacing the doors. He was confident in the success of the project. After the work was done, Pete was very flexible in scheduling the post-construction walk-thru. He answered our questions and reviewed the work himself to ensure all details had been covered, including, true and level lines, centering, proper door hang/fit, tight seals, proper caulking/painting, complete clean-up. Pete was a pleasure to work with! The workers themselves were amazing! Fast, efficient, professional, clean, knowledgable, polite, (insert glowing accolade here)! Josh and Josh did the construction work. It only took them about 3 hours to pull out old and put in new door casings and the window! This was definitely not their first rodeo! They worked quickly and took pride in getting it right (even taking extra steps to make sure the outside light fixtures were centered properly on the pillasters). The painters (whose names I failed to get) were masters with a caulk gun and a paint brush. We didn't even know they were there until the caulking was all done and they knocked on the door to get the paint. Ninja painters! Their hands were steady; their lines were straight; and there wasn't one stray drop of paint anywhere! OUR EXPERIENCE WITH EXOVATIONS WAS OUTSTANDING FROM START TO FINISH! WE LOOK FORWARD TO WORKING WITH THEM IN THE FUTURE!!!** About the cost: On first glance at the quote from Exovations, we were a bit taken aback. $6500 was a big number. We thought that might be on the high side and continued to interview other companies for the work. However, we reminded ourselves that, to this point, we had been looking at the "repair" side of this project and not the "replace" side. And, of course, it wasn't long before we discovered that the other companies were only interested in up-selling on features and didn't have the construction expertise to achieve our goals. When all the bids were in, we had a wide range of quotes - Exovations was not only the lowest bid, but it was also the only one that covered all our requirements.** As an aside: When we interviewed other similar companies for this job, we were much less than impressed. The other sales reps didn't seem to feel our wood-rot pain. They glossed over that and went straight to talking about upgraded glass, aesthetic details, and hardware choices. They couldn't answer questions about materials (PVC v. vinyl v. composites) or about the construction process. In fact, one rep from another company handed me a large book of "up-sells" and told me to get back to him with my selections; when I re-iterated that I wanted nothing to change except construction with PVC instead of wood, he stared at me blankly and told me send him an email with the page numbers of what I wanted! Additionally, no other company provided the level of professionalism that matched Exovations. Other quotes that we received were either hand-scrawled or verbal and had no accompanying company information.
Description of Work: General problem: wood rot around front door frame, front door pillasters, back door frame, and frame of large decorative window over foyerOur dilemma: House is 15 yrs old - this was 3rd time we were facing wood rot problems around the door frames; we had repaired twice already. We were looking for a more permanent solution that didn't require maintenance/repair every few years.

What a professional company and a great experience. Chris was our Project Manager and just did an awesome job. They had to do tons more work on the support structure of the deck than was originally anticipated. They told us what they were doing and why - and did not charge one extra penny! Having so many different things done, we had a lot of different crews here and they were all wonderful. They let us know when they arrived, when they were leaving, if they would come back or were finished. Every one of htem cleaned up after themselves and was respectful of our property. They will definitely get a call when we have any work done in the future!
Description of Work: After years of replacing and maintaining wooden eaves, fascia boards and deck. We decided to stop throwing good money after bad. We got quotes from 3 companies with good reputations to replace all of our fascia and soffit on the eaves with a concrete based product, replace exterior columns with pvc columns, replace the existing gutters with larger ones, replace the existing deck and railing with a composite decking product and have the entire house painted. Exovations quote came right in the middle of th other two but was very detailed and included some items left off of each of the other quotes.

Excellent experience from start to finish! The proposal process was thorough with Kevin DeWeese taking time to understand my wants and concerns. The written proposal was thorough and provided the alternate price quotes I had requested. The price qouted was about 10% higher than the least expensive quote I received and 20-30% less than the two others I received. In addition to pricing, I decided to go with Exovations due to the thorough detailed proposal and their professionalism. The next step was to meet with project manager, Chris Thomas. We began by walking the property and reviewing the contract item by item to ensure that we were both clear as to expectations and what would be done and when. Chris provided a Project Schedule that gave a specific time line for each step of the project. Every step of the project was begun at the time indicated on the Project Schedule and completed on or before the target completion date. Throughout the project, Chris was very proactive in communicating with me. He was on site checking on his crews at least once per day, usually more often. He was very accessible and responsive when I had a questions. The nature of this type of project is that there are going to be problems that are not known until the existing siding or roofing is removed. During the initial walk through prior to starting the project, Chris made sure that I understood that there could be hidden problems that may require additional labor/materials that were not in the original proposal. When a couple of such items were found Chris made sure to point them out and discuss what needed to be done. A change order was completed for each. I was very happy with the completed work in every phase of the project. I have worked with a number of different builders/contractors over the years, on my personal residence and investment properties, and this was the best expeience I have had. Chris Thomas and Exovations did an excellent job!
Description of Work: They removed existing roofing, repaired decking where needed then installed new roof.Removed exisitng siding, repaired underlying sheeting and framing as needed. Then applied house wrap and new cement fiber siding. Also removed and replaced damaged trim where needed.Prepped, caulked and painted exterior of the house, with two coats of paint.Removed and replaced gutters and downspouts.

Excellent service throughout the job. Starting with initial contact by Katie Ward, Sales Consultant, who arrived early for our appointment, reviewed my needs and toured the site, and subsequently arranged quotation. Job was scheduled and carried out within the dates specified. Exovations kept to the schedule throughout the project. Jim McCulloch was Project Manager. He met with me in advance, reviewed the schedule, and assured the job was completed to specification on time. Dumpster was removed promptly after the job was completed. Katie & Jim both were accessible by phone before, during and after the project, as needed. Exovations was not the low bidder, but they won me over with their professionalism and the degree of detail/understanding of my project in advance of the contract and more than met our expectations with a job well done. Provided credentials and insurance details up front, and followed up after the project was completed with a limited warranty of workmanship, as promised.
Description of Work: Two part project: (a) level the deck by jacking up the old deck a few inches, removing old insect-damaged support posts (2 rather than the 1 initially quoted), and replacing the old posts with superior concrete footings plus to-code support posts with metal footings, and: (b) replacing woodpecker-damaged chimney siding and repainting.

Brett went over what to expect and how long it would take to take down the old siding and replace the new. Everything was done just as scheduled and our project manager, Charlie, was always easy to reach anytime we had a question. The crew showed up early every morning to work. The whole process went very smoothly. I am happy that there were no delays and that everything was completed when it was scheduled to be completed. I was also impressed how well they dealt with our dogs, they made sure we brought them inside before going into our backyard, which I really appreciated! Our house looks fantastic!
Description of Work: After getting several quotes from other contractors on different options of siding, we were very satisfied with Brett's quote of high-quality cement-fiber siding and Leaf-x gutter cover system. Exovations also came insured and with workmanship and install warranties, which other companies (that were more expensive) did not. They replaced all of the siding, fascia and gutters on our 1800 square foot house. Exovations painted our house after putting on the siding and also installed our new shutters that we had bought from another company.

This was a very mixed experience. Our sales guy was very informed and responsive during the sales process. Once the contract was signed, he turned things over to the project manager. The timing was WAY longer than we expected. By the date we were thinking we'd be starting the installation they called to say they had just ordered the windows. So we signed a contract in mid March and the work wasn't done until late May. I guess that's not unusual for construction projects though. Our project manager was on top of things - very, very responsive and helpful. The crew that installed the windows was awful. They didn't hang plastic to seal off the room before they began cutting holes in the exterior walls of our house so we had drywall and sawdust EVERYWHERE. When my husband complained, they hung a sheet of plastic across from one wall to another about 8 inches below the ceiling. Really? It was awful. They installed the two windows (flanking the fireplace) unevenly. The window on the right was about 3 inches higher than the the left window. Again, we had to complain to the project manager (who agreed and took action on it right away) so the came back the next day and reinstalled it correctly by cutting a larger hole in the house and moving it up and then patching the lower part with wood. They had to go out and buy a strip of siding that doesn't really match the other siding on the house but fortunately it's not very conspicuous. When the project was almost finished, they realized that the chair rail molding we have in our room is no longer available. For a few days, we were faced with using a different molding (that wouldn't match the other walls in the room) or ripping all of our chair rail down and having to patch/paint/reinstall (and pay for it). To his credit, once again the project manager came through, scouring all over until he found matching chair rail. But wouldn't that be something you'd want to confirm before you pull off the existing chair rail? I'm really happy with the end result, and I think the price was very fair. I just think the process was much more difficult than it should have been. My guess is that these guys are probably good with siding and replacing existing windows, but our project was outside their comfort zone.
Description of Work: Install two new windows where none previously existed, remove a french door and replace with a picture window, finish drywall and woodwork around the new picture window (an interior wall).

Dear Member: Thank you for your feedback. The project you describe is very standard for us and should have been performed without any disruption to you or your family. Typically any interior trim, including chair railing can be re-installed so we don’t have this type if issue. Occasionally, when removing the trim, a piece will be broken. Interior trims have evolved and changed over the years, so finding an exact match can at times be difficult. If we would have been unable to find an exact match we would have worked with you to replace all the chair railing in the room with a molding of your choice. I apologize for our crew not taking better precautions to contain the dust to a specific work area. We have procedures and equipment to ensure we limit this on any project we do and the failure to do so in unacceptable. We would be happy to have your home cleaned by a professional cleaning company. If you would like to schedule this, please contact us and we will take care of it.

Called in early May for an estimate - soonest they could come was end the month. Email reminder was sent the day before. Wayne was right on time. I explained what our minimum requirements are for minor repairs and paint and our wish list of the minimum required to get a more or less maintenance free exterior now that we are getting older. Wayne made it clear fairly quickly Exovations is not really set up to do minor carpentry repairs. He said they cannot replace just a few boards on a wall but have to replace the entire wall. Strongly recommended reside entire house with new fiber cement, suggested a few ways to save a little on the budget and still get us what we want. Recommended 6" gutters and gave us a choice of 2 different types of windows - both around the same cost. Rough estimate before he left was around $23000 and he said he would get us a full written estimate within a couple of days. My husband and I discussed the pros and cons of putting that much money into a house in this part of Atlanta in this real estate market, the fact we are currently underwater in the mortgage with little hope of getting ahead on that in our lifetime and that we likely only have 10-15 yrs left in this house before we can no longer live independently or have passed on. We decided not to pursue this size of a project at this time. I contacted Wayne and let him no there's no need to put the effort into an official written estimate. We won't hire Exovations at this time, but what dealings I had with them are positive and highly professional. I did not feel any pressure from Wayne at all and was very comfortable with how the meeting went, but my husband felt the only option given was to reside a whole house when most of what we have is in good condition was Wayne caring more about the commission that what was best for us.
Description of Work: Requested an estimate for exterior painting on a 1100 sq ft 1 story 1980's ranch house with masonite siding that is still in reasonably good condition. House is currently valued at around $40,000. The entire chimney and about a dozen other boards need to be replaced with fiber cement board. The initial request was for the minor carpentry repairs and painting of the entire exterior.

After I signed the contract, we received a call and met with the person who would be managing our job. There were some weeks in between that there was no communication. I called him, and he would not return the calls. The day that they were scheduled to come, they did come. The day that the door was to be installed, something came up and I could not be present, so I asked them to reschedule. He was very rude, and said that it had been scheduled for a while. I never felt like that had my best interest at heart. They were very cold, and there was little effort to please the customer. In my contract, it stated that they would inspect the siding. I had holes in the siding from birds. When I looked at the siding, I asked the men doing the work to make sure they were not wrapping any birds in there. The man spoke limited English, but stated that there were no birds. The next day, I found a dead bird on the floor downstairs and then the next morning another live bird. I called both the salesperson and project manager to let them know. The salesman responded, but the project manager never did. They did an excellent job of painting, but he told me the colors that I had chosen were not good and convinced us to change our colors. This was not explained to me before hand. The painter was very helpful though. I do feel like I was forced to change the colors, which I did not like. I contacted the project manager about this, and he said it would be a different contract to change the paint. I felt like I had been pressured to change the paint, and had not been told in advance. I had to make the decision in about 10-20 minutes. For someone who is doing this for the first time, this company was just not very helpful. Last, they delivered the wrong door. Even after I signed the contract, the salesperson called and told me I had to decide on a door based on whether it would be stained or painted.
Description of Work: They resided the whole house. They added and painted a new deck. They also installed and painted a new door.

Dear Member: There is no excuse for poor communication and I apologize your experience. We fully realize that communication is a major component of a successful remodeling project. One of the ways we try to enhance our communication is by scheduling your project with you at the time of the pre-construction meeting with your Project Manager. And the schedule is posted on our website via a secure login for your access. This schedule is then updated weekly during our Production Meetings. If there are any changes, we will note it accordingly and your Project Manager will call you to update. Many times, unless there is a schedule change, our Project Manager may not contact you until a couple days before we are scheduled to begin work. Again, there is no excuse for not returning phone calls or being rude. Our customer is number 1 and we should treat you as such. I don’t understand why we would encourage you to change your paint colors. Our paint selection sheet is one of the best tools we have for our customers. We give you paint sample coupons and instructions to make the process very easy. The free samples allow you to paint the colors on your home prior to making your selection. Once you have made your selection, it should be final unless YOU want to change colors. The door selection was made prior to the contract signing so again, I am unclear as to why that would change or you would not have received what you selected. I will have our Construction Manager contact you so we can better understand the details of what transpired and help rectify any outstanding issues. Sincere Regards, Candice Skinner Director of Marketing & Administrative Officer

The superintendent (Jim McCalla) fixed the siding problem and went above and beyond by fixing another problem that they were perhaps not responsible for (my air conditioning was sparking). They answered the problem promptly and safety is clearly a concern of Exovations. I was so impressed with them that I am using them to replace my roof. Jim McCalla was extremely helpful and I would highly recommend him.

Excovations has just completed the most excellent job on an exterior facelift involving new roofing, new gutters, complete rebuilding of our front porch using TREX materials, lattice underneath, repairing/repainting/staining our whole house and the most beautiful rock work all the way around the base of our house. Katie and Jim were the experts that set up the whole job. They were very professional, friendly, knowledgeable and were very available for all of our needs. They provided answers on the spot for every question we had. Jim was on regularly onsite to check up on the work and inspectors came to make sure the work met standards. Clarity and detail was provided in all the paperwork and contracts for each job done. The pricing was very reasonable. Neighbors have been complementing the remarkable work done on our house. I was informed that our house is the talk of the neighborhood of 257 homes. Several friends and neighbors stopped by to visit.

Exovations has a wonderful system in place from quotation, to assigning a project manager, to material delivery to completion of the work. Neat and professional. Our project manager, Charlie, went out of his way to work with us. The original siding delivered didn't match our house. We worked with him to find the exact siding we wanted and he went and got it for us. On the final walk through day he was out there finishing up a bird box in the rain. That's dedication. Our only suggestion to Exovations would be to have a complete, final invoice at walk through so correct payment is made the first time. We had two add ons to our original quote and the amount we paid at walk through differed from the actual balance. For some reason we had to get the check for the balance to them in a matter of hours for some sort of deadline so we ended up having to pay the balance with a credit card over the phone. Exovations can aleviate this problem by have a "final invoice" ready to go at walk through.
Description of Work: Exovations removed our old roof and replaced with new decking and new shingles. Also replaced all the rotten siding and trim on roof. Also built us a new side porch roof .

We called for a bid on getting our deck cleaned and re-stained as well as some areas around the front and back of the house power washed. A date and time were confirmed for about a week later and Joy Branch arrived 5 minutes early for the appointment. She spent quite a bit of time measuring and completing a detailed bid checking back with her office as needed to provide us with a very professional and precise presentation of what they could do for us. She explained her company used only the best products and, in fact, their's was the highest bid we received. We felt they would do an excellent job for us and would consider contacting them again for other work. Ultimately, though we accepted another bid for the work but we were impressed with the quality of this company.

I was extremely nervous about hiring a contractor. I had heard all of the horror stories from my cousin who had just had some major work done on his house. I had started interviewing contractors. Most of them did not impress me at all. In fact, I was beginning to wonder if I would find one. I had seen Exovations on Angies list and had them scheduled as the last one to give me a quote. I guess that you might say that I saved the best for last! Terry Brooks came out on time. He was very knowledgable. He actually listened to what I wanted and then made suggestions. He explained the entire process to me as to how they operate when renovating a home. At this point in time, I was covered up at work. Terry had prepared my quote and contacted me as promised. Being extremely busy at work, my time was limited. Terry was very very accommodating. When I received the quote, I was very impressed. Most of the other contractors gave me things on notebook paper or hand written on cheesy stationary. This was a professionally prepared quote. You could see that a lot of work went into the quote as it was very detailed. I remembered that Terry had told me that they may not be the lowest but they do the best work and stand behind everything 100%. In reviewing the quote, they were a little bit higher but given the detail of the quote, I knew that they must have this down to a science. I called Terry to let him know that I was choosing them for the job. They asked for no money up front. Most everyone else wanted half upfront and the remainder at the end. Terry informed me that my project coordinator would be Jim McCulloch ( his much younger brother ). Jim contacted me and set a time to meet to go over everything on the contract. I was supposed to have chosen all of my colors and had them ready for the meeting. Of course, I did not have any of that ready when I met Jim. Jim showed up on time. He had copies of everything to be done. We went through every detail of the job. At this time, my Uncle came over as he would be there when I was not able to due to work. He is very particular about having work done and even he was impressed with everything that Jim was going over. As for the colors, I had been given many suggestions from family members but none that really clicked. Jim was very accommodating. Finally, I told him what I wanted and asked what would he suggest. Jim actually took the time to really help me choose the right colors. Near the end of our meeting, Jim pulls out some paperwork, makes a few calls and then presents me with a schedule of when all the different work will be performed. At this point, I was impressed. Things started happening just as they had been scheduled. I mean it was a detailed schedule. The dumpster will be delivered on this date, materials this date, everything went as it was stated on that schedule. In fact, they were able to get ahead of schedule and Jim called me to ask if it was okay to start the next phase ahead of schedule. As my Uncle and I were watching the work being completed, we were amazed at how exceptional things were going. Jim was always in touch with me and providing updates and making sure that I was satisfied. He was coming by everyday inspecting everything and making sure that it was of the highest quality. I was there when they were framing in the garage and was absolutely impressed with the craftsmanship! Now, there is a word that you do not hear much anymore but I was quick to realize that I was getting some serious craftsmanship with this company. The attention that they paid to every little detail was amazing. For instance, all of the other contractors spoke of closing in the carport by framing the entire thing with 2 X 4's. Exovations installed this huge support beam. I remember commenting on it and Jim said that a large garage door needs proper support and when they do a job, they do it to last. I had chosen plywood for the inside wall portion of the garage as it is a brick house and I wanted it to be durable for when I work on things in there. They did a fantastic job. They put lattice wood over the seams of the plywood and they coped all of the wood that met up with the moulding at the top of the carport - now a garage. For those who do not know about coping moulding - it is being very detailed. They replaced 13 windows and they went the extra mile and installed extra moulding to make it look 100% correct. This was something that they did not have to do and that I would have never noticed. The new columns are awesome and they were very careful in removing the old ones and installing the new ones. They look awesome! I remember Terry telling me that you are really going to be impressed when the columns go up. The vinyl siding that they installed looks incredible. I was over there and asked the installer - Greg about the space under the front 3 windows under the porch. You would not believe what he was able to do with the material that they wrap the windows with, he made this awesome design by crimping it several different ways-again CRAFTSMANSHIP!. Next to go up were the gutters - I love the the Leaf X gutters - no more cleaning out the gutters! A big thanks to Terry and Jim for suggesting them - well worth the extra money! I was not expecting much for a garage door. I come home and there is this beautiful, very well insulated garage door. It gets even better, they installed an awesome garage door opener with battery back-up. The opener on the wall gives you the time and temp. This door is so well insulated that there is not hardly any difference in the temp from the garage to the house. You can't even hear cars going by and it is a busy street. Now, going back to when I mentioned that Terry said they may be slightly higher than other contractors. In reality, they are less expensive because you are getting superior quality products and CRAFTSMANSHIP! I mentioned my cousin earlier. He lives an hour away. He was down after the job was completed. He had Exovations give him a quote and over a few hundred dollars, he chose someone else and had nothing but problems. He was looking at everything that Exovations had done and admitted that he had made a big mistake by not choosing them. He has had to stay on his "contractor" to make things right and still has not gotten it completed 100%. I remember there was an issue on how to do something off of the Sunroom. Due to some old previous construction, it was going to be extremely difficult to cover this real small area. I made a comment as we were all standing around that I would be okay if they had to work around an area and I could keep it painted. Jim spoke up without hesitation and said "absolutely not, this work is a reflection of myself and my company and it will be 100% perfect". True to his word, they made it 100% perfect and it took extra time but they did it because they TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR WORK! I have not received service this excellent in a long long time but Exovations provided it to me. I want to say thank you to Terry & Jim who were there every step of the way and also to the entire crew - Greg, Josh, everyone! For those of you reading this who watch Extreme Home Makeover and wish that Ty would come to your house for an extreme home make over, just pick up the phone and call Exovations. Exovations is the extreme home make over for Georgia! Now, they just need to start Innovations as I would like to have my bathroom remodeled - just a suttle hint to the owner. Thanks for a Great Job!
Description of Work: I have a 44 year old home that I just purchased. Exovations basically did a complete face lift. All rotten wood was removed. Vinyl siding, fascia, & soffits installed. Carport closed in and a garage door & opener installed. All the windows were replaced. All the columns under the Front porch replaced. All new gutters and down spouts. Vinyl siding and paint on the out building.

We shopped several companies and decided on Exovations due to Angie's List Ratings, a neighbor's experience, and the competitive response in pricing due to Senior Management involvement. I would note that the Sales rep (Chad) did an outstanding job of explaining their product and process. From there, the Project Manager (Tony) took time with us to explain exactly what the timeline was and what to expect along the way. Tony is one of the few in this business who says what he means and means what he says. We had many questions, special requests along the way, and Tony was always available during this process to make sure that things were done right. The end result definitely exceeded our expectations and after 19+ years, our house looks new again. I would say that this is by far and away, our best experience with any construction trade vendor EVER.

Bait-and-Switch?? You decide....... I called Exovations to get a quote on a deck job that my wife and i wanted done. We wanted our cur rent deck redone with new planking and railings as well as having it expanded. I called Exovations and set up a date for them to come out and estimate the job. The rep scheduled to come out called me 1 hour prior to the appointment and even showed up 10 minutes early at our house. I have to give them kudos for their professionalism to this point. I explained what we wanted done and left the rep alone to make his measurements and draw out what needed to be done. About 30 minutes later, he came to the door and we sat down and went over his pamphlets of info he gave me explaining about Exovations and what we could expect from them and the warranties and so forth. I thanked him for coming out and he left. He then contacted me via email a day or two later asking me if I had a chance to talk it over with my wife. I told him that we were waiting on 2 more quotes to come in and would be in touch with him in a couple days. He responded and told me he understood and reminded me that Exovations matches quotes. I am posting his direct quote responses in bold. "Don't forget about our price match guarantees. I really want to work with you guys and would appreciate the opportunity to have the last look. I will do what it takes to earn your business!" One of the quotes from a competitor (from Angies list) came in $2,370 lower then Exovations. When I told this to the sales rep, he asked me to send him the quote and told me it did not need to include the competitors name in the quote. Here is his direct quote reply: "Can you email me a copy of the competitors quote? I don't need to see what company it is. If not, I can try and swing by and pick up a copy later this afternoon or tomorrow morning." I told him via email that the only way I could send him the quote without the company name on it was to copy and paste onto an email to him. His reply to my email was: "that works". He then wrote me an email asking if the competitor was warranting the deck. I replied to him that I was told there was a 3 year warranty on the deck from the compeitor and would receive that in writing if we chose them to do the work. My Exovations rep then sent the quote I emailed him to his sales manager over this past weekend. Today I received an email from the Exovations rep stating that they could not match the quote I got from the competitor due to the warranty sounding "suspicious" and them not knowing if it was a real or licensed contractor from the quote I sent them (even though I was told that I did not need to include the contractors name in the quote). However, Exovations evidently thought the contractor was real and licensed enough to offer to meet me half way in the difference of the quotes. Here is the direct quoted email denying the price match: "I spoke to my sales manager this morning. He told me that because the other company offers such a suspiciously weak warranty and we only have an email to go by instead of an actual quote/contract (which I was told was ok ) we cannot match the price. He did say, however, that he would be willing to meet you half way. I will understand if you decide to go with the less expensive deck as I have lost lobs to lower bids before." I am a person of "say what you mean and do what you say". Obviously Exovations does not follow that same logic or business practice. This is exactly what Angies list is for. To weed out the good and the not so good. The competitor is happy to have our business (especially in this economy) and will receive all the praise it deserves here on Angies list after the job is finished.

Response from EXOVATIONS of Atlanta
Member - I apologize for your experience with our sales person. In no way do we intend to bait and switch any client. We offer a Competitve Price Guarantee which is posted on our website and details the criteria of our pricing guarantee. We offer this guarantee to our clients because of the lack of detail in specifications most contractors offer in their proposals and contracts. Most of the time our customers have to ask our competitors to bring their proposal up to our specifications in order to make a reasonable comparison and in doing so they see that we offer the better value. Our only goal is only to help you make the most informed decision to meet your desired result of the project. That does not always mean EXOVATIONS is the right choice. Unfortunately, we didn't communicate this well and offer you the service we are capable of giving our prospective clients. Again, I apologize for your experience and wish you the best of luck with your project.

They were fabulous. Everything was on schedule. It was perfect. They started and ended on time. The quote was the best quote I received. It was cheaper than the others. I felt more comfortable with the explanation of everything. They were responsive, punctual, and professional. I would use this provider again.

I already submitted a report via phone relating to just the estimate process, which was great. Terry Brooks came out and spent time with us talking about exactly what we wanted and then provided a detailed estimate. Jim McCulloch was assigned as our project manager. The worked started on time and the crew was exceptional; hard-working, very professional, and remarkably fast. Jim was very responsive to any questions we had throughout the process. We actually ended up adding a couple of minor items during the work, and he was very conscious of our cost restrictions and willing to go over all available options with us. We couldn't be happier. They will definitely be our company of choice for any future work to be done on the exterior of our home.

We did hire Exovations to replace some doors and they did exterior painting. On the front door they had to rebuild the frame and they painted the exterior trim on the whole house. They did good quality work and they are very thorough. They were rather expensive but the quality of their work was well worth it. I would use them again and I highly recommend them.

I'm pleased with them. They were very professional and on time. They just did a really good job and they're very professional. They knew what they were doing. They had the right crew. They had a different crew to paint and a different crew to do the siding. Everybody seemed like they really had their act together and it looks fantastic now. We love it. The contractor was great. He was very professional. I never ever worried about those guys showing up on time or being respectful in the house. Everything was great.

Project manager took more of a hands off approach. Team installing deck provided more guidance and knowledge than project manager. Had to change deck design midway through. Not strong in assisting with design ideas. Didn't go as Smoothly as hoped.

They are currently working for us from past one week. So it’s great from the time we have decided to go with them. They have been very organized, very responsive and we are looking for it. Their prices were as comparable to others that we checked with.
Description of Work: Exovations gave an estimate on the 13th of December. The estimate was about $19500. They are going to replace a deck, front porch and stuff for us for that estimate.
