Description of Work: Replaced roof March 2010. First the wrong color shingles were used. We didn't like the color and our homeowners association issued a complaint immediately. The foreman actually called the homeowners association to verify that they didn't approve of the color! He was going to try and make us keep it. Whether they did or didn't wasn't the issue, it's not what we ordered and we didn't want it! They then put on the correct tiles....except for over our dormers. The dormers had a different color for some reason. When we called to complain, they guy was rude and refused to do anything about it until he could come out and verify that the color was different.....which he did of course since it was VERY noticeable. As if we had nothing to do but have more work done on our roof? Anyway, fast forward a few years. We've had to have leaks repaired and were informed by the company doing the repairs that the reason for the leaks is because of shoddy work. 1) the replacement board that Cornerstone put in had a knothole that they chose to ignore and just cover up. 2) the corner seams are done poorly. The tiles should crisscross and they installed them just meeting in the middle. To avoid major rework, we now have a "lovely" caulking job done on the back of the house to keep water out of this area. Due to many personal issues we had put off looking into the leaks, so we missed the 5 year work warranty and had to pay for the fixes.

Description of Work: They repaired some shingles that had blown off and on another occasion, they also replaced shingles around a drainpipe that was causing a leak.

Description of Work: I have used Cornerstone Roofing in the past to repair shingles and a few other roof related issues several years ago. I was very happy with the quality of work. They were very punctual and responsive. I don't know what has changed but I have contacted them on 2 different occasions (once in November, 2013 and again in April, 2014 because I thought maybe the original message wasn't delivered to them) and have yet to hear back. It's very disappointing at their lack of response or maybe they are just too busy and don't need repeat business.

Description of Work: I can't speak to the quality of work, because we never got to that point. Working through insurance company difficulties, CRS became completely unresponsive. Refused to answer questions, did not demonstrate any concern with my situation by following up or even responding to direct email and phone calls. Would not use this vendor again for any roofing needs.

+ -1 moreWe hired Cornerstone to replace one damaged pipe boot over our master bathroom because of a leak that was showing up on the ceiling. Cornerstone came out, inspected the attic area and saw daylight, revealing where the leak originated. We agreed to hire them to replace the damaged pipe boot for $215. While up on the roof, they called to indicate that the other two pipe boots on the other side of the roof were also in need of replacement. We had experienced no leaks in those areas, but figured since they were already mobilized and the additional cost was only $200, we would authorize the additional work. They completed the replacement of all three pipe boots for the agreed upon total price of $415. Almost five years on, we have had no additional issues with the roof or the pipe boots.

+ -1 moreThey sub the work out. The same guy who came out was the owner. I know I paid a little more, but they were good. The price was super. He did what he said he would do. They came when they should have, they did what they should have. They were good. They did a lot of gutter. They helped me pick out a better colour. It was a guy called Kerry Rogan.
Description of Work: I used Cornerstone Roofing for gutter repair. They had quite a bit of footage to do, all around the house.

+ -1 moreThere were some recent heavy rains, which caused a leak in my ceiling. The leak was pretty bad and I called several roofers to see if someone could come out asap. Kerry at Cornerstone Roofing was able to come out quickly, assess the damage and give me a quote before he left. Another roofer had also come out - his opinion of what needed to be repaired did not match up with Cornerstone's and his quote was much higher. Obviously price was a factor but I was more concerned about getting it repaired correctly. Even if the other quote was the same, I would have chosen Cornerstone because I just got a better feeling from Kerry and what he was telling me needed to be done. I felt like he was honest and straightforward, which is I think is more important and valuable. I am so glad that I chose Cornerstone. Since the work was done, we've had more rains but I have not had any more leaks! Thanks Kerry!!

Description of Work: I had previously used Cornerstone roofing to install new gutters a couple of years ago. I was very pleased with the work preformed and the quality of the materials used. I also got a quote on a new roof at that time. The roof wasn't in that bad a shape so I waited. I promised their salesman at the time I would get an estimate for roofing in a couple of years. Roofing shingles have gone up 30%, but their recent quote even though higher than a couple of years ago, it was no where near 30% higher. This was also an upgrade for roofing felt and to architectural shingles. Not only was a pleased with the price of the job, the quality of work was exceptional. Clean up was also exceptional.

Description of Work: We had roof leak and called Cornerstone. He came and expained leak coming from toe boards. He fixed the area of leak and checked other areas and sealed around roof vents to prevent any other leaks.

+ -1 moreEverything went beautifully. I highly recommend Cornerston and their owner, who is a man of few words. So I also highly recommend that you get estimates from Dr. Roof, at least, and one other, because each estimator tells you more and you get smarter.
Description of Work: Total re-roofing. Take at least estimates. I saved $1000, primarily because a neighbor is an engineer and had watched him reroof our club house and praised his work. His estimate was not a complete as Dr. Roof, and he prefers not to use a written contract. I would recomend that you do a writtend contract.

During the job, they notified me of decisions that needed to be made (keep or remove cupola, install a roof vent, replace gutters, etc.) and gave me the pros and cons of each decision. The crew was professional and clean; after they were done, the house was completely cleaned up and the triple checked the driveway for any nails. I am thrilled with my roof and thrilled at the job that Cornerstone did for me. They were professional, honest and high-quality.

+ -1 moreThey came out on a weekend prior to the fourth of July. They came when they said they were going to. They did the whole job that one day. They worked from 8 in the morning to 8 at night. He came around, did not ask for the money up front, asked if we had insurance but did not ask how much and asked if we wanted to upgrade. Basically, all we paid for is the upgrade. We called other people and this guy gave me the best estimate. I was very impressed. They cleaned up the whole place, I was impressed. They come and clean up the nails and everything.
