Banks Septic

They searched for the septic tank as this property is a foreclosure and we didn't know where it was. It took some time, but they found it and cleaned it. They did a very good job. They came as scheduled.

Wonderful experience. Everyone was professional and courteous. It was very easy to schedule an appointment. They showed up on time on the day of my appointment and quickly pumped the tank.

We think they're great! They are good people. Very super friendly and the second time they came, they knew exactly where to go and dig, remembered everything. I didn't have to tell them where to go and they didn't have to search for spots to dig. They knew what to do and went about their business. They didn't take up any of my time. It was a pleasure doing business with them, cleaned up and good folks!

The service by techs was good, they were friendly and efficient. Pumping the tank has so far proven effective in eliminating indoor plumbing backups. Get quote for services in writing before services are performed! Final cost that techs requested was more than quote provided on phone by office staff. Reason given by office staff is either customer is given a discount based on being a repeat customer or, discount given for coupon on Angie's List is applied to original price of service, not both. When I agreed to service, my impression was that I would receive both repeat customer discount and coupon discount which would have discounted the service to about $225.00. I ended up paying about $260.00 for the service. If I had known the coupon and the repeat customer discount could not be combined, I would not have spent the money for Angie's List since the repeat customer discount works out to be the same discount as the Angie's List coupon.

It went fine. Scheduling was smooth and quick. The receptionist gave me a breakdown of the price over the phone. On the day of service, one of the technicians, Paul, gave me a courtesy call to let me know they were on their way. The two technicians arrived on time and went right to work. They had the right tools to do the job quickly and efficiently. They tested the septic system in the front by making sure the drain from the house was working. The septic system in the back of my house has never been used since I have an unfinished basement. They were able to locate that fairly quickly. It helped that I had the drawing from the Fulton County Environmental Health Dept. indicating the locations of my systems. There was a sprinkler line that laid above the back tank. They were very careful not to damage it as they were digging. They opened the lid of the back tank only part way to look inside and did not check the incoming and outgoing drains because of the sprinkler line; removing the lid completely would have required more effort. That was OK with me, since we've never used that system nor plan to use it any time soon. However, I was expecting the cost of inspecting the rear tank ($125) to include pipe inspection. When they were done, all the dirt was put back in place and packed down. The yards looked the same as when they arrived. The whole job took about 2 hours. Paul was very knowledgeable, patient in answering all my questions, and gave good advice regarding my systems. The company also sent a written report/certification a few days later. That was included in the price.

Paul and Pedro were very professional and friendly on the job. Paul explained me how the septic tank dos and don'ts and how it works. I did like the fact they called 15-30 mins ahead before their arrival to complete the task. - No mess - Very simple process to dig up a small hole where the septic tank is located for pump out. - Everything was put back the way it should be. Excellent work! : )

They were easy to work with and on time. They did not push me to spend extra money on unneeded services. I would use this company again.

They arrived on time and got right to work. It took them less than an hour to locate the tank and dig to the tank lid, pump out the tank, replace the lid, fill in the hole and rake the soil that was dug up. They were very knowledgeable and professional. I would definitely recommend this company.

Called Banks on Monday to come check out water backing out of our clean out in the septic line. We had the septic tank pumped one year earlier and I feared that there was something more serious going on. The crew came out early on their appointment day after calling to check if that was OK. When they arrived, the went right to work locating the tank. Within minutes they had located it and their mini backhoe opened up access to the cap right on target. The entire time I watched as they made sure to pull back downspout drains that went down the hill over the septic tank area. I was astonished at the care they took accessing the tank. One year earlier a 30 x 30 section of grass was covered by the dirt removed by a previous septic company I used. After opening the tank, they found a clog in the baffle, removed the clog and ran a line up the feed to remove backed up debris. With the previous company, just pulling out the hose to do a similar process was an additional 125 upcharge. Once they removed the clog and told me that the tank looked like it was functioning properly and that I should not have any concerns, they asked if I still wanted the tank pumped. Since they were already in there, I said sure. The crew immediately backed the truck into the driveway and began removing the hoses necessary for the pumping. From the driveway to the location of the tanks required 4 sections of hose. The previous company charged me for each additional section of hose. Once the tank was cleaned, they used the same attention to detail to gently replace the dirt, take care of the plantings, and smooth the hill. I was waiting to hear the new total for all the services they completed, running the hose, clearing the clog, pumping the tank, dragging in extra pump lines etc. Surprise! The cost for the service was the same amount they quoted before starting the job. Banks never told me I needed additional services, never charged me for bringing out additional tools, never told me I needed "The Treatment" (a "special" powder that should be run through my field for $$$), never tried to replace the PVC baffles, never tried to charge me for additional hoses or for having to dig deeper than 2 feet etc. in short they did what they said they would do and never tried to get more out of the job. Other companies work on commission, these folks just work! These guys have my business for life!! Oh yes and if you ever consider the other company Rooter Plus in Cumming don't. Banks Septic Tank Services are hands down the best of the 3 companies I have used in the past.

Great response. Two men came out to clean the tank. Found the tank in the area I knew it was in. Dug down a few feet to get to both sides of the tank. Did not mess up the lawn too much, though could use some training on removing the lawn using a sod rake so it looks better when done. They told me it was only a matter of time (few days to month or so) before it would have been a huge problem. There was a very thick layer of "cake" on top of the tank. The previous owner had not had it cleaned out in the 7 years he lived here. I am very lucky to have thought of doing this BEFORE a problem occurred. Took them a hour or two to complete from dig out to fill in. Only complaint was I was told it was $400 on the phone and was charged $410 when they came out. $10 is $10 but overall happy with job.

A plumber working on a problem told me that the problem was that the property had a septic tank that needed to be cleaned out, but when Banks came they found that the plumber was wrong and there was no septic tank. They submitted a bill for $125 but when I explained the problem to the owner he agreed to accept $50 to offset his costs of gas and labor, which I felt was quite reasonable.

I called the number for Banks on a Saturday about 7pm, with a backed up drainage system in the house. Banks advertises as working Monday to Friday, so I wasn't optimistic about having someone out on a Sunday, despite their high ranking on Angie's list. Matt called back about 10:30pm Saturday night (returning from another job), promising he could make it by Sunday afternoon. Not knowing if I would for sure use his services, Matt proceeded to give me some good, general advice in case I used someone else. This was the first sign I was dealing with a professional. I called Matt Sunday morning and confirmed that I wanted him to come out. He came by as promised Sunday afternoon and emptied the tank, taking as much care as possible not to mess up the grass in the yard with the tractor. Since my house is older, I asked Matt about installing a "clean out" in the line going to the tank. Matt, being the pro that he is, actually talked me DOWN from additional work (and $$$), saying he didn't think I really needed it, but that he would be glad to install it if I wanted. In the end, I decided against the additional work, but overall I'm very impressed with the professionalism displayed by Banks Septic. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone to use their services.

I called Banks because Angie's List recommended them. Secretary set up an evaluation for the next day. Matt was punctual and very professional. He spent a lot of time explaining to me how the system works and what my best options were. They came out the next day, on time, and emptied the tank quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend them for any service.

We chose them because they were one of the 2 top ones on Angieslist. They did their job and we would use them again in future.

They provided a great service. They seemed to be honest, and informed us while they were pumping, any problems they noticed and was able to fix. They were thorough, and reasonably priced for the quality work they performed. We will continue to use their services in the future.

We called around for septic cleaning, and most places were charging anywhere from $300 - $350 for service. I am unfamiliar with the companies in the area, since we are new to the area, so we called up the guy who did our home inspection and asked him if he had any recommendations. He recommended Banks, so we called them up. The cost was $285 with no hidden fees, unlike some of the others that we called who charged additional costs per hour if the dig took longer than 30 min, etc. We scheduled them a few days prior to the service date. They arrived on time, and even called ahead to let us know they were on schedule and would be arriving by 4pm. They were very professional and did a great job. They answered all the questions we had about the tank itself and what type of maintenance we should keep in mind, etc. They checked all the components in the septic tank - fitlers, drainage lines, etc, and let us know exactly what to expect in the future with it. We will certainly have them in our list of folks to call when we do need another service call on the tank in the future. The job was done quickly and efficiently and they even put the yard back to rights when they were complete. There was no mess left over, the grass was cut away neatly and returned just as if it hadn't been disturbed. We were told to water it for a few days and step on it to get it to settle correctly, which we're doing. It looks great, and we're very pleased with the service.

This is my second time working with these guys. The first time I used them was a direct referral from a builder friend (a year and 1/2 ago). I forgot all about my first experience and "Checked the List"- found them again! We had found a septic tank in way of construction. Their same-day (within hours) service kept us from running into any construction delays. Prompt, professional service with a fair price.

A very good job. Job was completed in 1.5 hours, this included pumping the tank and installing 3 feet of risers. Very professional and on-time.
